I can't say anything about your first statement...I don't tail people in the right lane...

Agreed!

And I agree with lightning, it is drafting and you're gas mileage does go up. :D

On a side note I have noticed that men in general seem to pay more attention when they drive. Whenever I drive with my mom or sister it freaks me out...

Whenever my brother drove it scared me nearly to death. Its funny how it's the men who are mire likely to get into wrecks, especially college age. Although, by the time they are in their 60's, I think its the same rate for both genders.

Since women drive about 1/4 as much as men, and there are barely twice as many serious accidents for men, clearly women are worse. It's all in the numbers.

Are you sure about that? Every place I have ever lived, women drive just as much as men, if not more, the men still had more accidents. Part of that is because men do have a tendency to bs slightly more aggressive drivers.

But if you really want to argue about it, go call the insurance agents and argue with them.

Hmmm...so why is car insurance more expensive for unmarried guys under 25 than for females? :)

Yeah yeah. So I wasn't actually arguing. But on a related note...

In my experience more women than men are willing to drive drunk. Is this atypical?

I've arrested just as many female drunk drivers as I have males and I can tell you this, the females are far more violent and obnoxious than the guys.

You need to do a better job of making up statistics;)

According to a USDOT study dated 2011, although men do drive more miles on average, it's a pretty minimal difference. I'm sure if you were to figure that a huge majority of jobs that involve driving are held by men (over the road trucking, local delivery, law enforcement, etc.) and account for this that it would be found that most men and women drive similar annual mileage.

I was going to mention the 'women drivers' words, but refrained. Oh, wait, I just said it :D

Well, you know what they say, you can't take back what you say to someone but you can apologize.

And, no, I'm not apologizing, read what oncefell said to.see why :D

Oh, now, now, miladies, you got it all over we guys in the listening and coming to agreement thing.
Think.of where this country would be today with MOSTLY women in Congress. See, miladies, YOU got the last bash, well, that is, IF the guys will agree that you do....

Uh-oh. Not so fast then, ladies, sigh, we guys can't even agree on truth.

WAIT, what about 'women drivers,' ?

* green sees 20 hands shoot up and one nay

OK, I guess we guys CAN be in agreement, afterall :D

I had a male Virginia State Trooper tell me the same thing, so that excludes your being female as the reason. I wonder why that is? I like to think of females as sweet and kind, but I think an insult or good kick from an inebriated girl would cure me of that, at least temporarily.

Oh, my badly. I thought oncefell was supporting guys better drivers than women, and, yeah, I guess that does kind of makes sense about under 25 guys insurance considerably higher than girls , but, I
still think that, although guys get in more serious accidents from aggressive speed driving, maybe, true, ladies get in more 'minor' accidents. Again, that is,a definite maybe, I haven't check stats with state comptroller or anything.

I am stereotyling but I think since ladies drive less than guys, because girls are shopping and guys are driving fast, mzybe that COULD attribute to more 'minor' accidents for women.

Remember, I am stereotyping. I just don't think girls drive as much as guys, especially 25 and unders, so that would mean an interesting stat, since more guy drivers on road and less ladies on road but ladies crashing more from less experience on road.

Why do you a vixens all name your cars, and, truck, if you're named vkat? :D

Is this an extension of your barbie doll days, or,, is there much deeper meaning :D

Unfortunately, substance abuse of any kind can turn people into someone they were never intended to be and are often humiliated by once they sober up.. :(

Which is the correct interpretation?:

"Hmmm...so why is car insurance more expensive for..."

~ "unmarried males under 25 than for all females, married and unmarried?"
~ "unmarried males under 25 than for unmarried females under 25?"
~ "unmarried males under 25 than for all unmarried females?"
~ "unmarried males under 25 than for all females under 25?"

:D
;)
:)

(I am assuming that it is the second one.)

There are many things to consider in the driving habits of male and female drivers --- here are a couple...

I see female drivers putting on makeup while driving down the road. I have never seen a male driver do this even once! :D

I see people 'texting' while driving -- the absolute majority of whom are young - and the absolute majority of those are female.

"Just sayin'..." :p ;) :)

And what about men shaving, making conference calls, working on the computer. And the list goes on and on and on. The truth is, we can spend years proclaiming the horrible deeds that the other sex does. And it doesn't make anyone a better driver. Yes teen girls have a tendency to text or talk on the cell, but so do teen males. Yes, there are women out there who put on makeup, but as I said earlier, there are men who shave while driving. Guess we all do stupid things while driving. However men do tend to her into more wrecks not because women are better drivers or because men tend to be more aggressive, but because menhave a harder tome multitasking. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Oh and about that whole aggressive thing with and being drunk, part of it I think is pent up energy and anger.

The first part of the post is intended to be a 'tease' for Jullianna.
The second part is intended to be a 'tease' for all of the women - as well as 'amusement' for all of the men.

None of it is intended to be "harsh" or "criticizing" -- just 'light-hearted' fun - please don't take it any other way... :)

A man who is shaving while driving is "just as guilty"...

Both men and women make mistakes behind the wheel.

When it all comes down to numbers, yes both men and women in that age group (younger than 25)are more prone to get into accidents, but men are considerably more likely. Sure both genders routinely engage in activities that can distract their attention from the road, but young men are FAR more likely to take risks that women wouldn't such as speed contests, trying to beat the red light, etc. to show off. When I think back to when I was that young, I'm surprised that I didn't get into a major accident because of some of the outrageous risks both my friends and I took.

At least for my crowd, most of us did our stupid stuff off road. :D

A. in looking back at my last post, I see I need to only type on the computer, not the stupid phone. Totally messes up what I said.

B.GRA, I was being partly serious but at the same time, trying not to be too serious. At one o'clock in the morning, I'm not very good at balancing this.
