How is a Christian supposed to answer this question

"If Heaven is perfect happiness, and Hell is the opposite, how can a mother be happy in heaven if her son is sent to hell? If we're changed THAT MUCH bny going into heaven mightn't we as well be dead?"

How could anyone witness someone they knew or love burning forever? The truth is that all will be saved as it is God's desire to wipe the tears from EVERY eye!

the new testament teaches about this. those who are led by the spirit to put to death the sins of the flesh and serve the blood of Christ are crucified with Christ. they become adopted children of God and co heirs with Christ. by having faith in Jesus, his work continues through us. its hard to explain and harder for people to accept. have faith that the Spirit is at work to save all of humanity that it can. there is no greater love than this, a person who will lay down there life for the love of another. it will continue as long as the blood is able to find those who would have faith and serve Christ.

Israel, it looks like you are saying that no one will be in hell. A loved one that never accepted christ will be in heaven with us? I maybe reading you wrong but that would mean jesus died in vain. Why shed his blood on cross for us if we will all end up in heaven anyway. There are different judgements. Believers who are saved will be judged according to their works on earth for rewards in heaven (bema judgement) then at the white throne judhement non believers will be judged to show them why they can't enter heaven. We will retain our soul with our spirit. Soul meaning memories of this earth. I've heard it said that we won't remember loved ones that didn't make it though. I think it was jesse duplantis dvd "encounters of the god kind" where I heard this. For more reference get the dvd. I'm no expert on this. Israel if I misread you, I'm sorry. If that's truly what you believe though, you might want to rethink the contradiction in what you believe and what the bible says. It is his desire that no one should perish but if no one did perish, what tears would there be to wipe away.

I believe that when we are in heaven the focus will be on God alone, so even though we may recognize loved ones in heaven or hell we will not have the same conection as we did on Earth.

I have difficulty understanding this objection. Why travel, if you're going to end up at the destination anyway? Why eat, if you're just going to end up full?

His death and resurrection were the means to accomplish these things. We may disagree to what extent his actions had an effect.

I'm sure Israel will answer you when he can, but until then, Yes, that is exactly what he is
saying, All is, and will be Saved.

What your saying is Christ shed blood on the cross is only sufficient for a few, because of
some strange idea of free will, which there is no such thing.
Were saying it was and is more than enough for All.

We beleive in Salvation beyond the Physical world of flesh, in fact the Sacrifice of Himself is
Enough to Save to the Uttermost.

The way most see it, is the devil or Adam has more power to cause sin and
Death to pass upon all men, But God through the Sacrifice of His Son isn't as Powerful
or Sufficient to save that same All. If one is lost for all eternity, then Adam won, and Christ
lost.

The way I see it, is according to scripture:
As in Adam all die, So also in Christ shall All be made Alive.
1Co 15:22 Notice it doesn't say All in Christ, but
In Christ All.
He is the Saviour of All men, especially to those who believe.
1Ti 4:10

Most comes from the Parable of Lazarus and the Rich man, and mens
imaginations, instead of Understanding from the Holy Spirit.
He was talking to and about the Religious Pharisees and Scibes of that
time and what was about to take place in Him and to them afterwards.

1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Ti 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

You guys say that hell doesn't exist, but why does the Bible talk about the lake of fire and the bottomless pit?

Selena,

Hell does exist, it's just not what most think it is.
The Lake of fire is Real, but it too is not what most think.

Please check out the words in the Greek, and study the word hell in
the old testament, and find out that David was delievered from hell,
and so was Jonah, and many more, what about in Daniel, and the three
hebrew boys that was thrown into the fire? They had not hurt, why?

I have posted a link on the Thread the purpose of the lake of fire
please read it and then judge for yourself, is hell and the fire really
what we have been taught.

If we don't remember people in Heaven, what's the use of having love for people on earth. I mean how can you just forget about people like that?

i had the same question before selena, and i think i haven't arrived to the full understanding of the answer. but for as long as you refer to GOD's word, you will begin to see things clearly. including the purpose of why there are people sent to be part of your life on earth and how change will take place when JESUS returns :)

Dear Selenah,

All these questions will be answered in time by Him.
The Love of God is somewhat different than the love we share as
humans.

