Hebrews 9:27

New Living Translation (NLT)

27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

Amazing how these people all manage to miss judgment.

Also, when John received visions of Heaven he was told NOT to tell of certain things he saw, yet these 'nde' people see everything are God freely allows them to share everything. Why would God put those restrictions on John, but not on anyone else?

I see no biblical backing for this concept. To me it fits in with gold dust, oil, diamonds, holy laughter and the like.
Neardeath-experience wich means they didnt die.. they didnt cross over and only saw the visions.. still not believing something like that can happen?

When my wife died, she was in a very unique position, one I had never seen a person in before. Her hands were raised just so, her eyes open just so, etc. I debated with myself for a week or so, then said "why not just try it?" So I did. Immediately, I saw the front gate of heaven ready to swing open in front of me in my mind. I had no doubt before, that my wife was going straight to heaven. But I was so grateful to know that God had done something to let her eyes and brain know it too, as the last thing they would ever perceive.

I think Near Death Experiences are very like that. They are what your mind would see as the last thing on earth if you kept on dying. So I agree with you, Ugly and Maholy. I think we all have one inside us, for God to release when we are on our way to Him. I think some are granted a glimpse of where we are with Him today, so we can decide to get closer to Him.

I don't know what else to call this other than "miraculous"...
When our (now 27 yo) second born daughter was 11 months old, one of her breasts began to develop.
I showed a friend who had a 4 yr nursing degree, and she said, let's go to the pediatrician NOW.

Blood tests were done which showed an enzyme made in the liver elevated over 15 times the norm.
The doc said, let's draw blood and perform the test again, since it could be lab error.
But the enzyme was even more elevated.

The pediatrician said she had hoped for 'just' early puberty (yep--I guess it can happen to very little girls), but she was now convinced that our baby either had a brain tumor or terminal liver disease.
I was 5 months pregnant for our third, and couldn't go in for the dozens of x-rays they did on her. (they were negative)
And it freaked me out that our daughter's doctor called every day (including weekends!) asking how I was doing!

The docs expected our little girl to die, but the Lord had other plans. Our church prayed, and got lots of other churches involved. We saw specialists at the nearest tertiary care hospital, and they all made the same prognosis---terminal liver disease.

A month after this began, the blood test was re-run, and it was normal.
One week after that, the test was done again (for the ump-teenth time), and it was normal.
We saw a pediatric endocrinoligist (at a teacing hospital) who called about 15 residents in to "look at her gorgeous skin! There can't be anything wrong with this baby!" :)

I don't know what happened, other than the Lord healed our daughter. ♥ The docs all said, "we don't like to say 'miracle', but..."

btw--when we told her that story when she was 4, she looked at us through those huge brown eyes and asked, "Did I die?" LOL
Kids---ya gotta love 'em! :)

That's brilliant ellie - good for her and praise God.

I struggled with a very painful, chronic issue from birth with my ears that caused hearing loss from time to time, and for 5 entire months at the age of 15. God healed me instantly and miraculously at the age of 17 during a prayer meeting.

During military service one day I woke up and felt completely drained of energy, pale clammy skin, nauseous and dizzy, the Sick Bay was the other end of our camp which would be about a 2 minute walk, it took me an hour to get there. I had to cradle my Rifle in my arms it felt so heavy. The doctor could not find anything wrong so he gave me some headache pills, I thought I was going to die, another hour to get back to my tent where I collapsed onto my bed and curled up praying to God to help me. I fell into a deep sleep and when I woke up I was totally normal........I believe Jesus touched me that day.

was in church one day and had the worst toothache ever, the Pastor asked if anyone needs healing to lay their hand on the ailment and he said a prayer. I put my hand on my cheek where the throbbing was and thanked The Lord for my healing, the pain left instantly...what a feeling that was!

I was down the coast with some friends and decided to go for a surf. The sea was very rough as there had been a cyclone out at sea a day or two before, I was unfamiliar with the area and decided to jump off the rocks into the ocean to paddle out, the rocks where quite steep and full of mussles and barnacles. I waited for a wave then jumped in and paddled out, the sidewash was extremely strong and the waves where huge, I knew I had made a terrible mistake but it was too late. I paddled like crazy to avoid the jutting rocks to my left but could see that the current was just too strong, then this humongous wave broke in front of me and I looked back to see how far I was from the rocks where I had jumped off as I thought I was quite far out, to my horror the rocks where about 2 metres from me, panic took hold of me as I was faced with this huge wall of churning white water and jagged rocks behind me, I stuck my foot out against the rocks and shouted "Jesus help me!!" just before the wave hit. It hit me hard and I clung on to my surfboard bracing myself for the pounding against the rocks that was to come, It felt like I was in a huge washing machine but I felt no rocks, the next thing I knew I was sitting on my board in ever so calm water, I was absolutely stunned and just praised God!

