What do you think is the best thing about being your gender?

Its a lot easier to answer this about the opposite gender, lol.

Best - prettier
Worst - sometimes more emotional than I can deal with? Not that its inherently bad, but when a friend comes to me about something terrible, I'm not the best at being comforting or consoling..I'm more apt to just start brainstorming ways to fix whatever the problem is, or figure out another angle to perceive the situation so its not quite as devastating. I never quite know how to appropriately react to tears

Best?
the is supposed to lead, pay for stuff, make plan. be the boss. i just have to follow

worst?
I'm supposed to follow. . . . . .>_>

Well as a christian guy

Best: strength both mental and physical
Worst: lustfullness

Best: Intuition, imagination, gentleness. Also, we can wear more color options without feeling insecure to our gender stereotype. :p (Some men are scared of pink, it's hilarious).

Worst: PMS and cramps. Less respect. More quickly criticized for appearance.

The other day I overheard a conversation between two women (they were more or less editing it) while in the backseat of a car. I thought the conversation was utterly fascinating in it's complexity. Some of it seemed absolutely meaningless, but to women it has meaning.

I want to be able to experience that level of connection with somebody.

Our strength as a gender lies in our ability to ignore those connections at times. Women are less likely to disturb connections with others or commit a necessarily offensive action.

1. I can pull of a pink shirt

2. Imagination is certainly not a predominantly feminine trait.

Oh yeah I know. But I think on average society tends to discourage using the imagination from boys more than girls. There are some dads that think it's "too sissy", etc. and that their sons should be out playing sports instead. Plus men tend to be better at math-type thinking (left brain). So I imagine it's more of a struggle for guys to keep theirs.
I know guys can be imaginative too. Some of my favorite blogs are done by guys. :p

But the Truth is, is that Pink is not a "Mans" Color. Its just how it is. There certain things in life that are ment for girls, and there certain things ment for guys. And Pink is not one for the Guys. I know people will disagree, but thats the way life is. Even look in the Bible. You wont find Pink. You will find purple, since that was the color of royality. But not pink. Pink is just to feminine for a Man to wear. Let him wear something that is red, orange, blue, purple, grey, black, green, etc. Just Not Pink.

well this fairly closed minded. I mean if you dont look good in pink or just arent secure enough in yourself to wear pink thats one thing. But colors arent really divided by sex. The use of pink and blue emerged at the turn of the century, the rule being pink for boys, blue for girls. Since pink was a stronger color it was best suited for boys; blue was more delicate and dainty and best for girls. And in 1921, the Women's Institute for Domestic Science in Pennsylvania endorsed pink for boys, blue for girls. One could argue that contemporary color symbolism confirms these associations. Blue is considered a calm, passive color, hence feminine. Red (pink derived from red) is considered active hence masculine.

BEST: more freedom to follow our hearts; less judgment when we do
WORST: presumptions re: abilities, weaknesses and intellect

But...we get to wear cooler shoes, so it's all good :D

It's cultural.

You can keep your high heels. :D

Worst: Dealing with gender specific biases caused by other men. It seems that many (not all) women paint men with the broad brush of stereotype that they have seen in many men such as we are unfeeling, incapable of empathy, we only think with our....well, umm, you know, etc.

Best: Not having to experience PMS, menopause, childbirth. :D

Best thing:
Being the one who gets to bring the romance to a relationship.

Worst thing:
It's practically impossible to win over the heart of a good woman.

best: not having to wear to make-up, not having to shave

worst: eh who am I kidding, I love being a guy!

Best: no one really cares if you are "scruffy" or not.
Worse: when you suddenly care you are scruffy and "she" might not like it

exactly we get to wear cooler shoes.. or for shorty girls they can be taller when they wear heels lol
and worst i would say emotions and our imagination .. because we can make a huge story with just one smile that came from a guy lol hahaha .. haha
