You know, I used to absolutely LOVE The History Channel back in the day. I like history. It's one of my things. The problem is, that channel doesn't show history anymore. It's all about Nostradamus, aliens, ancient astronaut stupidity, and Pawn Stars. Give me a break. How did a channel, based entirely on history, turn itself into what it became? I hate that channel now.
I love pawn stars lol.

I love pawn stars lol.

A lot of people do. I can even agree with it, since at the very least, it does show some history and historical items. It goes along with the theme. I got sick of it after I realized it was just extremely dramatized for no reason, along with my strong dislike of pawn shops (they rip you off no matter what, which always surprises me why these people bring rare, museum quality items to a pawn shop?). I guess that's why they are located in Vegas. People want quick cash after they lose their home in the blackjack table.

I've never been to the store myself, but I know people who have, and it is pretty much just a small, normal pawn shop. The pawn "stars" are never there, unless they are filming, and the majority of items they get only come so people can be on television (as if they don't rehearse everything beforehand too).

Anyway, I can stomach Pawn Stars. I can't stomach Nostradamus, or especially ancient astronaut theory shows. That guy David Icky is mentally insane, and there are no actual facts to back any of the shows up. I could understand if it was a theory with legitimate evidence, but there are none beyond wild speculation, using references that have nothing to do with the subject matter. It's just bad science with bad scholars.

I used to respect them when they had those biblical shows, even the apocrypha ones. I could even respect them if they still showed them side-by-side with the ancient astronaut, Nostradamus, and evolutionary things. It's one of the reasons they used to stand out.

What I believe happened is the production managers were changed, and the history channel moved toward entertainment of the masses (aka: unintellectual crowd), which brings ratings, rather than the minority intellectual things they used to show. That must be why they created History Channel 2 or whatever it's called (I don't have the channel), to cater to the old crowd?

I finally made the cover of a magazine. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!

I remember the History and A&E of over a decade ago. They were great channels with quality entertainment. My learning disability riddled young mind gravitated toward their educational programming along with Discovery and TLC before they turned into freak shows.

It's sad that things have degraded to the point they have.

I agree completely. I loved every one of those channels back in the day. The closest thing I have to that now would probably be Netflix, since I can find the random documentary if the subject matter is interesting. I've always loved to travel, so watching those shows about the headhunters in Papua New Guinea and other places still peak my interest.

I'm the same way!

The irony is that even though we have more channels and greater amount of choice, we are given less variety in the subject matter provided.

I remember tuning into shows on the weekday about shipwrecks of gold, Ivan the Terrible, Ancient Japan, the American Space Program, the politics of Bolivia, robotics, space!

Now we have variations on the same theme: "reality" and "real history" which are hardly real. They don't feed the imagination or critical thinking skills either.

True story, unless you're an Italian living in a very cold, non-sunny area with an unhealthy love for spray tanning. Then those shows are right up your alley.

Ssssshh, don't let the world know we're turning old!

I was watching something from "Top of the pops" about five years ago, they sent a music video from when I was a kid. when people on TV still worse those silvery, flashy clothes. The one commenting the show said "Back then they were allowed to dress like that"

The question is why are they pushing such agenda? What aer they getting the world ready for?

Ugly -- No I'm not saying that. Satan was the prettiest Angel, but something’s we learn as we go. Daniel tells us knowledge shall increase.
Elizabeth -- this person is growing scales --

Shanyna Isom Grows Nails Instead Of Hair Due To Skin Condition

Are you trying to say this girl is demonic or something? She has a skin condition.
I also have a skin condition. I sometimes get a "scaly rash" on my skin due to an autoimmune deficiency.

I don't know what this person is. I heard her grandmother speak of god, but it is something new.

Also why do you get so freak out ?? Again I don't know if Jesus meant we would see fallen angels having sex and babies with humans, or what, but it never hurts to keep your eyes open, NOT SHUT WITH FINGER IN EARS SCREAMING I DON'T HEAR OR SEE NOTHING

Do you know how to quote people and directly respond to them?

I think aliens are dirty perverts. They're always trying to probe redneck men.
