Also maybe some experts can help me. On day 1, God separate the light and darkness. I wonder is that a time separation or spacial separation? If that light in day 1 is God, how did it work? If that light is not God, how did it work.
The early days not very easy to grasp.

Light is information. Light is life:

John 8:12 - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Here we see that darkness cannot 'comprehend' light:

John 1:5 - And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Thus, light would be Wisdom and darkness would be ignorance.

Proverbs 8:22-23 - The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Apparently, creating a universe from scratch requires variables like information, logic, wisdom, truth etc. before anything tangible can be made. Separating light from darkness is very 'digital' in nature, i.e., separating ones from zeros.

Can we agree on "approximate" 12 hours of night followed by and "approximate" 12 hours of day?

About the 3rd week in June the days grow shorter while the nights begin to grow longer.
On Winter solstice the shortest day of the year begins to grow longer while the longest night of the year begins to grow shorter.
Not necessarily for creation day 1, 2, 3... a lot of interesting stuff.
Hapoy reading.

Absolutely spot-on.

Earth was not created until the Third Day:

Genesis 1:10 - And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

The 'firmament' was not earth's atmosphere. Consequently, most do not even know what the three heavens are.

Where did God dwell before he made the three heavens? If folks wish to go to the 'beginning', I would suggest starting there.
So on day 1, the earth is not in day 3 s form yet.
I kind of agree.
So you can say the current time earth is not formed until day 3, or even day 4. Because earth and sun are related in action.

I would say there is likely a theological connection between the light of Genesis 1 and the later biblical themes of truth, wisdom, and life.
But I'm not convinced Genesis 1 is merely about information, logic, or digital-like ones and zeros.
The text says God created light and separated it from darkness.
Later Scripture builds on that reality and uses light as a powerful symbol of Christ, truth, wisdom, and life.
The symbolism may be rooted in Genesis, but it should not replace the plain meaning of Genesis.

I think at day 1, the darkness was just without light. Imagine without light?

from the text, it seems on day 1 here is the sequence of creation:
1. Time
2. Earth, water
3. Light

The phrase 'without form and void' is very literal. At that point the earth was like a two-dimensional drawing on a piece of paper. It was just an idea that had to be created in a very detailed process. Most people forget to use the entire Bible to piece it all together.

Take this verse for example:

Proverbs 8:26-27 - While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

Everyone here is teaching falsehoods and should take note of the above. Somehow I doubt they will correct themselves.

Anyhow...

The 'face of the depth' existed *BEFORE* earth was created! Thus, the 'waters' was not H20. It was not earth's oceans.

God is making a blueprint in Genesis. He sets a compass on the mayim and draws a circle:

Isaiah 40:22 - It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

The above verse is *before* earth was created. The inhabitants are drawn to scale on the blueprint.

I think you're reading several texts together in a way that goes far beyond what any of them explicitly say.
Proverbs 8 is personified wisdom speaking.
It does not say the earth was a two-dimensional blueprint, nor does it say the inhabitants of the earth were drawn onto a celestial design before creation.
Likewise, Isaiah 40:22 is describing God's sovereignty over the earth, not giving a chronological account of events before Genesis 1.
More importantly, Genesis 1:1 already says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
So when Genesis 1:2 describes the earth as "without form and void," the text is speaking about an earth that already exists, not merely an idea or blueprint that has yet to be created.
The phrase "without form and void" describes an unformed and unfilled world awaiting God's ordering work.
It does not necessarily mean non-physical, two-dimensional, or purely conceptual.
Your model is creative, but the question is whether the texts actually teach it.
At several points the interpretation seems to depend more on speculation and symbolism than on what the passages themselves say. The safest approach is to let each text speak in its own context before combining them into a larger theory.

I agree with both of you to keep an open mind, all is possible.
The earth we are in today, definitely not same as day 1, 2, 3. Probably by end of day 4 is same.
Cheers 🍻 🥂

You are getting into an area that most will never comprehend. The Bible teaches we live in a simulation:

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

In the beginning, the Word was all that existed. It was and still is information that is alive. It is the Living Word that existed before the three heavens were made. It is a place of consuming fire. It is like the Theory of Everything and Unified Field. Only Jesus can go there because he is God:

1 Timothy 6:16 - Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

None of us will ever get to go there or see it or we will die the Second Death. It is a place beyond what most call 'Heaven'. It is 'Power Everlasting'. Maybe it's where matter and antimatter are combined.

