  • The Shadow: A shadow has no life of its own; it only exists because a real object is casting it. The seventh-day Sabbath was a shadow cast forward into history to show what true rest would look like.
  • The Body: Once the Actual person arrives, you no longer look at or cling to the shadow on the ground. You look at the person. Christ is the substance.
Direction is important..

The things that are a shadow were cerimonial feasts and introduced services that pointed forward to Jesus.

The lamb, the blood offering, the pass over. They all pointed to Jesus. Jesus is the true literal type, that cast a shadow back in time. Shadows were finished at the literal time of Jesus when type meet antitype.

But the sabbath does not fit this pattern.
It was made for man before a saviour was needed. It was created at the beginning before sin.

The shadow was not created before sin.

When we are asked to Remember the sabbath day we are not pointed to the cross in the future but to creation in the past.

The sabbath is kept in remembrance is of creation. Creation is not a shadow that is nailed to the cross.

The sabbath is more then just rest.
It is a sanctified and holy and blessed day to remember God as the creator and Lord.

Exo 20:8-11
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:

The sabbath of the LORD thy God. Sounds like more then a shadow...

..... 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

If it was blessed and hallowed or sanctified before sin when has this ever been changed? Not a shadow.

The sabbath looks back
Shadows looked forward.

Squirrel I going to leave crumbles of knowledge . he went with the first high priest Aaron I believe. And he was to Spirit fill the whole room became upon the people his hand stayed up high until that full spirit .This blessing it's always the 8th day. If you know what to ask day is Jenny would understand the Lord God as the first day of new beginning it's throughout the Old Testament the fulfillment of the Sabbath holy spirit is the eighth Day . The gospel will tell you the first fay mary etc the Old Testament tells you that eighth both tell about the blessing . Don't forget Jesus left with his hands raised like Aaron just the raves until all are blessed if we're not receiving the true Sabbath
I still see Jesus with his hands up waiting on the Holy Spirit to come upon you all he seated still take the crumbs back to the beginning the first high priest get to know Jesus by the Holy Spirit which is him Himself and forget what men try to teach the Pharisees and the elders back in Jesus day it was a death sentence to not Sabbath it is not my job to seek out the Sabbath defile but no it is a death penalty but in this case it's the Second eternal death that you're not seeing. Behold this message from the Sparrow

The claim that the Sabbath was only an Old Covenant institution fails when Scripture's timeline is examined. The Sabbath was not introduced at Sinai. It appears before Israel existed as a nation...Genesis 2:2–3 states: "God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done." The Sabbath is rooted in creation itself, not merely the Mosaic covenant...Then, when the Ten Commandments were given, the 4th commandment does not say "create a new Sabbath." It says: "REMEMBER the Sabbath day by keeping it holy." — Exodus 20:8 To remember something means it was already established and known...The commandment connects directly back to creation: "For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth... but He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." — Exodus 20:11...So the biblical sequence is: Creation → Sabbath established → Israel commanded to remember → Sabbath observed. The question is not whether the Sabbath existed under the Old Covenant. It clearly did...The question is whether something established by God at creation and included in the moral law is abolished simply because the Old Covenant reached fulfillment. To also note that marriage as well was also included in the mosaic laws and establish in the days of creation but yet we do not say that marriage is fullfilled. We cant be isolating the Sabbath alone. Jesus said: "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath." — Mark 2:27...Notice He did not say the Sabbath was made only for Israel. The foundation of the Sabbath is creation, the command is remembrance, and its purpose predates Sinai. In the book of Revelations 1:10 “I was in the spirit in the Lord’s day” Jesus said he is Lord over the sabbath day and John is busy addressing Jesus himself when he is talking about his experience on the Lord’s day, the Lord’s day is the day Jesus is Lord over which as he said is the sabbath day thus the Lord’s day is Sabbath.
For those who are still stuck on the Sabbath question Understand that if you are in Christ you have entered into His rest and therefor are fulfilling the Sabbath. The once Carnal ordinace of the Sabbath is now found and fulfilled in Jesus Messiah. no need to follow carnal ordinaces that have no lasting truth for the everlasting Sabbath is found in our everlasting God through Jesus.

Please explain???

The cerimonial has past away.
The sabbath of the LORD has not.

