I have already proved that musical instruments are used for worship... Look back in this thread... It's found in Psalm 150... The electric guitar falls in the category of a stringed instrument. The tabret / timbrel falls into the category of percussion. The drum is in the category of percussion.

Yeah u can use a electric guitar n all that stuff I never said u can't read my first post it all depends how u use the instrument s any thing can be used for wrong reasons ur saying the Bible says u can use thse instruments. I never said u couldn't but u can use them for the wrong purpose. People use God n the Bible for wrong purposes and God is good n the Bible is good but some people use them for wrong purposes. Now I have nothing against these instruments I love the electric guitar but when u use the instruments in a screeching way n loud roaring way its not the same. Ur supposed to make it sound beautiful and peaceful but instead ur breaking strings on the guitar because of how rough ur using it n blowing out amps because of how loud it is.so ur telling me that making a guitar screech really loud n completely crashing on the drums n screaming on the microphone in a torture way is beautiful and peaceful?
The joy of music is subjective. We are all created in God's image with similar likes, dislikes, feelings, and emotions. We can't possibly know God's preferences for most things. Someone who says that God hates metal would have to be someone who interprets metal to be loud noise/aggressive themselves. When I was a teen I was diagnosed with ADD and still have it. Metal was the only thing that could level me out enough to do homework as I found more mellow music to be unnerving for some reason. Metal is defined by nothing more than a distorted guitar signal. To me this song is extremely peaceful and uplifting. Inspiring even.

Anyway, I doubt that theBibleisawsome is going to listen no matter what anyone says. Unless maybe God let's him know that metal isn't inherently evil.

i must admit that i've done worse. i was in the hardcore and metal scene for for over ten years. i used to listen to secular metal and hardcore. God convicted me of it so i sold all my cd's and started exploring christian heavy metal. before long there was a conflict in my spirit listening to christian metal even though the lyrics were Biblical. i now don't even listen to christian metal.
i think it has something to do with metal having pagan roots. with the likes of dio and iron maiden, if you play more modern metal you are walking in the footsteps of bands liike them. i mean, just go to your local record store and pick up a metal cd. more often then not it will have evil content in the artwork alone, and you won't even have to listen to it to know it's wrong. so is that something christian bands are suppose to emulate?
i remember even watching an add for a band. they showed a black metal band wearing corpse paint and the whole get-up and then it said, unblack metal. i laughed, that's like an oximoron.
i'm not saying i'll judge any christians on here who listen to christian metal, but for me i know it's a sin.
