Can someone lose their salvation?

In my opinion, this scripture says it all. In fact, I think it's straight across the board. Only those that endure to the end will be saved. Only through Christ can one endure to the end to begin with, obviously, but our Lord still made a distinction there, so enduring to the end is obviously the deciphering point.

Sometimes you are stronger than you think. I learned that recently. As far as being physically strong... well, I am 5'11 and built. I am not fat by and means but no anorexic either. I am NOT lying when people say that I intimidate them by my size(being tall), Yet, I have a 10 year old son that can pin me down in a wrestling match.

I may look mean but I not.

Romans 8:
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Who needs physical or mental strength when we have this??

My friend, read the context of the passage, He is speaking of end times things, when there is great tribulation, we are hated and hunted down like rats. He who endures to the end will be saved (physically)

Eternal life is not context of the passage, we can't pick parts of a passage and form our beliefe system. we have to take it in context.

It's not just Satan. It's me. People always blame satan for everything, but aren't we the ones who made the decisions? I did deny God. People who are saved are supposed to know that they are saved.

I like to hear what you have to say about that OT verse and how it applies to the believer of the NT church. I would like to hear how you relate it to Christ and the cross under the new covenant of grace. If you are a student of the word, let's hear it. This should be very interesting. I am going to call some of my pastor friends that have been in the ministry for over 30 years and have built churched in Europe, Asia and in many parts of African and South America and get there feed back on this and some of the things that you and others have posted.

I would like to have their wisdom on these matters of doctrine and the practical application of God's word under grace. None of them believe as you do and have the fruit to prove that God is with them and continually adding to their ministry. Not only are they soul winners but they make disciples, lay tyheir life down for others and edify the members of Christ's body. They hate sin and love righteousness but know how to deal with sin in believer's life because they were right there in their place and they know that without grace they would fail just like the next person. But go right ahead and explain yourself on this verse. Let's see who will be doing the trembling.

Hey bud, if we have to perfect our salvation by our works, why does paul say we are foolish if we claim to be saved by the spirit, by perfected by works.

escaping corruption? It means I have escaped the horrible pains and sufferings which sin causes in my life here on earth. and instead have replaced them with the blessings of God, which he wants to give me.

Revelation 3:16
(16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

This verse is talking about people within church

Nah, it don't make me tremble. I am not under law. I am under grace, Christ fulfilled the law in me. If I was still under law I would have to sacrifice animals for my sin.

don't you know the law is a tutor to lead us to christ.

Can a man in sin live a life God created us to live, with the abundant joy that comes with a relationship with God? No. He is dead. A christian who does not grow in Christ and remains a babe, does not get to taste the many beautiful riches Christ wants to give us, and that is sad. His life is not full and abundant, Athough it is better than the sinner lost in sin.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

If you still live in fear. You have not received the spirit at all. Your still a slave to the law, and thus bound to fulfill the law on your own accord. Which, by the way, you have already failed, the first time you sinned. So you keep hoping you can do the impossible. I will cry out to my abba Father when I struggle

Better yet Selina. Do you understand you have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and like every man who has ever lived are dead to God, and unable to have a relationship with him? Do you understand you can never be good enough, or do enough works, religious or otherwise to make up for your sin, and that the penalty of sin is spiritual death. And do you believe Christ took the form of man, Took your penalty on the cross, and is offering you forgiveness of all sin, and a new life in him?

This is not talking about eternity (salvation) death, it is talking about your earthly death and it in no way more confirms that the righteous will die and go to damnation forevermore than the moon is made of cheese.

By the grace of God, I sure hope not, I would like to let it lie, for the babes of Christ to be able to just understand that it is so SIMPLE to accept Christ and their sins are gone FOREVERMORE !

Believe in grace. You repented, you got MERCY ! Now, believe in His grace for you. If He loves the animals and cares for them, how much more so does He love you???

Have faith, Tommy, in the everlasting, everloving Father who created you and me for a purpose of following Him, through all the ups and downs of life to salvation.

Be contrite, TREMBLE at his word, but not to guilt you , just convict YOU of your sin. Quit thinking you can't get rid of it , you can , by His grace, again and again and again.

Believe AND receive Him !! Simple .Do it. Take nothing from that and add nothing to it. Just take 'it.' That is from Him, for you to have (a gift) forevermore, and, of course, as you go along the salvation process path, your faith will quicken and you will become more and more, and, more, did I say 'more?' steadfast in your faith, He will complete the good work He began in you, whateve 'it' is and despite the FACT you are going to be an unfinished work all the way to your DEATH ! We all are that way, it is because of our SIN, and, OUR IMPERFECTION, our nature!

You just ignored my question again.

You have referred to this verse.

Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Paul is addressing the Galatians who were being drawn into bondage to the law. They were being lured into seeking their righteousness by external means, circumcision in their case.

This is why Paul would write...

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

We are not justified by keeping a set of rules because that is the outside of the cup. True righteousness is from within, it is a matter of the heart. That is why Paul says is it is not circumcision or uncircumcision but FAITH WHICH WORKS BY LOVE.

A faith that works by love fulfills the righteousness of the law.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

This is exactly what Jesus taught.

Mat_23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Paul warned the Philippians of the same error.

Php 3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
Php 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Heart purity is what matters, not external works of the law.

Yet you ignore this completely and construct a simplistic strawman and try and apply the warnings of Paul to me. I am not telling anyone that they have to go and get circumcised or do any other ritual to be justified. I am simply contending for the truth that you have to forsake your sin and obey God.

You got out of that one real easy. Would you like to explain the verse you just spewed out. Let's hear it from you to. You like to quote alot of verses but do you study them and know what they mean comparing spiritual with spiritual, here a little and there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept and how they apply and to whom they apply and the setting and isagogics behind these passages. How much effort and tiresome study do you put behind these quotes of yours? All is pretty plain, hey?

Do you know that the pastor-teacher raised up of God for the church that has been called to preach and teach the word studies between 6-8 hrs (minimum) for every message he is called to preach, just so that he gets it right and has the word dwelling richly in his heart to be led by the Spirit. Then on top of that he is applying the word and doctrine he teaches every day in the details of Gods plan, counseling, soul winning, praying, edifying others, laying his life down for the brethren, and counting his own life and all things but dung that he might win Christ. Try doing that day in and day out, 365 days a years, for 30-35 years, preaching every single day, spending and being spent for the sake of the gospel. If that is your life then tell us what Christ meant when He was revealing that to John. Let's hear it.
