Revelation has 42 months and 1260 days. 3,5 years plus 3,5 years equals 7. Some believe its just 3,5 years, alright, however you want to interpret it, it is a short time period, the time of Jacob's trouble at the end right prior to the second coming.

I interpret those time periods in the same manner as Daniel's 'seventy sevens'. In other words, they must all utilize the same 'day/year principle', otherwise the prophecies don't work.

Most people 'flip-flop' between days and years in order to make their theories work. Daniel does not allow for those kinds of 'mental gymnastics' so to speak.

In other words, 1260 days become 1260 years. 1290 days become 1290 years. 1335 days become 1335 years, and 2300 days become 2300 years. Once Daniel and Revelation are interpreted with day/year principle in mind, everything lines up simply and beautifully. In other words, it all points to the finished work on the Cross. It's all about Jesus.

Why do you call it "imaginary" when the 42 months / 1260 days is specifically mentioned in the book of Revelation? And the 70th week of Daniel.

For example:

Revelation 12:6 - And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The Woman:
The woman is whoever is carrying Her Seed, i.e., the Seed that began with Eve. In the context of Revelation 12:1, the Woman encompasses all of the moms that carried the Seed of the Messiah from Sarah to Mary.

...fled into the wilderness...:
This is referring to the Exodus.

...where she hath a place prepared of God...:
This is referring to the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, i.e., the Temple Body of the Messiah. In other words, the Seed of the Woman has been anthropomorphized.

...they should feed her there...:
The Tabernacles and Temples are symbolic of eukaryotic cells. The Israelites were being trained on how to minister to God and take care of his biology while here on earth. This is an extremely important role:

...a thousand two hundred and threescore days.:
This would be the late date Exodus of roughly 1260 years:

  • After 1260 years, Jesus was born.
  • Thirty years later (1290) he began his ministry.
  • Forty-five years later (1335) the destruction of Jerusalem occured.
Thus, 1335 is the number of years from the first temple to the last. Easy peasy.

It's all about Jesus and his Temple Body and how he trained the Israelites to minister to his earthly biology and 'feed Her Seed' and nourish it as if it were the most precious thing to ever exist.

Replacement theology.
( israel no longer exists or is relevant to God or heaven)
All references to Israel are actually to the church?

Oh, I see... lol. So many options to choose from.

Although I am not a Universalist, I do believe that all will be saved in the end. I wish I could explain my position, but it looks like that topic is against the rules. Bummer.

Daniel 12:12Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

How can a man wait that many years? I say its days.

The so called 'Third Temple' is a prime example of how so many have fallen for the false narrative. Christians cheer on its construction because they believe Jesus will come soon after. That's actually sick behavior. Many Christians are ill right now, not understanding the evil that they are promoting. It's all extremely unbiblical. So yeah, the building of the Third Temple will benefit many evil people in terms of gaining the world in exchange for losing their soul.

I think you're in denial because you're afraid of the persecution and death Christians will face in the great tribulation.

It's better to accept the truth and prepare to endure even unto death as Jesus commanded us. Jesus conquered death, so why be afraid of it?

Jesus taught a pretrib rapture.
Jesus taught a post-tribulation rapture in Matthew 24. As I pointed out in a previous post, the tribulation begins when Israel is required to flee from the City and this took place in 68-70AD. The tribulation doesn't end until he returns. The rapture takes place just before he meets with Israel in Jerusalem.

Great question. To answer it however requires a little bit of context that most have not been taught yet. Remember, Daniel 12 is a direct continuation from Daniel 11. Therefore, we need to properly exegete what is happening. The later verses of Daniel 11 are *not* future to us now as is commonly told. They are past.

I will start here:

Daniel 11:30 - For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

The above verse is about King Herod after finding out that Mark Antony lost the Battle of Actium. The 'indignation' is the Massacre of the Innocents when King Herod tried to kill baby Jesus.

Next:

Daniel 11:31 - And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

The 'arms' of the Roman Empire shall stand with King Herod. He ends up polluting the Temple with building projects and erecting eagles and whatnot. The Roman Empire (Little Horn of Daniel 8) eventually takes away the daily sacrifice and places the abomination (Crucifixion of Jesus) which causes desolation in 70 AD, i.e., 1335 years after the Tabernacle in the Wilderness was made.

OK, so now we are in the context of Jesus walking the earth. What do we read next?

Daniel 11:32-35 - And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

The above verses are foretelling the coming of Apostles, Disciples, teachers and the birth of Christians. Those that understood the verses knew that at a future time, there would be an Abomination of Desolation that would take place. The 'time of the end' is when the Roman Empire was birthed. It is not something we are waiting for now.

So, when did the Abomination of Desolation (Crucifixion of Jesus) take place? Here:

Daniel 9:27 - And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

In other words, those that really understood Daniel's prophecies could easily see that their Messiah would come at an appointed time, be killed and that Jerusalem would be desolated because of it. It wasn't a mystery. It was plainly laid out with exact 'days'.

Anyone that was a good student of the Old Testament should have been able to figure it out, and they did. Maybe John the Baptist understood. I don't know.

Long story short, there were many who knew what was coming and they would be blessed by heeding the warnings of Daniel and leaving Jerusalem by the time the 1335 days came. They 'waited' for the destruction to come while they rebuilt their lives elsewhere. God gave them plenty of time.

Please note that there might be other explanations that are better than what I present, but the one I offer is better than anything I have heard anyone else come up with.

I think you're in denial because you're afraid of the persecution and death Christians will face in the great tribulation.

Nah. I simply understand the brutal history of the past few thousand years.

My mom used to hide Jews in her basement when the Nazis came to kill them. She saw dead bodies hanging in the streets and bombs dropping all the time. My dad was in the Vietnam War. To marginalize what they and others went through is to make the word 'Tribulation' practially meaningless.

People that were born in the last few decades, at least in the United States, have no idea in the world what Tribulation is. They are spoiled to death. We are living in an unusual time of peace and safety. Where have I heard that?

Oh yeah...

1 Thessalonians 5:3 - For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Like I said earlier, the Great Tribulation is more about the hardships that the Jews went through and are going through now. Christians are always trying to make the Bible about themselves. Talk about 'Replacement Theology'.
