While I agree something needs to be done I have my doubts about the charity who made the video. Invisible Children use certain techniques to bend the truth, here is an article that addresses some of the critiques, Kony 2012: what's the real story? | Politics | guardian.co.uk
I suggest that if Kony is using child soldiers then busting in with guns is not really the answer since to get to Kony there would be a loss of children's lives.

I'll adhere to the rules Jesus laid out: "Thou shalt not kill." Then I will encourage my government to follow Jesus' command. Then I will trust God to deal with evil as He promised us:
"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, said the Lord."
I do wonder why you would ask us to "change the rules?" How un-Christian is that suggestion?
It is too late to stop Kony or child soldiering in general without a loss of life. I suspect that child soldiering (not to mention slavery) will become more prevalent if prevailing geopolitical trends continue.
Stopping things like this will only really be possible if people in the democratic free world seek to elect those who promise to stop things like this. The trouble is economic concerns are at the forefront right now.

You guys do realize that the whole is kind of a hoax, right? Not to discredit the creator of the video, he has good intentions, but the main, and I do mean MAIN point of the video was to spread awareness for his organization Invisible Children, well that and get your money, and not so much to stop Kony.... who happens to already be dead, which if anyone bothered to do any research would have found out by now. Joseph Kony has been "inactive" for 5 years now. The Ugandan government doesn't even see him as a threat anymore, now why would that be? This is almost exactly the same situation as with Osama, except that now it's an African hiding somewhere in the jungle. Maybe if this video had been made, i don't know, 10 years ago, it would have actually had some value

The worst part about the Invisible Children organization is that they are supporting people who hold some of the same political goals that Kony did.

It wouldn't surprise me if Kony is already dead. Before Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, she claimed that Osama Bin Laden was dead, yet apparently the USA didn't get him until last year. Hmm...
