Praise GOD. THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS GIVEN me many many Interpretations of GENESIS chapter 1. The false prophets that teach you how to interpret GENESIS chapter1 have never told you that there are 17 Accounts of Creation in The Holy Bible. Christians typically contradict 16 of those Accounts and simply misinterpret the famous Account of Creation in GENESIS chatper 1. You can read all about it at:

From your post and your links, I see that you're here for the sole purpose of promoting evolution as Bible doctrine.

You've earned yourself a permanent ban on your first day at Christian Chat.

Bless you Robo for all you do to keep this site the way it should be.
If I may make a suggestion: Could you delete the posts from the banned members such as the person who started this thread? That way it won't detract from the spirituality of this site and also clear some space for more adaquate postings.

Thank you again,

Terry

The only thing science can prove is enviromental adaption. That is why you have people of diiferent height and build as well as skin - eye - hair color. That is why there are different breeds of dog although a dog is still a dog no matter how big or small. The same could be said for any other animal.

However, the one thing science can not prove is darwinism, which is the belief that one species over a long period of time can evolve into an entirely different species. Not ONLY have they yet to find one missing link between the millions of diiferent species that have existed on earth over time but genetically it is also impossible due to the fact that cells which have been damaged or radically altered become cancerous and quickly die. I believe this to be God's little insurance policy against man's tampering with DNA.

There's obviously something odd about the way this guy is presenting his material, but acknowledging evolution does not need to contradict Christian doctrine. And if it is true, it needs to be acknowledged. Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, and Dr. Ken Miller, professor of biology at Brown University, are both Christians and support the theory of evolution. Dr. Miller was, in fact, a key witness against Intelligent Design theory during the Dover, Pennsylvania teaching-creationism-in-schools trial a few years ago. I hope we're not censoring free thought and honest debate here.

Evolution doesn't fit with Genesis 1-3 or the rest of the Bible, and there's no need to try to make the Bible fit an unproven theory such as that. We welcome all who want to learn the Bible, but the guy that I banned was obviously here for the purpose of promoting evolution as Bible doctrine (and promoting a particular site that promotes this error). That is why I banned him.

Just to point out, from a purely public-service angle, in that I want people to understand what science is:

Theories never get proven, they only amass evidence that they're accurate models of the natural world. They may be disproven in part or whole, but never proven.

SO when you hear the word 'theory', do NOT think that it is called a theory because it is not good enough to graduate to a fact or a law - all theories, no matter how ridiculously well supported, remain theories forever.

You may be aware of this Robo, but I don't want people reading your post to get a false impression of how science works. ;)

All I have to say is:

Man's knowledge of "science" is quite fallible -- because man is quite fallible. And man is quite biased -- even so-called scientists. (Watch Ben Stein's documentary "Expelled" for excellent examples of this.) Many of them don't want to face up to the fact there is a God, who not only created us, but also will judge us. That's what it really boils down to. Explain away creation, then you explain away the Creator, and then you don't have to worry about how you live your life. But the Bible is clear that:

The creation is evidence of the Creator.......... and therefore man has no excuse (to not seek God). (Romans 1)

When you see the very intelligent design of this world/universe, of life, the human body, etc., you must know that there is an intelligent designer who designed it all. You have no excuse. Atheist "scientific" theories suppress the obvious truth so that people don't have to deal with their sin. In the exact words of Paul:

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

To sum it up: "the fool says in his heart 'There is no God'". (Psalm 53:1)

Your comments deflect from the main drive of my point:

I merely aimed to make sure that people know how science works, so that your statements (whether it's because you don't know how science works or that the statements were simply not clear enough to let others know how science works) may not mislead people.

You have offered me a lot of things that I would be keen to talk about, but I don't think that you want a state of affairs in which we end up arguing. There is one thing I will say purely because I cannot let it pass:

Anyone who watches 'expelled' should absorb the criticism of it also. It is patently clear that even a small amount of critical investigation is enough to cause the shakey arguments contained therein to crumble, and the movie has thankfully received a very full routing in the online world, maybe most amusingly on youtube.

Ben Stein has repeatedly shown in interviews that he has scant understanding of the subject matter he's discussing, revealing a lack of understanding of the science involved to such an extent that even I could take him to school. I suspect that it's popular with churches and lay-christian folk because it confirms what they want to hear, and they seem to be lapping it up by and large - but from people with a passable science education it's getting a much, much harder time.

N.B: evolution has never aimed to disprove that there is an ultimate supernatural creator of this reality - and many christians believe that it happened without conflict with their faith.

*from a lot of people with a passable science education it's getting a much, much harder time.

I didn't mean to suggest that anyone who didn't give it a hard time wasn't educated.

Okay please pardon my ignorance. I'm not very qualified to speak on these matters, so let me rephrase everything in my simple hillbilly talk.

It sho does seem like some folks here is sayin' that maybe man did come from monkey, and sayin' that this idear don't go against the Bible.

So all I gots to say is that I ain't eva gonna believe that man came from monkey, coz it don't jive with my KJV -- or even my NIV -- and it don't jive with my hillbilly common sense. That's all I gots to say.