Jesus never said to stop keeping the weekly sabbath.
I'm not sure what you want explanation for but Jesus fulfilled it. he's the 8th day blessing to all receive the Holy Spirit . Just like Aaron on the 8th day after the 7th Day Sabbath he raised his arms up high for the whole room was filled with the Holy Spirit and came onto All the people. Then Aaron could lower his Aaron could lower His Hands
got to put it all together you even got to go back to where the First Kings met together and learn where the raising of the hands came from and blessing with the Holy Spirit. Nothing here is false but you can't mix and match to make it fit they only fits one way and that's exactly what Jesus showed in the top it off realize what Holy Spirit wasn't poured out into the 50th day when you figure that out you'll know the blessing comes for the very first day which is the 8th day it's the same in the Old Testament it's a new beginning New blessing Old Testament never seen before except for a very few transition apostles we're back to Dan transition apostles now because of old wants to come back to life

How do you figure which day is the 8th day of a weekly cycle?

II don't like the saying shadow but I did only because people don't understand me trying to speak in image languages doesn't help it puts me back into the old where I had no Holy Spirit . But I don't mind looking back but I'm staying there.
Scoffing and mocking does not help you.
In fact it negates anything you might have to say any more.
That's what's happening what do you want to roll over and say it's okay when it's not

Btw the sun and moon shall not be the light . God himself and them that are lights of his light
so start shine now if the light is in u can't do that in darkness celebrating making up stuff that he did not bless in his new finished Kingdom

What it comes down to for many here is..

the definition of sin.

What God expects

How we are saved

The definition of sin. For me is the transgression of God's law. As stated by John. 1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Many claim it is not the 10 commandments but the law of Jesus. The problem I have is that Jesus and the father are one. Jesus perfectly obeyed the 10 commandments and we are to copy the life of Jesus. The 10 commandments are broad. The definition of all sin is incorporated in the 10 commandments. The definition of sin is to disobey what God has told us to obey.
God said the sabbath was Sanctified and if we make it unsanctifed we are disobeying God.

What God expects. God has always expected obedience. From the start God expected Adam to obey and Noah to obey and when people disobey they are sinning.
Obedience is our way of saying we trust and have faith in God. Works can not be seperated from faith.
By faith we recieve the Spirit of God and the Spirit works in us.
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
It isn't hard to see that God always expected, desired, hoped, that His people would obey Him. When people disobeyed they sined and often had side effects. Babylon, David, 40 years in the wilderness. Etc.

How we are saved.
We are saved by grace through faith.
We are saved from sin by Jesus.
Like a jail we are stuck with no way out.
The chains of sin have made us unable to free ourselves. But Jesus is able. Jesus came to remove the chains and give us freedom. Obedience is not possible in the flesh, we will fail when we use human power. But with divine power we can not fail.
Obedience is a sign that divine power is working in us.

Knowing that obedience is God's expectation, and knowing that we can obey by faith, we need to exercise faith in Jesus.

Faith in Jesus = obedience.
Obedience = salvation from sin.
Past sins are forgiven by faith and repentance. Future sins are overcome by obedience through faith in Jesus.
So Jesus' work was incomplete? Your works aren't going to save you from future sins. Only Jesus can and did that. If you're relying on your own works to complete His work, you're definitely going to come up short.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rom 8:7-10
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

the ultimate shift from the old covenant to the new.
Under the law of Moses, high priests like Aaron and his sons had infirmity—they were weak, mortal men who sinned and eventually died. Because of this, their seven-day consecration had to be repeated for every new generation of priests, and they constantly had to offer sacrifices for their own sins before they could bless anyone else.
But the word of the oath, which came after the law, changed everything:
  • It established a permanent King and Priest: The Father swore an unchangeable oath: "The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek" (Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 7:21).
  • It is Consecrated For Evermore: The king does not need a weekly reset or a repeating ritual. His consecration was finished once and for all through the cross and the resurrection.
Because He is consecrated for evermore, He stands eternally on the eighth day—the day of permanent blessing, permanent life, and permanent rest. He doesn't just step out of the Tabernacle once a week to bless the people; He lives eternally to pour out His Spirit into the hearts of those who rest in His finished work.

Don't answer lol
