I didn't read the book entirely, but there is a book written by an under-study of C.S. Lewis and he explain a lot of christian symbolism that was in the books. If you choose to try to dig down his work for whatever reason you may want to consider that maybe this is why so many people look down on Christianity. Do we really need to bury the people that are influential thinkers? I've heard people say Max Lucado is the anti-christ because he doesn't speak on the Iluminati. I've heard people say Lecrae worships the devil because he raps. I've heard people say bad things about John Lennox, Shawn Michaels, Francis Chan, Martin Luther and MLK Jr. and the list goes on. These are the people who are in front of the worlds eyes representing Jesus and all I hear is people drag them down and nitpick every little intention and every little misunderstanding. I'm just asking... Why?

Because the Bible warns us, yet so many hide under the " I am a Christian radar" and deceive others.

The bible also warns us to be wary only of our own spiritual doings. I believe the saying goes why warn someone of the sliver in their eye when there's a plank in yours. Not saying that you're having spiritual problems, That's just how the saying goes. The bible warns to avoid these things if you believe they are of evil. Wild accusations aren't very justified in this type of situation.

If that's the way you see it then why do you concern yourself with the works of C.S. Lewis? He also says his foundations are of God. They are wild accusations in the fact that you can't know his heart and you can't prove this point. You have put this in an effort to drag down a fellow christian because of this. If you didn't want people to concern themselves with you or what your saying, why did you post this?

When the Apostle Paul started to believe in Jesus people believed the same thing. That it was merely a creation of anything, but God. The plain and simple is that you have no right to say what is or is not of God. And you have no real evidence to say that he was trying to promote Paganism in his writing because that is merely a conclusion drawn by men. It seems as though you are promoting hate towards Lewis and his works however. I can't help, but think of Steven who told God to bless the very men who were killing him just before he died. He truly showed the love of Christ and I honestly don't believe this is befitting of being supported by God. I'm sorry I'm just trying to raise a point that you don't truly understand his heart and that is in God's hands not your own. All that you say does not really conclude anything, I never said I knew what was in C S Lewis heart.

I said only of what is in the Bible.

You are making a point of something, that is not a point, to which we are discussing.

He wrote these books for others to read.

Is that not the fruit of the man?

Not one of you could deny that paganism is in his books. Yet in the title of the book is the word "Witch"

If we want to write ANYTHING about Christ that is still fruit of man. Anything about bible (that is also written by man btw) is from man. And we want others to read. So I don't get what's the diffrence.

Correct me but your speaking sounds like only Bible out here is from God and everything else directly and indirectly related to it is from man and we should seek only what is from God so only book book ok is bible.

I have found nothing that don't support of telling about God direcly or indirectly.
For example we were asked to try everything and keep what is good.
Because all the word written is by man not every word cannot be good, not every word isn't even meant for us.
I understand the concern of deception wrapped into beautiful words, but some people like to turn this upside down. They want tell about God in this rotten world by wrapping their words in so called deception. Those who do that and read though like to keep in mind what is right and wrong, what is the good in what we read and weight all they read.

It is wrong, you can dress it up all day long.

Children do not have the understanding that you claim, makes it acceptable.

I have only tried to show you how deceiving things are..... Narnia is only one example.

I know you keep saying that you're just talking about the Bible and saying what the Bible says, but your comprehension and associative skills could use some brushing up. You're not catching flack from all of these Christians because we refuse to believe there is deception in the world. You're catching this flack because you're simply wrong and there are literally billions of things posing larger threats to children than the Chronicles of Narnia. Perspective, friend.

I believe that as christians we have the assigment to talk about what Jesus did for us.
So i think that if a book or a movie is used for that purpose its very important that it be clear and easy to understand.
But Narnia is not clear and it is not easy to understand for children and to grown ppl either. Maybe we ,as christians, relate that story with Jesus because its similar, but it doesnt fill any purpose to teach others or edify others, because its very complicated with all the magic and "symbols" that are used in that fable.

So, in my opinion, Narnia is only a bad copy of the greatest act for the human life that is Jesuschrist that only is causing disputes (like in this thread) as clearly 1 Timothy 1:4 says "nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith."

But i guess its a choice of each person to watch it or not or read the books or not, anyway i dont like fantastic movies, i prefer action and comedy movies :D
