So many jealous women.

Something I have noticed steadily about christian chat women. They seem to be incredibly unwelcoming to other women, catty, jealous and petty

Lets look at this scenario.
A girl come on CC, puts up a pretty pic and immediately she is told she is a fake. Especially if she won't go on cam.
A girl comes on CC goes on cam and it turns out she is really pretty, she gets talked about all the time, hit on by 50 year old guys and everyone in between.

Why is CC so hostile to a pretty girl? Why are the women of CC so hostile to other women?

There have been several girls lately who have been harrassed to the point of not showing up anymore on CC by girls who are less attractive constantly picking at them.

I'm not a great looking guy, and there are better looking guys on CC. But I am not trying to chase them off cause of my insecurities.

Why is this a common practice among the female CC population?

It seems like if you are unattractive you get no attention which I can understand and then if yo are attractive you get so much unwanted attention.

Why are chrsitian women still so hostile to each other like non christians?

Haven't actually noticed or heard of this happening myself! It's pretty sad and childish if it is though :/
 
Hard for a christian to be jealous of flesh surely, maybe there is more to it.

Never seen anything like that happen on here personally.

---don't beat yourself down, deej. And, how do you know you're not a great-looking guy. The Lord leads but the right girl will think you're the cat's pajamas, so to speak. And, TRUST me, I've seen some pretty gorgeous cats in pajamas :D

Anyway, fair question. I think I may tell a story of human nature for you and all the rest of my brothers and sisters in Christ and brothers in sisters on here not in Christ (I love you ALL).

ANYHOO...

This is the story of a scorpion and a water buffalo.

The scorpion is sitting on a rock on the side of a river bank and, in the water, is a water buffalo.

Scorpion: ' Hi, could you please swim over here, I need some help crossing to the other side.'
Buffalo: ' Oh, I can't do that. You would sting me and I would die.'
Scorpion: ' oh no, I wouldn't do that. If I stung you, you would drown and we both would drown.'
Buffalo: 'oh, ok, here I come.'

The water buffalo swims over to the bank and the scorpion crawls onto the top of the water buffalo's head.'

The two are now swimming to the other side of the riverbank.
Scorpion: What is it like being a water buffalo? You are so HUGE, and a jet-black kind of beautiful fur...
Buffalo: Why thank you, scorp, you are a pretty handsome number yourself.

Well, the two are swimming across the river, just talking, talking, talking..... One third of the way to go across this 1000-feet wide river, something....

Aaaaaarghhhhhh! You stung me , screams, in horrifying agony. Why, why, why, did you do th-th-th-st (poison quickly penetrating buffalo's brain)? Now we will drown and both die.

Scorpion: It's in my nature.

You bring up a valid point Djness, while we know it is not all women that take part in this deviant behaviour, there shouldn't be this kind of thing going on among any of them. I have known many very attractive females that have disappeared from CC in the past few months because of harassment from other women in the chatrooms and messages.

I have somewhat noticed this among the men, but it is in a totally different realm. It seems that guys compete on a totally different level when it comes to this kind of thing.

To both the gals and guys: let's all try to be more Christ-like, Christians get enough of a bad rep as it is....let's attempt turn that around and display the example that was set before us by our Lord!
 
I've noticed this too, djness. I wish it wasn't like that, but you are absolutely right. Even if an attractive lady goes out of her way to be kind/loving to the other ladies and tries to discourage remarks from guys about the way she looks, it still happens. Eventually, the lady rarely puts up a pic and NEVER goes on cam. Sadly, even in a christian forum, the minute an attractive lady turns on a cam she will begin to receive HIGHLY inappropriate PMs and guys will become VERY angry if they are ignored. It's not as bad as in non-christian forums, but it still happens. I really hate it. I stopped chatting completely in 2005 due to stuff like this. If I hadn't found CC, I probably wouldn't be online now either, so I hope this thread helps to discourage this.

Thank you for posting this and bringing this issue into the light. If a woman had posted it, it would have created problems for her.

I'm probably going to get into trouble with some of my gender, but I truly think women are worse than guys about this sort of thing. Guys do it from time to time, but they don't seem to be nearly as viscious about it and it blows over far more quickly when guys are involved.
 
DJ, the short answer is INSECURITY. In reality the same thing happens in real life, I just think it is more apparent in a chat room. People are by far more likely to do things in chat that they wouldn't do in real life because the consequences in real life typically would be more severe.
 
I've always wondered why it is that women seem to feel the need to compete with each other over a man? It's also amusing when some guys try to use it to their supposed advantage.

The last relationship I had was terrible--I would constantly try to break up with him but he'd always show up anyway. He would also try to tell me how many other women supposedly wanted to be with him... to which, I would always reply, "That's great!! Please go stalk one of them instead. Your ego is way more than I can stomach."

Maybe it's a sign of getting older but I try to look at it as, if you're interested, this is me, and I have nothing to hide. If you're not interested, guess it wasn't meant to be... God bless you in your search.
 
Maaaaaaan am i glad you brought this up.. i got's some thoughts on this.

Im just gonna be straight foward here.

Let's start with the regular women in the chat room, with the exception of a few, (ya'll know who you are ;) ) you wanna talk about catty and rude... wow, I'd have better luck talking to a door knob than most of those chicks. I'm bettin my money on it has to do with looks, and there afraid some ones gonna take away their internet boyfriend.

It's really all for attention and a lot of the girls in here want lots of attention, thats why they post a million pictures of themselves then claim "they were bored" Seriously, can you not think of anything else better to do than take 100 pictures of yourself when your bored??
So of course if some girl on here who wants attention from men, sees another girl on here getting most of the attention, what do you think is gonna happen... a big cat fight. It's truly ridiculous.

I can only think of a handful of women in here that will talk to me. I know there is one girl here that is actually jealous of me and said some really mean things about me to some people in here. When i had never been nothing but nice to her, and i still am. All because the guy she's dating really had a thing for me. Look i cant help it if your boyfriends wack.. Dont take it out on me.

I would also like to say to some of the girls in here, you need to check your men... cause some of them have and do message me flirtin away and sayin stuff they shouldn't be, especially when they got girlfriends.
Also ladies, a lot of men in here aren't even worth gettin catty over.

Friendships between women are so important, and its sad a lot of us dont see this.

I had a female friend who was new, and posted a face shot of herself, a pretty lady. She actually received a CCmail from someone she'd never even seen before telling her she needed to remove her picture 'and give the rest of us ladies a chance'. I believe she had a similar complaint from another woman later on. So yes, it does happen.
I also see a lot of women chasing after the same few guys, even though these guys enjoy the attention, but don't ever seem to have real care or concern for the women themselves. And by my observations of these men i hold no respect for them whatsoever, yet you will watch five women at once vying for their attention.
