How is a Christian supposed to answer this question

"If Heaven is perfect happiness, and Hell is the opposite, how can a mother be happy in heaven if her son is sent to hell? If we're changed THAT MUCH bny going into heaven mightn't we as well be dead?"
There will be two eternal existances, one being the lake of fire, and the other with the Lord. It is
my opinion, from scriptures, a person's knowledge, of who a person is, will be based on the
person's "last" birth. The things Jesus said had very important meaning behind them.
God used His own creations to convey an understanding of spiritiual information, (I am the vine,
you are branches; I am the shepard, you are My sheep; etc..) Jesus' use of the phrase, "born
again", wasn't a concept He thought up in the spur of the moment. There is meaning there.
Jesus also said, "Who is My mother, broithers......those who do the will of God, are My mother,
brothers...." The life you started with is temporary. Eternity starts, for the believer, when you are
"born again". For the nonbeliever, imo, eternity starts when you are judged and cast into the lake
of fire.

For the believer, when he/she gets born again, you become a new creation, but you have to
finish the temp. existance in the old body. That old body still has relationships and obligations.
Families have to stay together. To forget who your wife or husband and kids are, when you got
born again, would cause a break down in the family, job, and community. When you die, all those
relationships and obligations come to an end. This can be a disheartening thought for believers,
who are looking to see family members, in the age to come. If they were saved, and you meet
them, in the age to come, you will know them from the 2nd birth (born again) relationship. Now,,
there is great hope here. If a believer had parents or children die, they were extremely close to,
and now miss, the relationship in the age to come will be 100 times better. There will be more
love and a greater closeness to the deceased family member, in the age to come, than it ever
was in the old body. Read Mark 10:29-30 to get some understanding of what kind of
family God will be giving the believer. Whenever a believer gives something up, or God takes
away, He always gives back or restores, to the believer better than what the believer had in the beginning. And family is part of that promise.

Now, you may ask, will we forget family members who were not saved? IMO, the believer will
know everyone who ever existed, in the age to come. The believer will be there when all the
non-believers get judged. Its the "born again" relationships that will be different. Grandpa John
Doe will probably be viewed one of two ways: 1) As John Doe, a sinner who refused Jesus and
now being judged, or 2) John Doe, a very close and loved brother in Christ Jesus.
I highly doubt any believer will say, "Hey, there goes grandpa into the lake of fire.." or "Hey,
Peter, John, meet my grandpa."

For the non-believer, one birth, his/her memory of family and people in other relationships, of this
age, will stay with them, imo, based on the parable told in Luke 16:19-31

GO TO THE DOCTOR!

God is not doing this to you, YOU are.

I love you Selenah, but why are you cutting yourself?

you need to learn other ways to cope.

you have me extremely worried. remember its only for a few more years.

You can make it. God loves you. You need to love yourself.

don't listen to the negative voices of despair. Remember God's promises and PRAY.

I'll be praying with you lil sis. hugs.
I don't know. I really really tried to do what God wants but it didn't work. I'm tired of repeating the same thing over and over and over. Idk if I'm supposed to do what my mom says to do. Idk what to believe about the Bible or God. I feel like God's punishing me. I sin and then I get sick and start throwing up and everything so then I tell God I'm sorry for what I did. That night some random lady starts pushing me around so I scrap my arm with a razor and give up on God. I repent and decide to follow God and then I mess up big time. I decide to forget about God and then I hurt ankle a couple of hours later. I'm tired of being close to God and then getting discouraged and walkiing away from God. I just want to live a normal life. I dont' know

Selenah, it not about everything going well with others or even ones self.
It is knowing that Jesus has overcome all these things already for you. :)
Because we cannot overcome anything on our own, we need Jesus to do this.
We look to Jesus so we may know and recieve His victory in us.
Scripture says, He who has begun a good work in you will bring it to compleation.
As my siggy says, it is in our weaknesses that God's power is made perfect.
Give your weaknesses to Jesus, He will fill and bring His perfect in it.

We praise you continuesly Lord Jesus, for all is to your glory!

