I like big Bibles and I can not lie
You Christian brothers can’t deny
That when a girl walks in with a KJV
And a book mark in Proverbs
You get stoked
Got her name engraved
So you know that girl is saved

I was going to say thing along these lines TimOfreee, if a girl takes notes in church, turn on. If a girl takes notes on singles night, even more so. I notice that plus I'm knowing if I go talk to her after singles night that I already have something to TEASE her about :)

I agree with deej, hair is important, not hard to maintain silky hair. And, make-up is key, layer it well :) Girls are more alike than they think, Yeah, sure some girls look good with doing nothing to their hair and face. But those GIRLS are supermodels and they are artificially made. So.... it's a lot more even playing field than you may think , ladies. Look good. Make-up (not OVER-doing it either) and kept hair, click, click. Instant Zing ! Above all, the Lord leads you, do everything you do with God leading. :)

Hey, Garden. That's a hard one to answer in simple black and white. I think a gentle spirit in a woman enhances and adds to her outward attractiveness. There's just a mystery about true femininity that doesn't need to be discovered. In any case, I think that 'the right one' really depends on whether you wait for God's choice or not. And you may get more attention when you just throw clothes together without makeup because something about a woman's natural beauty is more attractive to us guys than women who 'dress to kill'. But looking for guys to be looking for you probably isn't the wisest way to find 'the right one' anyway. Good luck!

Also, I like what Subaru said about girls who can have an intelligent conversation and it makes them attractive; something about them isn't saying, "Look at me!" And I'm with you, Baptized, waiting for my wife. I know she'll be gorgeous, but that's not as important as her godliness... Or wait... What? Lol. Kidding.

Allin, thanks. I think that's exactly what I wanted to hear. It's nice that guys DON'T need high maintenance girls, I think and I try to be the both pretty and smart. I want my future husband to think "Wow, she is AMAZING" wants to show me off and think I'm more than I think I am. But also I want to think that about my husband, he's gorgeous, but I can sit down and just have a meaningful conversation and continue to learn about each other. My cousin was married for 24 years, just divorced a year ago, and she was telling me that her and husband had never sat down and talk about life and dreams and things that mean the most. Because they had 2 kids already when they were married, added 2 more. They didn't have time to just talk and be a couple and my cousin was tired of that after so long.
She is remarried now, and her husband is amazing. She said she was really shocked when he asked her about her dreams and what she wanted for her grandkids, and where she saw the two of them 10-15 years from now, because her previous husband had no interest and never asked.
Anyways, that's my story. :)

Tobby, come back here! Lol. Timofree, missed your post. Funny!

Hey, Garden. It's a good thing that that's what you wanted to hear, not just needed to hear. There may still be hope out there! Well, the area of Christian relationships can be a little tricky. I think there are two kinds of guys that think about their fiancees what you said: "Wow, she is amazing!" Guys that think so initially, and guys that have found their soul mate. (Many guys think so initially.) I don't know how this works, really, since I never think about my future wife. (I just lied!) But I do know that when God brought Adam and Eve together, they were both pri-tty happy (lol) with each others' 'gorgeousity'... I make up new words all the time. So, anyway, it can be tricky, and waiting isn't all it's cracked up to be; but if you can... just... do it (lol), you may be lucky and meet 'the right one'. Usually, if you are waiting for God's best, He will make you into 'the right one' for your 'right one' (and vice versa) so you can both be absolutely perfect for each other. And it's still partly theory for me, but I'm pri-tty sure that there's nothing better than being with 'the right one' :)

Hey, Tobby, I just noticed that you have a Nigerian flag beside your name. I'm Nigerian too but have been living in the U.S. now for the past twenty-five years. Are you in Nigeria? Or are you even coming back to this thread...

Allow me to try and help. I am a 51 year old single man who has looked for a lifelong female companion, bestfriend with zero success and have come to the conclusion I have looked too hard and in the wrong places. Now I conclude by focusing on my relationship with god and trust god will provide the time and place and person for me. You stated when you go all out on yourself you receive little to no results yet when you are your plain self you receive much better results take that opprotunity and allow it to happen naturally a forming lasting relationship should happen naturally as well not with a tremendous amount of effort on either party. Good luck and god bless
I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but I just have to ask for myself.
What is it that good christian guys want in a lady/girl/woman/chica(etc, etc)?

I have dated some pretty awesome guys, but I haven't found the ONE. When I am out running errands or grocery shopping, knowing me I just dress to get it done and get home to do other stuff(levis, a tshirt, my hair pulled in a pony tail, no make up- pretty bad huh). And guys are always talking to me or flirting with me(at least I feel like they are flirting). Even when I am sick and I look my worst they still are awesome.
BUT when I get all dressed up in my nicest/cutest clothes(me being a cowgirl- rip free, stain free levis, nice westernish shirt, love my gypsy boots, my hair all curly and cute, flawless make up). I can't get a guy to talk to me. They'll just check me out and move on.

I'm friendly to people I even just pass, by smiling, saying hi, excuse me. Holding the door open, whatever, still nothing.
I don't do the bar scene, all of my friends are married with kids, so I don't have anyone to go out and go dancing with(besides I really don't want to meet a guy like that).
I love cooking, reading, gardening, I keep my house neat and clean. I'm happier that way.

Was I just born in the wrong decade? Maybe I should have been alive in the early 1900's or something so I could do all things I love and a guy would see that as something good in a wife.

Anyways, I just want to know what guys are REALLY looking for in a future spouse, maybe I can do things differently or something.

