But if we delete the map of the human genome, that means we have to delete you too, because we can not have it replicated.

What is the purpose of this test. it's end goal. I'm just a skeptic.

It can't have a goal... it's a test.
Isn't the goal of every test to learn something about the subject?
So wouldn't greater knowledge and understanding of ourselves be the goal of this one?

The goal of a test is to see where one stands, to discover one's strengths and weaknesses and how to improve on one's weaknesses.

I think that's a commonality but not so accurate to this particular test. School exams for example are designed for that exact purpose, but this is not a test of a persons knowledge, it's more a test of revelation.

My impression is that it's not meant to show me where I stand or how to improve, because personality is a natural thing that evolves through life and should not be subject to forced change because that results in unnatural and unhealthy behaviour.

This test states that one type is not better than another, they are just different, so I don't see how it has anything to do with discovering strengths or weaknesses.

My point being... a test has no goal.

The goal is attributed to it by either the person giving or taking the test. Given the same test, the teacher may have a different goal than the student taking it, for example.

I got your point.
Perhaps you could explain in a bit more detail.....I don't really understand what you mean when you say a test has no goal, surely it must have a goal to have been originated in the first place.

Your example doesn't really help me understand what you're saying.

I thought that, but apparently it's not the goal because there is no goal, so there must be some rocket science in there somewhere :D

What? It's got nothin!...I've recently decided. lol
Agrees with Catlynn. We are women and, therefore, beyond such testings.

*rage against the test*

*Sets up a tent and occupies this thread with Catlynn until no one is ever tested anywhere ever again*....... well..except for my eyes. I need my glasses...
I am not a woman, but can I join the protest on this test?

I've always wondered why "rocket science" is apparently the epitome of intellectual heights... :) Maybe someone needs to devise a test for this as well--"When IS It On the Same Level as Rocket Science, People??!"
