Why I like being single...

So instead of another thread on finding true love, blah blah (and don't get me wrong, if it comes my way, I will be very happy) I'm going to start a thread on why I love being single.

1. I am able glorify God through my singleness.
2. I am able work on projects that I otherwise wouldn't have time for in a relationship, i.e. my OT study.
3. I am able save more money.
4. I am able to concentrate more on school.
5. I am able to work more than I would be if I were in a relationship.
6. I am able to put more into relationships with my friends, family, etc. than I otherwise would be able to.
7. I am able to go to medical school if I decide I really want to.
8. I am able to dedicate a lot of time to reading and Biblical studies.
9. AND MOST IMPORTANT! I get to watch football all day on Saturday and Sunday lol

So yea, I am happy to be single. IT is a really great opportunity. Someday I may not be single, but in the time being, I am living it up as a bachelor lol.

I can focus more on knowing what God wants for me, and I need to focus A LOT for that.
If God ever decides to place me somewhere else, I am totally free to do it.
I don't have to worry about looking pretty all the time.
My dog gets jealous when I don't pay attention to him.

I'm happy to being singles cause: I'm able to worship God through singleness, I'm able to serve my disciple in God, I'm able to save a lot of money and other deposits, im able to travel freely without worry about someone and I can hang out with every people without ask permission to someone and maximize my carrer and improve skills for the future benefits, hahahahahaha..

I'm happy being single because I do not have to deal with some emotional mess that doesn't live up to my "perfect princess" standards and expectation. Plus I don't have to wipe any baby doody if kids get involved.

Some friends of mine pour out to me about their problems with their spouses or boyfriends
and I can't help but feel their pain and anguish.
I always end up praising and thanking God that I am single.

I agree I am not ready to be in a relationship i would love to marry a kind and gentle christian woman but i will just wait for god to bring us together

I'll admit that there are benefits to singleness. If I have to work late there's no one to have to check in with. I do what I want when I want without having concern about someone else's schedule. However, I by far prefer the benefits of a relationship to the benefits of singleness.

This made me remember, I like being single because I don't have to worry about cold feet mysteriously coming in contact with the middle of my back at 2am.
