I HAVE A QUESTION,

CAN A PERSON GO INTO SATAN'S TEMPLE AND WORSHIP HIM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST; AND EXPECT GOD TO HONOR HIS WORSHIP?................ OR CAN A MAN TAKE AN ITEM DEDICATED TO THE DEVIL AND OFFER IT TO GOD IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.... EXPECTING GOD TO HONOR HIS GIFT?

THIS IS WHAT GOD SAY ABOUT THAT>>>>>>

Deuteronomy 13:14
Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you; ( FIND OUT WHERE YOUR TRADITION COME FROM, THEN ASK YOURSELF CAN YOU TRULY OFFER THEM TO GOD )

Deuteronomy 18:9
When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

Exodus 8:26
And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the ABOMINATION of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?

Deuteronomy 7:25
The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.

Deuteronomy 7:26
Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Matthew 15:3
But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Matthew 15:6.....................................................................,
Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF THE EASTER BUNNY?

Like the origin of Easter, the origin of the Easter Bunny has roots that go back to pre-Christian, Anglo-Saxon history. The holiday was originally a pagan celebration that worshipped the goddess Eastre. She was the goddess of fertility and springtime and her earthly symbol was the rabbit.

Thus the pre-Christian Anglo-Saxons worshipped the rabbit believing it to be Eastre's earthly incarnation.

When the Anglo-Saxons were converted to Christianity, the pagan holiday, which occurred around the same time as the Christian memorial of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, was combined with the Christian celebration and given the name Easter.

Originally, there were some very pagan practices that went along with the Easter celebration. Today, Easter is often commercialized, with all the focus on eggs, the Easter bunny, etc.

Because of this, many churches are starting to refer to it as Resurrection Day.

Do you realize that no matter what day you worship God there will always be a pagan attachment to that day, so either worship God and redeem the day or don't worship God that is up to you.

I pretty much agree with CanadaNZ..it doesn't matter what day you place a holiday on, or what you call it, there will probably be a pagan tie somewhere. I mean, even just in the calendar we use, there are pagan roots. Most of the months are based off of Romans gods and goddesses.

Honestly, I think the only holidays you could celebrate without a single pagan tie are the Jewish feast days. I personally am not convinced about these other holidays, and believe I can celebrate the days with personal significance. Just because I celebrate on a certain day doesn't mean I'm celebrating the pagan festivities. If someone's birthday happened to be the same day as, let's say Hilter, would you be celebrating Hitler by celebrating this other person's birthday?

Exodus 20:8-11
(8) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
(10) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
(11) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Leviticus 23:3
(3) Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
Deuteronomy 5:14
(14) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

Another thread whining about easter? *rolls eyes... these holiday posts get so old each holiday. Can't you people quit?

It amazes me how people can see with their eyes yet have no comprehension of what they are reading, yet make a commit about it. This thread is not about the traditions man make for them selves. it is about all the wicked, evil attachments they add to it and in the name of Jesus Christ they think it is ok.

if you want to make a day to celebrate the life, the birth, the death, or the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ....... more power to ya! but when you try to use the things that was set aside for devil worship in your traditions thinking because you cover them with the name of the Lord Jesus... you are doing ok......................................NO, Let the Word of God speak for itself.... if you do not see or hear what thus say the Lord...ASK HIM!! he will open your eyes as he did mine.

I have no problem with Easter, if it is a celebration of our Lord..... but How in the world can you know that something is evil and say it is ok "" BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING IT""" I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT FLY WITH GOD ON JUDGEMENT DAY..... as the Lord have said, you will be a cursed thing as it is cursed.............. when you have to question if you are with the Lord or why is your walk not growing like others......... take a look at the ABOMINATIONS YOU HAVE, God will not except them, not from you or none of us.

SO PLEASE READ WHAT GOD SAY, AND WHAT YOU SAY IN DEFENCE TO MAN FOR WHAT YOU DO THAT IS AGAINST THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD......... TELL GOD THE SAME...haha, wow, I would love to hear that. hmmm, like, '' Oh God, chill out; everyone is doing this.

Read what God says? Good idea!

James 4:11-12
Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

What is truly disheartening, is those who call themselves christians fighting to defend a pagan practice and stamping Yeshua/Jesus on it, but when someone brings up YHVH's true way of keeping Resurrection Day and it's true name 'First Fruits' they run, and or say that's done away with, or that's only for the jews, or whatever lame excuse they come up with. That is what is TRULY sad in this whole situation. Fighting for something known to be evil, instead of fighting for the true celebration and the name YHVH gave it. What is wrong with that picture? EVERYTHING!!!!

I don't think this verse is meant for this thread.

