some people see the picture in a different way, it inspiring, look at it this way, there like a volcano and it about to explode so the workers are working in other to harvest whatever they can and fast before they run out of time. so are we the believers we should try saving as many souls as we can because Christ is coming soon. i and some people were discussing about it some time ago i didn't really realize either, not until they started analyzing it. it was really great. i love the picture and the one in the simple bible room too.

Like i said, the point of my suggestion is not because I view farming as the opposite of progress or anything negative because in fact

You listed "with mostly farmers" as part of your description of a primitive place. (perception of being primitive was your main complaint.)

It is not such a backward, primitive place with mostly farmers.

Then, when providing examples of progress you offered cities and tourism.

Also, there are many other sceneries that portray progress like cities or beauty like our many tourist destinations.

You may not have a problem, now that it's been pointed out.

And guys (and ladies), it really doesn't matter which picture was placed in the background. It may be a photo of our street kids or the recent flooding devastation..OR it may be our Boracay island, Palawan, (our cities or hehe, our malls - which we all love) Jesus knows we are a beautiful people and a beautiful country - HE made us. And however other people see us will not really change that truth.

Anyway, The photo I think is Mayon Volcano in Bicol region and it shows our hardworking rice farmers (of course I am generalizing because I like to think we are hardworking

hello Strawberryfizz, they don't understand how we feel and what we want to convey...<---[i meant no offense to other races involved on this thread], i think Roboop will consider/ might consider our suggestion... he is an american i think, but he is here in philippines, cebu in particular. We are city neighbors...

and it might also help if we can give him some sceneries, or other views of our country...

While we are on the topic... can we change the background of the lounge from sand to something else? I never lounge on the beach. How about a photo of my sofa? Most people lounge on sofas.
