No, no, no :) Huge difference!

A cocky man feels he has much to prove and runs his mouth about things he knows not of, and it shows.

A confident man knows who he is and doesn’t feel the need to boast of himself. It shows in the way he presents himself and lives his life, not via his words.
 
A good leader who can carry the responsibility of his family and feels honoured to do it. Someone who is kind and loving towards others not just people close to him but also strangers, because it is easy to love those who love you but the truth of someone's character is seen by the love they show to everyone. Someone who has taken time to understand what it means to be a good husband, father and friend according to the word of God and who has availed himself to learning, for man perish from lack of knowledge. Read sound christian teaching on marriage and talk to those with wisdom.

Someone who enjoys building others up and not breaking them down, who if angry knows how to control his anger, who prefers communicating what issues he has instead of keeping it in. He must have a great sense of humour!

I'll have to respectfully disagree with this. Cockiness is easily faked, confidence is learned.

Also I have to ask, is it cocky when you know it's the truth? For instance, I'm the hottest man you will ever meet, and I know that I am whenever I pass a mirror and almost pass out because of the glory of the gorgeousness God felt so inclined to bestow on me. So is that cocky when I know it's true?
 
Godly, faithfulness, honesty, trust, consideration, kindness, humor, maturity....the list could go on and on

There are different ways of being confident.. I think cocky means that you are confident in yourself, but not in others.. Basically just thinking you are better than everybody else.

I think that confidence in others is almost just as important as confidence in yourself. :)

This has been my downfall, for some reason I find myself becoming attractive to cocky guys, and I HATE arrogance with a passion, yet...i dunno. I'm weird I guess. Maybe it the false confidence that I am attracted to?