I myself just want a guy who is kind and loving with a little rebel streak running through him. Totally outdoorsy. I may not deer hunt, but I support it 100%(for some reason just because I don't hunt, it turns guys off). He has to love God and if there was a decision between something I wanted or something that would be better off with the way God wants it, he better dang well choose God's way. I'll get over it.
I love the way guys smell. Light cologne, a happy personality.
I'm not even asking them to give up their friends, or that favorite car they like to work on. That's who they are.

Anyways, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Someone please enlighten me.

Ok, i just came back because of you.. :D :D.. Great to see you on CC bro :)

I can't tell you what I like in a girl, but I can tell you that you don't have to change who you are, unless of course it's the Lord's will, and you're changing something bad. You have to take these guys truths, as his truth, even if they deliver it poorly, but that's not even what I was going to say, that just sort of came out afterwards...

I've been with a few different girls that I absolutely loved, and they all were different in some way, and a lot of them put up with a lot....

The last girlfriend that I was ever with I love a lot. I still love her, but she's with someone else. I can't say that I didn't have a part in all this though. I broke that cardinal rule...aw man, I love her through...let me tell you haha...now I'm not a 'good christian man'...but I can tell you some things that I loved about her....but mostly she was just great...now that I think about it it's hard to explain, she just has that thing...

I can tell you something bad I've liked about her ;) That girl could tear through you like some kind of black whirlwind let me tell you. You did something wrong she wouldn't be afraid to let you know. That girl even socked me in the eye with a lighter in her hand, haha.

but on the other hand, when I was going through a rough time she was right there with me. This one time a few years ago we were drinking, and a fight broke out in my yard...more of the three or four man brawl, and before the end of it she was right there fighting with me, haha..

man you have no idea how much I've loved that girl..

I've even seen the Lord in a number of times. The entire sky filled with the presence of the Lord, and love for her just raining down, I felt like I could just bath in it..I was jogging, and laughing..oh man...

She's the one that has to end all..I said that I'd never take another, so unless I lied, I have to do the right thing.

Wow, Soul, what a story. It resonates with me. It seems like when people look and don't wait, they either don't find or they find all the wrong ones (and some wrong ones even get married). I hope you get the desire of your heart by God's Grace.

Tobby, I got your message and hit you back. Good to be here. So far :p

<-- You haven't really been hit until you've been hit in the eye with an umbrella. Is this her by any chance?

I can't speak for all the guys but personally, I like an intelligent woman with a sweet demeanor, a kind heart and fun sense of humor.

First of all, all of us guys are different. Christian or not, the immature guys tend to be the ones who want a super model hunting buddy. But charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting.

All men want a beauty to save, but we need to save her accepting the fact that what's on the outside will change as the years progress. Changing yourself for someone else isn't going to make things easier for you. However, there are certain things a woman can do to encourage a man to pursue her. I'm not suggesting anything salacious. In fact, most of these things are built into your personality meaning you probably do them subconsciously. (If you still don't know what types of actions I'm talking about, I can send you a link to an article published by Focus on the Family regarding the subject.)

Personally, I don't believe in 'the one'. I believe that God will place certain men /women in our lives that we could potentially grow to love. However, it is our free will to choose which man/woman we want. (This of course, would cancel out the idea of 'love at first sight' as well). Of course, growing to love someone has to start somewhere (initial attraction), but many people don't get beyond that. The only way to grow to love someone is to spend time with him or her through thick and thin. Once in love, two people then need to ask the Holy Spirit to bless the union between the two- and they shall become one.

You seem like a very nice woman, in my opinion. I would love to meet a woman who enjoys having a clean and organized house. I'm also one for keeping a nice lawn and venison steaks in the freezer. :D My goal is to find a woman with a kind heart and a gentle spirit. A woman who is good with kids and who is intellectually stimulating when it comes to the volatile issues regarding theology and humanity.

My advice to you is to be pragmatic in your approach. Don't date random guys based on an emotional whim. Rather, busy yourself by pursuing your interests (maybe you like photography or traveling?). While your interests are being pursued, you will most likely meet a man (or men) who enjoy similar interests and it will give you a conversation starter. :)

Be the guy/girl you want to see in someone else. We can at least make a effort in our life to be the Godly person that we want to see in others. Why would God provide me with someone great if I am less then so?

Wow, lots of wisdom here. Alien, I like to keep meat in my freezer, fridge, pantry, basement... You get the point. Pursuing what you want is a good way to meet someone who you can potentially and truly be in love with.

xJoe, you really summarized the thing I would say. God looks to join people together who are on the same level so it can be 'an equal yoke', so for sure being the person you want in another is very main thing-- and it actually makes sense: mutuality and unselfish desire. Nice.

I completely agree. The way I see it, if both the male and the female are completely surrendered to God putting God first in all decisions, then if both are willing to completely surrender to one another thus putting the other person before themselves, it really doesn't matter how different those two people are things will work out because they both are working toward the same goal and neither will feel neglected or taken advantage of. Sure conflicts will arise however, conflicts will arise in any relationship in due time. I believe this to be a more mature approach to relationships.

However, if a person is looking for the perfect male or female who meets all of their personal wants and needs, not only is this a sign of immaturity, it's also a sign of self centeredness. The last thing this person needs is a relationship with another person, rather they should work on their relationship with the Lord that He might lead them into maturity.

Thanks everyone who made the last few posts. I would love to find a decent guy who wants venison in the freezer(yes, I know what venison is(2 of my sisters in law had never even heard of it). I think I'm like any girl- wants a guy like her daddy. My dad's yard is one of his priorities. Everyone always compliments his yard(greenest grass, best tomatoes, etc). Because of him, I love being outside, he loves deer hunting, I love the meat and support deer hunters 100%. Plus he has such a love for the Lord and his religion and because I see that in him(and my mom) I love the Lord and thank Him daily for everything He has given me.
You all seem like really good guys, good luck with your own personal relationships. :)