The truth is never evil, it is love.

If the truth is evil then you love not the truth.

I'm sorry if you find it annoying, but Cookie is 100 percent correct. Truth is truth. My Jesus did not take those nails for me to turn his day into a pagan ritual. To me, this is just like slapping Christ in the face. The Bible is quite clear on this issue. Many pastors know it is wrong, but they would rather keep the congregation happy than to please God.

Amen!!! this is right on point

we should take no part in the bunny celebration. our god is a jealous god. jesus eats little bunnies and makes bbq of santa's riegndeer. what jesus calls clean do not call unclean. jesus ate rudoff. come and dine. that's what jesus eats for his birthday and resurrection. haha

And another thing....Everybody thinks they have go go out and buy brand new outfits just because it is ''easter''.....for no other reason that it is tradition.....why not sow that money into the church...or buy food for your family...it's ridiculous

If someone relates certain things to paganism and other unglodly ways then it is wrong. I will agree on that, but I do not see where myself or others have neglected to recognized the truth about the resurrection.

Of course you know where I stand on this. My faith is strong, and I will have to answer go God for my actions, not man.

I grew up in a very strict household. My father passed away when I was 11, but my mother tried to shelter my sister and I from many things. She never taught us how to live in the world without being part of it, when we became adults it was a hard adjustment.
Because of this reason I study hard about things. Which has made my faith srtonger. I know right fom wrong, but I also know that looking to others for guidance is not what I should do. I should look towards God. If certain ways or actions could cause me to fall awy then I stay away from them.

I also by no means neglect the resurrection of Jesus or his birth. Participating in certain traditions that may surround those holidays does not affect my faith in God either. I know the difference. My child knows the difference, and if it came to the point to where I was idolizing false Gods then I would stop.

Beth, I totally understand what you're saying. But the point I feel you're missing is YHVH's word says that we are NOT to have anything to do with these things, period. It has nothing to do with losing our faith, it has to do with being obedient to what our Father tells us to do and not to do. He also said do NOT come unto me by these means, from the gentile nations. My question is, is why when truth is shown is it so hard for someone to accept it? Because they don't want to let go of their traditions, and traditions is what has caused so many problems in the body of Messiah.
Over all, bunnies, egg hunts, etc. are not bad, but what they've been connected to and used for on a specific day which happens to be Resurrection Day which biblically is First Fruits, IS wrong. Forget about any pagan connection to easter, just the fact that bunnies, eggs and the like has NOTHING to do with Yeshua's resurrection is wrong for us to put focus on that when it should be wholly 100% on Yeshua and what that day means, not to mention that YHVH commanded First Fruits to be kept forever. The church doesn't even recognize the true feast.
And christians would rather spend more time defending their actions instead of defending His Word.

The bunnies and eggs are NOTHING to do with the resurrection of Christ. I agree. I also do not relate it to those things.

I think we are beginning to get on the same page here. Yes, I did the whole egg hunt Easter basket thing, but at the same time my son knows there is NOTHING about the Easter bunny that is related to Christ. Like he said.... its kinda stupid..lol.

Just so you know... How I spent Easter Sunday... My bro in law and his kids came over. I cooked Sunday dinner. We also spent time with the kids for them to remember what is special about this particular holiday. Not egg hunts, but Jesus.

As a matter of fact the egg hunt happened Saturday. We partied Saturday too. Candy, pizza, cake, egg hunts, games.... It was also my birthday, but Sunday was set aside as it is every week as the Lords day.

The sunday dinner you made, it wasn't a big pork ham was it? LOL ;)

Upon careful consideration, I pondered how Yeshua would have taught against anything not related to the true worship of El-Olam.

1. You know the commandments... Thou shalt worship YHVH with all your heart, mind and strength, and only him thou shalt serve.
2. You shall love all men as you love yourself.
3. On these two hang all the prophets and the law.

You can not mix the tradition of men and fulfill the commandments in obedience to God. But alas! some would even dare to say... we are saved by grace, for it is not of works lest any man should boast.

But the reply of God is this... If you be willing and obedient then you shall eat the good of the land, and you shall be the head and not the tail. Obedience will crown you with all manner of blessing, but if you learn the way of the heathen to do and practice their ways, then YHVH will curse your basket and store (Business) and the fruit of your body will be cursed and all manner of sickness will come upon you.
IF my people who are called by my NAME shall humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways... Then will I hear from heaven.

I call all to repent from their traditions that make the word of YHVH of no effect, but many of you will insist on keeping your tradition even to the destruction of your souls, Repent for every mountain and hill that exalts itself against El-Shaddai, shall be brought low and shame will cover your face.