God bless

selenah,I know that the bible is truth and that Gods Spirit will lead you into all truth.The bible tells us of a lake of fire as punishment for disobedience and rejection of Jesus Christ but it also talks alot about heaven.I do not know how but I do know that heaven is a place of eternal happiness.The question you ask is a good one and the answer you seek is in Gods word,go to the book and know the truth.Ask God to reveal the truth to you through His Spirit.The bible says,"if any lack wisdom let him ask".Ask God,not man,we are humna just like you so mistakes are a part of our every day lives.Hope this helps in some small way,God bless and keep you all,AMEN

How is a Christian supposed to answer this question

"If Heaven is perfect happiness, and Hell is the opposite, how can a mother be happy in heaven if her son is sent to hell? If we're changed THAT MUCH bny going into heaven mightn't we as well be dead?"
This is a great question. I think this sums up the Bible's answer:

1 John 3 1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

When we are in Heaven we are going to be transformed. Our earthly flesh, the final remnant of our formerly sinful selves, will be gone forever. We will no longer have a sin nature or inclination to sin. And in fact we will have a heavenly body, made by God. So in short, we will be changed. We are not going to have any sympathy for sin. We will of course feel bad for our loved ones, but the horrific, ugly and evil nature of sin will be appalling to us. How do I know this? Because that is how Jesus feels and we are going to receive a new body just as He did.

So I believe 100% that we will know our friends, famiilies and loved ones in Heaven. Which is why I think we'll be crying at first in Heaven (as people have cited). We completely retain our conscience, mind and memories. But we will no longer see the sin with the same lenient eye that we do today. We will no longer have any sin in us and all our natural urges will be towards holiness and moral perfection. Those who die in sin have aligned themselves with Satan and while we will feel pity for them, we will not want them in our presence because we will see how truly ugly humans with sin are especially after a lifetime of rejecting, blaspheming and denying Jesus Christ.

you should do what God wants you to do over what anyone else tells you to do.

there is a difference between submitting to another's authority and agreeing with their decisions.

The lack of control is unnerving until you realize that God has t under control and that you can trust Him.

You can't help what others do to you but God has given you the ability and the intelligence to know how to respond to their actions.

If you don't feel strong enough, pray and God will give you strength.

You turn your anger at others on yourself and its not healthy. Admit that you are angry. its ok to be angry and to pray and tell God about it. God knows your heart so you may be able to hide it from others and even yourself but God knows its there.

Admit it. If a voice says "you hate so and so and you want to do bad things to her"

Say "yes I do, but God wants me to be greater than that. God wants me to forgive and to love her despite the things she does to me. I will put my trust not in my own abilities but in GOD who will give me the strength to overcome. Jesus I need you, please deliver me"

or something like that.

whether the voices or internal or external doesn't matter. to get rid of them you need God and His Holy Spirit to transform your heart and mind.

I pray that God gives you peace, patience, love, kindness and self control.

Its not a sin to be angry but don't let the sun go down on your anger. Pray and allow God to heal you and show you what can be done either by you or by Him.

remember God is faithful even when we are not.

here's another song. love you little sis. hugs

So what happens to The Love of God, Not to mention the Love we are suppose to have for our neighbor?
What, it just disappears?

Paul said if we don't have Love we are nothing.
Jesus loved the sinner, forgave all, Laid His Life down for the sinner, healed all, and came to show us
The Father. What happens to compassion and the mercy and loving our enemies?
What happens after we make it to heaven does that just dissapear too?

God is Love. How can you possible say all that He commands of us here just goes away when
we're there?
What do you think the meat is that He talked about that endures for ever?

Psa 106:1 Hallelujah. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:4 To Him who alone doeth great wonders, for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:5 To Him that by understanding made the heavens, for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:6 To Him that spread forth the earth above the waters, for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:7 To Him that made great lights, for His mercy endureth for ever;
Psa 136:8 The sun to rule by day, for His mercy endureth for ever;
Psa 136:9 The moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:10 To Him that smote Egypt in their first-born, for His mercy endureth for ever;
Psa 136:11 And brought out Israel from among them, for His mercy endureth for ever;
Psa 136:12 With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:13 To Him who divided the Red Sea in sunder, for His mercy endureth for ever;
Psa 136:14 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it, for His mercy endureth for ever;
Psa 136:15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for His mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 136:16 To Him that led His people through the wilderness, for His mercy endureth for ever.

Love, Mercy, Compassion, This is WHO He is, NOT something He does.
God Changes NOT, The same yesterday as He is Today.

But why does God make us suffer. I think I just sprained my ankle a couple of hours ago. To make it worse I can't go to the doctor because I razored up my arm a couple of days ago. Why does God turn pain into more pain? Why does God let stuff like this happen
Razored up your arm? What does that mean?