While on a fishing trip with work mates in Mozambique just after the war there went fishing on the crocker ski we had by myself. I paddled around the point out of sight from anyone and set up fishing. It was a fantastic day, not a breath of wind and the sea was like glass it was so calm, just a gentle rise and fall every so often as the swells passed under me. After about two hours I lay down, pulled the cap I was wearing over my face and dozed off, just chilling on a beautiful day. Now the locals all walked around armed with Machetties which is a huge bush knife and they were a rough and dangerous bunch understandably because if the war these guys had gone through. Some would go fishing in their boats far out to sea. While I was half dozing a small lick of water suddenly splashed onto my face so I sat up startled and to my surprise, a boat with two of these characters where almost by me and when they saw me sit up and see them, they mumbled to each other and turned away. I really believe that had I still being laying down with my face covered these guys would and could have easily disposed of me and stolen all without anyone ever having known what happened. What caused the water to suddenly splash me on such a calm day was definitely not their boat but The Lords doing...praise Him.

On a school camp with my son I went for a walk and when I got back everyone had left camp to go to a dam for lunch and a swim, I was supposed to go as well but came back just as they were leaving, I tried to run after the vehicles but too late. Now what I thought, well I could just stay and be bored by myself all day so I decided to take a jog after them, I had no idea where this dam was, not even the general direction. So while jogging I started talking to The Lord and asked Him to direct me which way to the Dam. The area was farmland, very hilly and just gravel roads. Every time I came to a crossroad or "T" junction I would say out loud "which way Lord" , there was no audible voice or sign telling me just an "unction" to go left or right. After 2.5 to 3 hours of running I came across an old sawmill but it looked deserted, then a person came walking and I asked him where was the Dam, he pointed to a small side road about thirty metres away, I ran down this road which barely looked like a road and there it was....everyone stared at me in surprise and they asked how on earth did I find them.

God is good when we trust Him with childlike faith......I just wish I could every day.

I really do not care if people don't believe that it was God who helped me in these situations...........I know that He cares and that is all that matters.

I have experienced a miraculous healing. Back in high school I had several Christian friends, and I was non-Christian. One day at lunch I had a sore throat and jokingly asked one of my friends, who I knew to be a person of faith, if he would pray for me. He did so, silently, and moments later I felt the pain fade away in a matter of about a second. It stunned me, because that's not something that normally happens. Although the pain did return later, it was still an undeniable experience.

A young woman in my youth group had some sort of arthritis-like disease in one of her knees. She was prayed for by the youth group and later an evangelist. Although this disease is not (as far as I know) known to be reversible, the doctors checked on it and found it had indeed gone away.

Yes, I experienced a supernatural healing experience a few years ago. After being laid off from many years of working, paying taxes, and educating myself: everything was taken from me in the Great Recession including my health. I became afflicted with serious arthritis that deformed four of my fingers (due to a lack of health care of any kind) followed by a serious medical problem in my chest.

Being a Christian, I knew I couldn't simply kill my body as an easy way to move on past the intense suffering as willful suicide in a right mind is asserted by theologians to be a mortal sin and no genuine Christian wants their last act on earth to be one of premediated murder even if the victim is themself.

Unemployed, sick, deformed, uninsured, broke, in pain, and facing homelessness; I wandered into a Vineyard Church Men's barbecue one afternoon. They had a worship session around a campfire in the early evening. After the singing, we broke into groups of three to pray for each other. While we were praying, one of the other two guys in our group began to back away from me and said he couldn't stand next to me because "energy was pouring off me."

I didn't know what he was talking about and looked at him like he was crazy. But that's when I felt either God, or an angel, reach into my chest and touch my heart. It felt like having soothing aloe vera placed onto a burning wound. Over the next few months, it was like God's spirit just flowed directly through my heart and at the end of the process, the problem in my chest was healed. People who I would classify as being very spiritual and close to God would often come up to me and put their hand on my chest and tell me something was happening.

No televangelists, no preachers, no healing rooms, no laying on hands, etc... It was just God (or one of His angels) healing a serious problem in my chest during prayer after worship.

I still take medication for my arthritis and that was not healed. Don't ask me why because I don't know.
