Try this:
1. click on the "post reply"
2. type something about your photo
3. scroll down to where you see "manage attachments"
4. browse to a photo you have saved on the window that pops up
5. click "upload" until you see your photo loaded
6. submit your response

One other tip too, Michelle. Click the "Go advanced" button, then click the "preview post" button. Then you'll see if it worked before you post it. Also, you often have to remove the first "http//" bit, as it often has that bit when you copy the url. Okay, I hope that makes sense. I'm sort of sleep-posting, a dangerous hazard that can lead to severe social repercussions.

Yes. Your URLs all start with http//. It needs to say http://. So if you put a colon in between the p and the //, it should work better. :)

Ah, okay, PopClick. What I'd meant is that whenever I try to copy a picture, it usually already includes the "http://" bit, so I have to remove the same thing that the computer automatically puts there, if that makes sense. I'd simply forgotten that the colon was also in there :).

No, literally. Right-click on Powemm's images that aren't showing up, and hit "open image in new tab". They have no ":".

Powemm, Jilly is saying that you need to erase the "http://" that's in the little "insert image" box, before you paste in your image URL. (It's the part I circled in red in this picture.)

Erase that, and replace it with your URL, instead of pasting the URL after it. If that makes sense.

Wow, that's cool that you figured out what she was doing wrong, Pop. Well, I assume that that's the only thing that was not being done correctly. *holds breath to see if it works this time* *lets breath out and PM's Michelle to let her know; two minutes is long enough without any fresh oxygen*

Yay, it worked! I like the one in your current avatar better, personally; you look happier there, though I'm glad to see that you're apparently an EX liar :D! Oh, and welcome to the site :).

Thanks for all this information. I understood, then didn't.
Ah, I got it now............. Nope!
Tried it.. messed it up.
Read the instructions again.. got confused.
Prayed.. no answer yet. So for now it's just plain words!

Here are some other helpful threads if someone doesn't know how to use the site:

http://christianchat.com/user2user-tech-support/56481-how-reply-directly-someone-post.html

http://christianchat.com/new-christian-chat-members-introduce-yourselves/31669-help-new-users.html

This one actually has the answer to most questions and in addition to that, it's at the top of everyone's page, but for some reason not enough people go there first when they have a question (me included, I'm sure :)): http://christianchat.com/faq.php A few of the things are called different things now. When the site was redone some of the names were changed. For example, now the "control panel" is the "settings" button at the top of your screen.

And here is the link to a thread that contains a list of moderators (not in the first post; scroll down a bit to posts # 6 and #22):
http://christianchat.com/suggestions/27210-current-list-mods.html Contact one of them if someone is harassing you privately (copy/paste it to one of them). If someone is posting things that are against the site rules, use the "report post" button (it's the triangle with the exclamation point in the middle of it, at the lower left corner of each post. A post is what I'm typing right now), and copy/paste the bad part into the box that appears.
