Men and women have different mating strategies and must live up to some minimum requirements to be accepted in our culture.
Men size up women as baby-making material, and women size up men as a meal ticket.
If a man will not provide for his wife, it really does not matter what else he does. If a women will not care for her children, again it really does not matter what else she does.
Men also have to exhibit handyman skills, and women some home economic skills - a lot of overlap is okay though. But for the high-end duties, they fall along man/woman traditions. Like my wife won't let me touch the important laundry (towels are okay), and I refurbished the grill (seriously dirty, grungey, and grill parts that should effortllessly fit together, don't).
I have also noticed that when a man gets injured in a group of men, they usually laugh (at least at first), about the injury. Women sympathize from the start. Any idea why?
