what is with all these arguments about sabbath day?

Jesus said the sabbath day was made for the people, not people for the sabbath.
Meaning we should take in sabbath day when we have the chance.
Just because it says Sabbath day doesn't mean WE HAVE to take it, because then it would mean people are for the sabbath.

it is fine to go to work on sabbath day or do other things, but just because it's Sabbath day doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything. When you have the chance for something, take it!
if it's work chance take it, if it's chance to rest from work, take it!

Jesus healed on Sabbath day and preached, yet the Pharisees kept questioning Jesus authority why he would do this things on Sabbath.
Jesus even gave an example of David and his men when they went to Church and ate forbidden bread during sabbath.
Also Jesus said, is it better to heal on sabbath day or do nothing?

you see? people please stop questioning the Lord's work.

and does it matter what day a sabbath day is?
you check work rota and the day starts from Sunday while Saturday being the 7th day.
you check everywhere else and Monday is always the starting day and while Sunday being 7th day as we know it.

What is the Sabbath day?

At first glance, the question “What is the Sabbath day?” seems fairly simple. According to Exodus 20:8-11, the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week, on which we are to rest, in remembrance that God created the universe in six days and then “rested” on the seventh day. However, due to the misunderstanding and misinterpretation of some Christian groups, the meaning of the Sabbath day rest has been confused.

Some Christian groups, such as the Seventh Day Adventists, view the Sabbath as the day of worship, the day on which Christians should attend church / worship services. While these groups typically also teach that no work is to be done on the Sabbath, the concept of the “day of worship” is sometimes more emphasized than the “day of rest.”

As you can see, why do we have Friday night worship? that is one of the reason why I didn't go church previously, because I still have to get up early in the morning and go to church which is no different to doing the same during work days. And they call this sabbath/rest day!?? but i go to church now.

As you can see there is NO set day as Sabbath, Sabbath is ONLY the 7th day!
So whenever you perceive yourself working, on the 7th day or the day you have free time should be your rest day!

but mark my words people who work 7days need to change their job, but I wouldn't say much.
If they can find the time to worship Jesus during their 7 days then it's fine. Hope they find rest on Sabbath day too.

No need to argue about this. The answers are in the bible indeed!

let is not follow the world for they do worldly stuff.
It is just like Christmas, many are saying Jesus birthday is not December 25, so which is?
it doesn't matter, we should just honur and worship Jesus and depart from what the world celebrate.
As we all know Easter/Good Friday was the day the Lord rose up from the dead, yet the world is lying to their children can calling it Easter Chocolate egg day.

Doesn't matter if we work or go to church on Sabbath or sunday. As long as we live our life for Jesus, that is all Jesus cares about.
I will rather worship him 24/7 than to take a rest for a day that puts my mind off him:/

Without the shedding blood there is no remission of sins.

You are right, without Yahshua the Messiah being our sin offering, we do not receive the New Covenant.

That is why the Bible says the saints are :

Revelation 14
12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

That is why Yahshua the Messiah says this :

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

how is this fulfilled:

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment
39 And the second is like unto it,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

When you truly keep the first Great Commandment the second comes naturally.
It is JUST LIKE IT or similar because no one has seen God. But how we treat our neighbors is how we treat Him.

Stop making excuses that do not agree with scripture.

You do not have to see to know him and love him.

Believing is seeing

Not seeing to Believe.

Yahshua the Messiah says:

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

How so? Again I stated that I cannot see God, but I see you beloved. And how I treat you is how I would treat Him. I show my love for God by how I treat you.

You cannot see Yahshua the Messiah with your "mortal eyes", but you accept him as your Saviour son of Yahvah God.

Is it not Faith that see's, that which others see not?

Why accept his Salvation, but do not the things he teaches?

I offer what I received, it is not a "you must do", for I have no authority and can only share Truth with you.

Glory to Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah always and forever and ever.

2Cr 3:14 "But the people's minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away."

In Christ, you have ceased from all your works and have entered His Rest.

Gal 2:20 "...It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me..."

For those of you who don't understand what that means...I've got nothing I can say that can help you understand, so continue to enjoy your Saturday off of work. I'll continue to enjoy His Rest continually and hope you know what that means some day.

You will note that most I quoted was from the New Testament in what Yahshua the Messiah taught.

Your quote is those without Faith in Yahshua the Messiah....

Those that refused the New covenant of Yahvah God through Yahshua the Messiah.

Consider that you are without understanding and that Yahshua the Messiah came to clean us of sin, to give us a pardon from our death sentence.. to bring Light that brings a loving obedience to his Father Yahvah God.

