I think we should end this conversation Tsalagi. I think only the Holy Spirit can revel to you that homosexuality is a sin. We have given you all the scriptures in the bible that states it is a sin. We are clearly not going to convince you in a biblical debate. I could tell you the reasons why it is not of God. But I sense the more we say, the harder your heart gets. So I leave it up to God to give you a revelation. But when He comes, and you do feel convicted, don't try to resist because, Isaiah 55:6: “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” Don't allow pride to get between you and a revelation from God.

When you find out you are mistaken, don't resist the truth that only God can give because if you do, you reject His word and that is when the devil will come and deceive you more. Only advising you, as I have been there myself and have mist opportunities because I didn't want to believe what God was telling me. Whatever you do, don't get offended because that is of the enemy, we are only trying to help. One last point, your feelings are temporary, they change as easily as the wind blows. You can only base what the bible is telling you, and on faith but not what your feelings are telling you. Because you could be angry with God but in that anger you praise God anyway because He deserves praise in our anger, hurt, joy, happiness, loss etc. I'm not saying you are angry with God by the way, just giving an analogy. For me, the debate is closed with you now because it I don't just want to argue for argue say, I will allow God to do the rest. May God bless you in all that you do.

homosexual has not always been included in 1 Corinthians 6, I believe The 1946 Revised Standard Version was the first to use the word homosexual.

A Sodomite was simply an inhabitant of Sodom in biblical times they did not have the word sodomy or homosexual.

Oh sweety, you cant change the meaning of God's word to suit yourself. He has spoken. But Gazza is right. Only the Holy Spirit can convince you otherwise.

I remember hearing the story of a homosexual guy who was saved years ago in Grace Community Church here in California. I don't go to that church, nor it's my intention to advertise churches but that testimony was inspiring so I'm gonna share it .
He was dying from AIDS and he was a gay activist, actively participating in pro-gay walks ,gay conferences and all that jazz. He had only a few months left of life and he felt like he needed God somehow. He asked what he could do about it and a friend of his (who was gay) interestingly said " go to this church, they said it's good". So he went , and the pastor mentioned a psalm that said " Lord lead me in a straight path " and I imagine that the word "straight" had a special meaning for him. After listening to the sermon he accepted Christ. He spent the last months of his life preaching Christ in homosexual circles, and talking about he got saved and how he had been set free from sin ,and then he went to be with the Lord.

Saying that Jesus can't set you free from sin not only offends Jesus and the cross, but you are also calling men and women like this man liars. I'm sure this is not the only testimony there is, and I can't imagine how hard it is for those struggling with this to be set free, especially when the world (and some Christians) are telling them that they have nothing to repent from. Disbelief is the problem...just like any other sin. If people stopped denying the work Jesus did on the cross, we could help our brothers and sisters better. Homosexuality is not the ultimate sin, but it is a sin . Denying it won't make it go away. Caling us homophobics won't make it go away. Just like any other sin, the only way is to battle it, it may not be easy but the Lord is faithful.

He didn't turn straight. He thought he was dying and that he would go to Heaven if he acted straight.

Be careful what you are saying. Can you truly say that he was not set free. Are you saying that you know what only God knows. For you own sake, DO NOT DENY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRITS HEALING POWER. Do not test the Lord your God. You are treading on a dangerous path.

Oh so all these testimonies are lies? gotcha! Let me write it down "only pro-homosexuals have the right to say what's true conversion and what is not since they can see through the hearts of people". Silly me...let me go tell all the adulterers who have repented to go back to their sin too because they're lying to themselves..

A gay person can't turn straight any more than an Egyptian person can turn Korean.

You know this how? Are you gay? Are you saying God, who is ALL powerful, ALL knowing and omnipresent can not change the person He knows everything about? Be careful.

I metal pole can be bent in any shape if it is at a high enough temperature. So it is when the Holy Spirit heats up the heart of man.

Since when do our sexual desires define who we are? I've heard this argument before, and it's the argument gays use all the time. ''If we reject our homosexual instincts we are denying who we are''. Really? So if I reject my sexual insticts, I deny who am I? So if I feel curious and want to kiss a woman, I should do it? And if I'm married and I feel lust towards another man, I should just do it to be true to myself?

According to the Word, we are all adulterers, murderers and liars at heart. But the gospel is not about what our instincts say we are, it's about what God says we are. Saying that our sexual desires define us make us no more than animals.

I'm not gay (I'm pansexual or omnisexual, think bisexual with disregard for gender identity and biological sex) but I can say I've been this way since I was very young and no amount of praying or reading the bible changed me. God knows me and He knows I've been this way since the beginning

I'm heartbroken that God has to see this kind of rebellion everyday. But His Spirit will not always strive with man :(

Prove to me that you are born gay? I no many Christians that struggle with gay feelings and that ALL say it is has something to do with there childhood. God creates everyone in their mothers womb, He would not make you gay as it goes against His word, and God honers His word above His name. It says that Jesus is the name above all names, So His word must be pretty powerful.

Also if someone IS (not fact) born gay, do you not think God could not heal them. He is the God that heals.
FYI you have horrible grammar and spelling in this bit. Nothing to do with the actual discussion, just sayin

Is that not the reason why Jesus dies on the cross for our sins though, not just to save us, but to change us, mould us into becoming more like Jesus? "its no longer me who lives, but Christ who lives in me".

I will forgive you for that as you have just insulted me. First off, it does add to the discussion, as I was responding to the guy saying at the end of his post he said Anger God more than someone being born gay. Secondly, I have struggled with my education for all my life. I try and try and try to improve my English and I and much better than I used to be. So yes, it may not have the best grammar or ever word spelt correctly, but I always say what is on my heart and what I feel led to say.

Hey Gazza, don't worry about it, its popular practice when the truth irritates; its called deflecting. To beside, while necessary for the world we live in, good English does not save one's soul: But disobedience can certainly destroy it.

Thank you :) I know I should not worry what people think but that is quite a raw subject for me, my education. But yeah, we are salt and light to the world. Salt stings and light shows. So yes people are bound to get upset when they are trying to resist the truth.
But meh, I'm done with this thread. It is only causing arguments and insults. Iron sharpens iron and all that but not when it is just arguing for argue sake. God bless everyone.