Eventually, the Word manifested the Spirit Realm *first*. That is Eden before the Fall. No physical particles existed yet:

Hebrews 11:3 -Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The Word of God is like a software code that manifests reality.

What science calls the 'Big Bang' was when Adam and his wife partook of the Forbidden Fruit. It was the wave function collapse.

Look up Participatory Anthropic Principle:

1790953448319.png

Their 'eyes were opened'. They collapsed the wave. They died in the process. We now exist in a fallen state.

Thus all of this talk of 'oceans and plants and thermodynamics' does not apply the way we think it does.

Thermodynamics began here:

Genesis 3:8 - And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

'Cool of the day' means entropy has now been added to the universe.

Agree in the beginning God only, but throughout the duration of day 1, earth is coming, either in blueprint or some mushey formless mud all possible, also light came in, the separation of light and darkness. A lot going on in day 1, very important.

Agree no entropy until the curse. Thermal law 2, love it, or hate it.

You have made an error, and it has extremely serious repercussions. Read the rest of John 1:1 “and the word was God”.

“The Word” is not a place, but a Person. He is Jesus Christ. Read carefully through John 1 and ask the Lord to open your eyes to this simple truth.

However thermal law 1 was in creation week, God created all finished. Conservation kick in. No new creation, but transfer in between ok.

Sigh @OMC . Your responses are so predictable. It's like you get your answers from a primitive form of A.I. with a Bible literacy of a Sunday School teaching. Of course it's not going to comprehend things that are Spiritual. It takes one with the Holy Spirit to discern these things.

It does not say the earth was a two-dimensional blueprint...

You literally contradicted this verse:

Proverbs 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

Does your A.I. even know what a compass is and what it is used for? Come on man.

More importantly, Genesis 1:1 already says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

I can see you haven't really studied that. I would suggest doing more research on what is said in the original Hebrew:

Your model is creative, but the question is whether the texts actually teach it.

Thanks Milk of the Word A.I. I appreciate your response, but the question is already answered.

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Something had to happen for the darkness to come. The cause was not of God, but of Satan. Satan is the ruler of the darkness of this world. The darkness had to have come from his fall from being an anointed Cherub.

You have made an error, and it has extremely serious repercussions. Read the rest of John 1:1 “and the word was God”.

Oh my! Just look at the error I made!

Only Jesus can go there because he is God

John 1:1 teaches the Trinity:

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  1. Word was with God: Son
  2. Word was God: Father
  3. Word is alive: Holy Spirit
All three exist in that Sacred Space at the same time. You can claim that Jesus is not God all you want. I will believe my Bible.

One more post and I have to go do my chores.

Genesis 1:6 - And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

First, what are the 'waters'? They are boundaries between dimensions:

Waters Below: Boundary between 2D and 3D, Underworld, Chaos, Abyss, Hell
Waters Above: Boundary between 3D and 4D, Sea of Glass, Psalms 148:4

The 'firmament' is the 3D space in between. God 'separated' the Brane into three dimensional space.

You folks have a bad habit of 'dumbing down' God to your level of understanding.

Don't be this guy...

Be nice.
Compass not necessarily mean day 1 earth is on blueprint paper, but I admit it is possible, but not explicit.

When understand scripture, we need to humble ourselves, it is absolutely yes, then yes, if it is unclear, then we admit, and allow for different guessing.
We are only human, non of us know every detail. Unless one of us not human?

The Hebrew explains the earth was a completed earth in Genesis 1:1 and by Verse 2 it became without form and void.

Jeremiah explains what God is looking at in Genesis 1:2

23 I looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void;
and to the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking,
and all the hills moved to and fro.
25 I looked, and behold, there was no man,
and all the birds of the air had fled.
26 I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert,
and all its cities were laid in ruins
before the Lord, before his fierce anger.

My understanding Gen 1:1 is summery.

Gen 1:2 starting the details.

Not necessarily gap theory. Because it is hard to find gap theory back up in rest scripture.