Once again I did not receive this outwardly and testify it came from within by hearing the word from the Holy Spirit.

I would rather be in error for teaching people the will of Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah than to be one that teaches against.

loveme1,

Christians can continue to think with their carnal mind, which means they can continue to still wear that veil (1 Cor. 3:3).

Jesus taught to honor animal sacrifices too among many other things besides the Sabbath, but you don't continue to do animal sacrifices and have levitical priests, because it is in the New Testament do you?

Anyhow, like I said: Enjoy your Saturday off work, if that's how you role :) . I hope you understand His Rest.

Why would i continue to offer animals for sacrifice, when i accepted the ultimate sin offering to Yahvah God, which is Yahshua the Messiah?

You are confusing the law of Moses to Yahvah God's 10 Commandments...

I enjoy the Sabbath very much thank you it is a Blessing :)

You mean like a day is like a 1000 yrs. and a 1000 yrs is like a day? I think your literal and God's literal are not on the same page.

I suppose you by that logic believe that the sabbath mentioned in Acts 16:13 lasted 1000 years.

What matters is the new testaments which invokes Jesus Christ.
and I though I don't know much about the bible but see many who are completely mixed up with the scriptures and only follow their opinion!

About the animal sacrifice, No we don't have to sacrifice animals or humans to please God, ever since the new covenant with Jesus, the old ways are gone. Loveme1 is right on this.
If only I can find the scripture that says ever since Jesus died for us, we don't have to sacrifice animals to please him.

@Angelofmercy

so because you don't see God is how you will treat your neighbours?
before we get deep into this.
can you please describe whom you would call your neighbour/s?

Also about your comment of not seeing God.
Try not to think of what you might expect from movies, stories and stuff.
You will not see Jesus face because you are not worthy. Only when you die and gone to heaven or during judgement day is when you will see his face.
Jesus is love, remember that quote?
if you love others as yourself then Jesus dwells in you.

John 8:21
"Later Jesus said to them again, "I am going away. You will search for me but will die in your sin. You cannot come where I am going.""

John 6:28
"Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill."

Proverb 8:17
""I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me."

John 1:18
"No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known."
Yes some people have seen God, but not his face. Some see him through vision, dream or trance.
But what this quote means that- as right now if you see God's face, you will not live!

Isaiah 64:4
"For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!"
Meaning other gods you have heard off, no one has seen or hear the gods, except our Father God/Jesus.

The answers are in the bible.

and you will be so ashamed or embarrassed when you ask Jesus, "I couldn't see you, where were you?"
and he will say to you "I've always been next to you watching you"

What do the plan of man and what does the pride of men full of the law have to did with what god planned? Just because men still of the law did doesn't mean it's the way of god as a matter of fact it's what not to do. I wonder if that why the chruch in jersulam went done to tubes and had nothing to eat and had to have money come in for outside to save there backside.

You said you quoted NT scripture to support your idea that the Sabbath is still to be observed. I was just sharing that I could quote NT scriptures that supported animal sacrifices and use of levitical priests, so quoting scriptures from the NT that concerns people that were still under the OT doesn't really make a case for much of anything for NT believers to observe. That's all I was communicating about that.

According to scripture, The Law of Moses included the 10 Commandments: Exodus 20:1-24:7; Deuteronomy 31:24-26. It was God who commanded all of it (Malchi 4:4). It was called the Law of Moses, because Moses was the one that delivered it to the people, not because he made it up: "...Book of the Law of the LORD [given] by Moses..." (2 Chronicles 34:14; John 7:19).

Even though they observed the Sabbath day, they did not enter His Rest. (Numbers 15:32-35 compare Hebrews 3:8-11)

The Rest of God is in Christ, not a day. The 7th day was a a foreshadow of entering Christ.

In Christ, you have ceased from all your works and have entered His Rest.

Gal 2:20 "...It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me..."

John 14:15
(15) If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Exodus 20:6
(6) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Both passages use the same word "commandments". There's nothing that shows both passages are referencing the same commandments if that's what you are suggesting. If you read further Jesus expresses he has commandments for us to keep, just like Jesus had commandments from His Father to keep.

Jhn 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

If you read further we actually learn that Jesus' commands that He gives us were given to the prophets and the apostles to deliver to the church...

1Cr 14:37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.

Paul's instructions to the churches were the commandments of the Lord.

Your reference of the word "commandments" between the OT and NT are speaking of different commandments unless you believe that OT believers adhered to Paul's writings and instructions to the NT church, which I'm sure you don't.
