Abraham is no different as he was exercising faith in God's promise and we know that promise was actually a type of Christ. This entire story is a type of what was going to take place in believers in the NT which is dying to self even when we don't understand it.
Consider this.....when was it that God knew for a fact that Abraham believed in Him? Was it when Abraham gathered his son to go to the mountain? Was it on the way up the mountain? Was it when he prepared the alter?

At what point did God know for certain that Abraham believed Him? When was Abraham's faith confirmed?

Simple question.

You are failing to see how the emphasis is on faith. Of course genuine faith produces work in love Galatians 5:6 but the emphasis is always faith because obedience is of the spirit. The act of obedience is something that never points to us (that is meaning the flesh) but to Christ's finish work.

Again I ask....

So it is belief in Jesus that is needed for salvation? Is that all that is needed? Does not Satan believe that there is a Jesus? And does he not know personally that He is the Son of God? And how about the following verse....?

James 2
[19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

God's word tells us that even the demons believe there is a God and a Son of God.

Will their belief save them?

Will their faith save them?

Did you read ALL of what I posted? Do you understand what time period is being spoken of in Isa.25?

This speaks of the time that Christ will rule here on earth for 1000 years. Only those that have returned with Christ as spirit beings will not have to worry about death. Everyone else, those flesh and blood beings that remain, will have to experience death. And it will be those flesh and blood beings that are left whose tears will be wiped away.....ALL of them. Why? Because Christ will be here teaching mankind HIS ways and HIS laws for 1000 years.

And concerning your quote above in Timothy. Christ did come to die for ALL of mankind...but let's read about something else Christ WILL do in the future....

Matt.25
[40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[46] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Just another example of that lies in store for those that do not keep the laws and commandments of the Lord.

So listen....I could go on and on with verse after verse concerning how Jesus is going to judge then reward some and punish others. I'm sure most reading this post believe the same doctrine.

So if you truly believe that the Lord is going to save ALL of mankind...then sobeit. There is nothing more for me to give you.

The only one that can open your eyes is the Lord.

No flesh and blood will inherit the kingdom. These are the children on the left. We all will fall never to rise again. Jesus rules NOW as I rule with Him in my day (1000 yrs) with the Lord. And if the kingdom comes NOT with observation, why wait for a day when the heavens roll up like a scroll? This day speaks of the death of each and every individual.

Devils also believe, so what makes you different? This is what the bible is trying to get YOU to see!

You believed in God. Hitler believed on God as well.

What seperates you from him, a devil while in the flesh?

Essentially one must just believe, just to repent a nd believe the gospel. What is the gospel? it is the word of God.. What is the word? the word is Jesus..When one believes what the record states about what Jesus did FOR OUR OWN SELF IN OUR OWN LIFE, this is believing..Sin comes from unbelief if we are still sinning then we are not believing.A person comes from the place by the lord's mercy and grace from not believing to believing steadfast. This person is a good tree, will bear good fruit and cannot bear evil fruit.

Ok! Got it!

Christ rules NOW for 1000 years! Got it!

And you rule with Him NOW for 1000 years! Got it!

I pray God opens your eyes before it is too late.

Paul still sinned AFTER coming into the knowledge of God. Did not Paul have faith in God? It was not from Paul's unbelief that he continued to sin. It was from him being tempted by Satan. Paul had to keep his body under control. Paul had to resist temptation. He had to do this until he died.

We ALL must do as Paul. Resist temptation and bring our bodies under control. We must do our best to avoid sin. And sin is breaking God's laws.

**** those that truly believe, they will rule with Him.
And that would not include everyone, seeing that not all believe in Jesus being who He said He was. May I ask why you say that all will be saved, but yet you say here that they who believe will rule with Him?

anytime one transgress it is from unbelief brother.. If one is receiving a lie from the enemy then this means they are believing the enemy as opposed to believing the truth. This is unbelief in the truth.

Still looking for signs in the sky, huh?

Paul told you that all things were lawful to him and that he judges all things, and yet he is judged of no man. Sounds like a ruler to me.

Now really think about this. If it is not you who no longer lives but Christ in you, then how many times must He be resurrected? Does He not now live forever more?

Rom.7
[19] For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

Paul wants to do good. He wants to keep the laws of God...but he does not always keep them. (For the good that I would I do not;). But the sins that he does not want to do...sometimes he does them. (but the evil which I would not, that I do.)

[20] Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

For the times that Paul does those things he does not want to do (Now if I do that I would not). It is not because he wants to do them (it is no more I that do it), but is is the sin within him...the constant temptation. (but sin that dwelleth in me.)

[21] I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

Paul is always reminded of God's laws whenever he tries to do good (I find then a law, that, when I would do good,), but God's laws reminds him of sin (evil is present with me.) The evil is made known by God's laws.

"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet."

Let's read what Paul said about keeping his body under control....

1 Cor.9
[27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Do you believe Paul knew what would happen if he did NOT keep his body under subjection?

Now if Paul had to keep his body under control...imagine what we have to go through. Paul KNEW people that knew Jesus. We have faith.

Shouldn't even common sense tell you the answer to this??? If everyone is a ruler, then who would be left to v follow them? Having my hope secure in the resurrection of all, I earnestly contend for the faith delivered unto the saints.

So, I may do as I please, knowing in the end, whether I am a ruler or one who is ruled, I will still enter God's rest? Sounds like a deal to me :(

The rest of 1 Corinthians 6 explains that he is not talking about all things of the Law, but food and drinks. Is it lawful for me to kill? To steal? Love says no. So, perhaps, if you would, instead of justifying we are free from God's expressed will in Laws spoken in love, perhaps, you should be under the guidance of the Spirit. The Spirit will never say we are free to live as we please, but all the more, we must live a moral life.

So, what that means to me is that I can eat and drinks anything I please as long as it does not become an offense towards a brother. But, I am not free to spit at the will of God.

David killed! Abraham was a coward! Isaac was a swindler. And Paul persecuted the church of God! Yet he said that as touching the law, he as well as they were blameless. Ezekiel was told to eat a scroll. Was it a sandwich? No. Eating and drinking deals with what we take in as a whole.

It is YHWH who kills and makes alive! It is He who creates both good and evil. He does all these things.

You read never picking up the Author's intent. Abraham threw his wife under the bus twice TO SAVE HIS OWN NECK! I cannot do that. David committed PREMEDITATED MURDER AFTER KNOWING THE LORD!

Jacob's mother LIED and manipulated to secure the birthright for her younger son. Isaiah had by today's standards had premarital sex AND a child out of wedlock!

Do you all actually pay attention and take to heart the words in the bible? Moses killed a man and blatantly denied to give God the glory when the pride of self caused him to strike the rock! For Christ sakes Aaron helped to make the false image of a calf that many others died from!

These people are NO DIFFERENT FROM US!
