mypoint is if there was a literal talking snake bak then, why arent there literal talking snakes today? also, how could it have been taken as allegorial by so many people(probly the majority) before the real age of earth and evolution were discovered if, as you say,its obviously literal?

Even now... People have heard animals literally speak to them. Others may think they've gone bonkers, but it happens.
The Bible says that anything God created has a spirit, but it doesn't say that it will always have a good spirit. The devil can possess just about anything!
I'm a first hand witness of what the devil can possess, and it's a scary topic.
But back to the point I was trying to make...
If the devil possessed the snake, yes, the snake could talk. And if the devil chose to possess a snake again, then a snake today could talk too.

so those who believe in evolution think we came from rocks..accidentally? I see... I dont think one could break a wrist watch...throw it in a paper bag ..shake it up and open it and expect a perfectly ticking wrist watch again.
Such as the complexity of a human being...the designed intricacy and form a simple leaf from a tree...with its veins to transpire water from its roots ..the way it folds in on itself under the force of the wind just right without blowing off to carry on the process through the seasons until its job is done until winter...whereupon it falls...yet the tree goes dormant and still lives on.
And were much more complex than a leaf on a simple tree

I think you fail to understand that Evolution doesn't tackle the origin of life. It tackles the bit after that. The Origin of life is a whole other subject.

if we are always searching for truth and understanding by our own finite means, we therefore limit ourselves infinitely

If one can release the constraints of their own limits, and accept Christ, that individual will gain understanding and wisdom to be unlimited infinitely

But he shows us not so much in nature though he is everywhere, but more he shows us his presence in our lives, in ways we cant even imagine, in circumstances beyond our control which he turns around for those who believe and trust in him, to not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will take care of itself.......
But to live today in such a way that we not only show Christ in us
But that we let Christ live through us.
So that we are the reflection......of Gods creation

As a believer we dont choose to read the bible then decide if were going to believe it
we decide we are going to believe the bible first, and then we read it.

To be perfectly honest, I think the whole subject is a mixture of stupidity, ignorance and misinformation. No matter how much evidence there will be for evolution. There'll always be a group of people who believe in literal 6 day creation and talking snakes hook, line and sinker.