It is far Greater, and Unconditional, this is Grace.
Without respect of persons.

Just enjoy your Salvation in Him.
And Ask Him, that is where all your answers that come
will be more meaningfull to you than from us.

Even though we are willing to help, we can not have you
experience Him, and that is where most of your answers will
be found, in experiencing Him everyday, and in everyway.

You have to understand heaven and hell. I think heaven is how we feel when we are obeying the Lord—our lives are a paradise. When we sin, life is torment. All we need to do to escape hell is stop sinning.

If God will remember sin no more, how will you? For you to "remember" your ma as such will mean that you will remember the good and the bad. Jesus said that those who aren't willing to leave it all behind is not fit for the kingdom because in Christ we are all brothers and sisters. On earth, who you knew as your mother died and by the flesh is known as your mom no more.

If you had 20 children and one of your sons killed and tortured 7 of his brothers.Would you alow him to be around his 12 other brothers,Or would you jail him and let the other 12 live without fear?

Christ died to save all but that don't mean all will accept him. To be saved you have to accept jesus as your savior. If you don't then your not going to heaven. If all went to heaven reguardless then whats the point of christianity, that is saying the bible ain't true. Jesus died to save muslims to. Are they going to heaven. Not if they don't accept jesus. And strange idea of free will? We all have the choice. If we choose jesus, we go to heaven. If not we choose hell. God don't force anyone to serve him. Not everyone will go to heaven.

Heaven is being in the presence of God. Hell is the absence of God.

How can a mother be happy in Heaven if her son is sent to hell? Because she values God's plan and His justice and righteousness and order and plan for the world over herself.

we are not changed that much by going to Heaven. We should be changed while alive so that our heart and minds seek God's will and His understanding and not our own.

If we pray and ask it of God He will save the son and the son will not be in hell but be born again and seeking God while alive. therefore the question would be rhetorical.

I would tell them this:

James 5:16
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

love you little sis :) hugs.

Psa 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Psa 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Psa 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Psa 139:9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Psa 139:10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

Psa 139:11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

Psa 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful(Revelation 21:3-5).

17For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind(Isaiah 65:17).

When a mother gets to heaven,or anybody else, they will not remember what happened on earth,so they cannot mourn over a loved one on earth that is lost,if they do not remember the former things.

They will be like the angels that God created that popped up one day, poof there they are,and did the angels think, how did I get here and where am I,or did they think that they always existed, but the angels know they were created.I wonder what their initial reaction was,but one thing they thought I feel good and wonderful.I do not think there is an initial reaction like how did I get here and where am I,but you will feel right at home and comfortable, like you always belonged there.

When we get to the New Jerusalem,it will be poof there we are,and we will not remember anything before that, but will only know things from that point onward, and will feel at home and comfortable like we always belonged there, and we will think I feel good and wonderful.

We will remember things concerning this earth until we get to the New Jerusalem.

The souls in heaven awaiting their brethren to join them, and all the saints that come back with Jesus when He fights the world, remember the former things.

During the millennial reign the saints remember the former things.

It is only when the saints get to the New Jerusalem that they do not remember the former things.

The only mourning a mother might do for a lost son is on this earth, prior to the New Jerusalem, for I do not know if they mourn a lost one in heaven prior to the millennial reign,or during the millennial reign, because they remember the former things,or if they have so much joy they do not mourn, but the souls under the altar in heaven ask the Lord to avenge them,so they do not like how the world behaves and deceives people, which their son would be a product of their deception and lies, for their son could of not been lost unless he believed the lies and deception of the world that go against the truth, that the saints want God to stop.

What if you had 12 children and 11 of them tortured The One and put him in a pit with no
water and left him to die. Do you think that the 11 would be set free to live without fear?

Do you think they would be forgiven by the One Brother that was left to die by their hands,
And what of God, would He forgive them?
