Hey everyone! I thought I'd posting a little more! (Hopefully a good idea...)

So, why the singles thread? What did you come here for?

To find someone?

To talk with other singles about things?

Encouragement or healing?

Another reason?

I'm curious, and I bet you may be too. Please, let's hear each other share our stories!

I came to receive some Spiritual support and maybe get to mingle with some fellow believers. Christian encouragement is hard to find this days, so are young, Christian singles.

This thread typically has all the best discussions and "panelists" if you will.

I'm with Ritter the topics are certainly more interesting than any of the other sections on here. I don't know how many more oneness vs trinitarians, or Tongues vs no tongues I could read on the bible discussion part...

That's awesome, Always! I hear you on the support, spiritual and general, as being hard to find. I'd also agree that strong, on fire Christians at a young age, though very much existing, are sometimes quite hard to find.

Arguably, that could be said for any age, but I've been blessed to know many devote, Christ-centered saints in my time.

I hear you, Ritter. The miscellaneous thread, I find, can often be good, and so is the 'young adults' thread. I do, however, find myself most consistently posting and replying here in the singles thread.

Hmm...I shall have to ponder that. Perhaps it's due to the people who frequent this thread...

Lol, I understand; however, topics due to tend to repeat themselves regardless of what thread your on. When you put enough heads together, the most general things all get thoroughly covered.

That said, part of the many things I think, speak, and hopefully will someday right about, is the overshadowing effect that relationships have on existence.

Now, granted, not everything is about dating relationships, but generally, everything we think, feel, say, do, or desire has to do with some kind of relationship.

F.E. Jesus said the greatest commandments are, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself."

The three primary relationships (that I argue are the foundations and function of everything in our lives) are pointed out here. Our relationship with God. Our relationships with others. Our relationships with ourselves.

So, it makes sense that relationship-oriented threads are the most frequented of all areas.

In any case, I simply come here for the connection. I want to know you, and I want you to know me. That's how we make friends, partners, brothers/sisters, girlfriends/boyfriends, and every other meaningful relationship.

Granted, family is usually a given, as you're born into it, but even then there is work be done. More or less, who we are, (and if you're concerned about this...) who we want to be/want to be seen as depends entirely on us.

I started chatting on CC about two years ago. I met someone a short time after and we had been in a new relationship for a couple of months (and it wasn't going well at all as far as I could see), so I came to this forum to pick the brains of other singles. I'd been married for 15+ years and wondered whether things had changed and whether I was just doing it wrong. :)

A lot of friends/co-workers I knew offline were attempting to get me to date guys and go places that made me feel like a piece of meat hanging in a butchershop window. I met some of the precious christian people of this forum and they helped me feel like less of a freak for feeling that way. :)

Nautilus, I got bored with the merry go round topics too. :) No one will ever listen to anyone when things get as ugly as discussions of certain biblical topics. I have enough stress in my life. I don't need to read it for entertainment. :)

I'm not sure why I stick around this particular section of the board so much. I suppose it's more interesting than all the other stuff. Normally I'm not too interested in relationships and whatnot. I suppose here I do get to express that interest.

I mainly come here to try and correct everyone's spelling and grammar; all else is secondary. Hehe!!!! :). Seriously, when I come to the singles' forum, it's for fun, mostly; I've laughed so hard at some of the things here. Anyone who claims that Christians don't have fun needs to hang out with us when we're on a roll :D! Now to get some rest so I can go to Jullianna's thread and post the nicknames I've come up with for everyone..... :).

I wanted someone to talk with. I went to a chat site I used in the past and found I didn't like what they were talking about. I thouught I might like the conversation here and I do. Who knows where this is going? I sure don't.

I am single. However, I am no tin any rush at all to be married. In fact, I do not feel at all much to desired to ever be married. haha Opinions? Suggestions? A fellow believer told me that God is okay with that, and marriage is not for everyone. On the other hand, another believe told me that she desires to get married because God wants us to. Any input would be great. Thank you :D

If you are trying to correct my spalling and gramar it will be a lifetime thang.

I come here more or least because it easier for me to connect with people who share alot, of my life's lot. Plus as a Christian I think there might be a command against bar hopping and such.

And I really enjoy many of the topics Liamson and Julianna, come up with.

Ummmm......... *resists urge to edit Beloved's post*

PurpleFizz, the book of Corinthians has a lot to say about marriage, and it's great that you don't feel the need to get married. I've found that the more time I spend helping others, the more content I am being single. Here's a more detailed account in this specific post, though the whole thread mentions more of that same mindset to some degree: http://christianchat.com/christian-...-guys-please-read-girls-too-5.html#post629541
