I also have my personal biases on this (my best friend/fraternity brother is gay... and I'm going to be the best man at his wedding next summer haha) but from a strictly legal standpoint, it is what's right for America. Religious or not, if you live in America, you must abide by the law of quality in this nation. The Constitution guarantees equal protection under the 14th Amendment. And DOMA also violates the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the Constitution. This is the law that forces Pennsylvania to accept marriages from, say, Utah. or any other state. While DOMA is in affect, gay couples legally married in Iowa will have their legally binding marriages rejected in Texas or Florida. This is a clear violation of the Constitution and the Supreme Court needs to stand up and knock this down forever.
