Seriously, Nods, guys, these days, are shore, I mean, sure tempted by TV (home design shows) to have their own man cave. Even in houses guy buys , they want their 'man cave' area, even if they are married.
This current social Web environment, I think, influences all (guys and gals) to get lost for days at a time in the weaved web of internet. This is not a terrible thing, alone time in life is important, but not too much, for certain IF you are in a relationship. A good God following guy will not have a problem with this.
Ok, Nods, I'll be back in a few days. if anyone asks, tell them, I've gone fishing. Tell my girl too if you could when you see her next
Maybe they've heard the phrase "I feel smothered" before, and they decide to try taking off for a few days. Women seem to read subtle cues better than men, so maybe the guy is afraid of being "smothering", as he can't read the signs.

Yes, that's fine to do, and, you don't have to tell the girl, 'you're smothering me,' but...
...he should, without a doubt, let her know he's gone surfing, so to speak, or, where I live it's gone fishing, or, gone hunting, or, gone, well, ok you get the picture. He should, in real words, let her know he just needs a few days to think . The girl should ALWAYS be in the loop, even be honest if you are 'testing the waters,' so to speak.
Honesty trumps just about anything of the social skill nature, becuzzz IF you're honest with each other the 'trust' word is a given and communication just flows naturally from honesty. The Lord will give you strength and lead you in this area, have faith notmydudes, the Lord will.see you through. Honest.
Of course the other option is that he's an immature jerk that only wants you around when it's convenient for him. Just another player that likes having a woman on a string when he wants her without any concern at all for her.
