When it all comes down to numbers, yes both men and women in that age group (younger than 25)are more prone to get into accidents, but men are considerably more likely. Sure both genders routinely engage in activities that can distract their attention from the road, but young men are FAR more likely to take risks that women wouldn't such as speed contests, trying to beat the red light, etc. to show off. When I think back to when I was that young, I'm surprised that I didn't get into a major accident because of some of the outrageous risks both my friends and I took.

At least for my crowd, most of us did our stupid stuff off road. :D

From age 16 to 21, I drove fast, high school and college days, and, I liked driving so much that when I got out of school, after I couldn't find a real jobin corporate America I went to zDominos pizza. I learned quickly that the faster I drove the more 'runs,' that is, pizza tag slips I could deliver.

Good thing I was such a crazy fast driver age 16 to 21, or I wouldn'T have been as quick.delivering of pizzas and time definitely mattered. Truth be told, I.drove fast until age 25.

A. in looking back at my last post, I see I need to only type on the computer, not the stupid phone. Totally messes up what I said.

B.GRA, I was being partly serious but at the same time, trying not to be too serious. At one o'clock in the morning, I'm not very good at balancing this.

Vkat, you weren't texting while driving, were you :D

MEEE TOOOO!!!

I drove fast until I turned 25.

I still am not allowed to drive in the state of Georgia, or at least not get pulled over.

I had 9 traffic violations in a 2 year period. 6 speeding tickets, 1 road racing, 1 exhibition of acceleration and 1 running a red light.

I was dumb and thought I was invincible. When my car insurance became 362 dollars a month, I slowed down.

All the Radar detectors and Police scanners in the Universe don't mean anything if the law itself means nothing.

Goodness, Mr. Green. Why would you ever think that. Although, I can understand the lure of wanting to answer the phone or check your messages when you hear the phone go off. That's why a lot of times I keep mine on silent while driving. Makes it so much easier.

[B]Yes, liam, CAN relate ! Was me, too, a lot of tickets gained me by a variety of ways, culminating in an accident that totaled my car at age 25. But that was a good accident , as, the way it happened was shock and awe. Driving down road, I looked at the GREEN light 40-50 yards ahead of me and, for some reason, I glanced over left to a pay phone. Then, I looked back at road and LIGHT WAS RED AND A CAR WAS STOPPED AT LIGHT AND I WAS NOW 15 feet from car and I was going 40 mph!!!!!
I was a very good defensive driver, still am, from 25 to 43 age only one little-fender bender, but, YES, I was so SURPRISED at reality of situation that I just slammed on my breaks and hit car going about 30 mph and yes, injuies to myself (whiplash, even though I hit their bumper!) and them too and no insurance at all. So, it was a mess.
But.....

God truly, supernaturally used that horrible experience to slow down my fastlane lifestyle and choose Him, too, as minutes before crash, I started thinking of my making good money would now be translating to getting a wife, house with white picket fence, etc. cool material things, and, I forgot one thing in all that life-planning thinking at my ripe age of 25.

God .

After that time, I really just worked majorly hard like never before to pay for my accident . The whole next year I worked and played over the stunning reality of that whole tragedy, and, I was, knowing my not including God in my 'life-planning' resulted in SEVERE consequences.

The way the thing happened--I driving being 40 yards from light, looking away a second, at most, and, looking back, to a scene of red light and car stopped at light 15 feet from me--truly is STILL indescribable.

I NEVER have done anything of that nature before, or,, after. Just blows my mind that, if I did 'check out' for 3-4 seconds, and, no, I remember being checked in The whole time, then how could I drive in a straight line those 20-30 yards that seemingly passed in ONE SECOND if checked out???. So, there is just, in my mind, no doubt God intervened so I would lose a part of MY LIFE that would have eventually, ultimately, eternally maybe, destroyed me, to GAIN IT :)

Something I forgot to ask about. This is weird to me:

Guy #1 will kid around, flirt, be extremely attentive, etc. You begin to have feelings for him and discover that he just wants to be friends. You shrug it off and think. OK. No big deal. Lesson learned.

Guy #2 comes along, teases/flirts/is extremely attentive in the same ways, so you take for granted that he just wants to be friends, but then he gets mad at you and says you rejected him.

What’s up with that?????!!!?????

Livi, I think men should come with meters that light up when they talk to you, like this :D :

Interested-----------------------------------------Just want to be friends ------------------------------------Go away. You annoy me.

Is it your fault that he didn't man up and make his intention clear?

It has everything to do with reciprocation.

If I don't know if I like you or not but you seem nice. I'm going to be nice to you. I'll probably bring you coffee, show you attention, and hang out with you. You might say thank you but if I continued to do this and the only response I received was thank you. I will happen less often and we will just be friends.

Like if I bring her coffee and flowers and she not only flirts with me but everyone else too. I'm not going to ask her out. Body Language has much to do with this too. Its the difference between being a "nice guy" and being "special"

BUT, if you (she) brings me coffee and/or makes me a sandwich and comes into my world to hang out with me. This will only escalate things. We will become an "item" and date and do loads of stuff together.

So in a sense its like playing tennis. If I serve a couple of balls into her side of the net, she might feel smitten and flattered but, if she never hits any back. Our match will not move forward.

Because I've been both guys in your scenario. Technically speaking you might have rejected them both but, the first one is okay with it and the second one probably took it personally.

as a side note. I find an argument to be an amazing form of flirtation. Because it shows mutual respect, intelligence, and civility. And not everyone takes it that way, so I can sometimes feel really good about someone, when at the same time, they hate everything about me. :D
