Take your time enjoy

Thanx!

2Cor. 10 and Romans 8 come to mind but I perceive you are expecting a more personal expository than a cut and paste job. I am going to ruminate on it some, making distinction between "Spirit" and "spirit"... is niggling me a bit. If ya don't mind??

Judgment begins at the house of the Lord.
Do you know who is in the house of the Lord?
Those that are humble and of a contrite spirit. - Ps.51:17; Isa. 57:15; and Isa. 66:2
Since those are the only souls in His house, I suppose they
wouldn't have time to 'observe' that some peoples devil is bigger than their God.
Because they would be too busy giving thanks to God for saving their utterly reprobate souls;
to find time to make such an accusation, (using God's Words nonetheless).
My God is not only bigger than the devil.... He is bigger than my flesh and the world also.
The only people I attack with scripture are those using it to debase others.

Sounds to me like most peoples Devil is bigger than their God. <-----------------that was your observation?

Cool thanks jukie....all is better now :)
Yes lol, it was.

However I do not recall any of your posts that fit what I said.

You know observations, we all make them. Its when we see something. lol

It comes from all those people who are all, well yes God can do anything and He does make promises, but I am just too much of a sinner for God to handle.

Sounds to me like the Devil has more power to make us sin than God has to stop us from sinning. Just sounds a little back to front to me.

John 10

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30I and my Father are one

Matthew 6

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

You say what do we do when we sin.. the Lord's prayer answers this.

I used to love ole j vernon mggee who likened his teaching to
putting the cookies on the bottom shelf so the kiddies could reach them.

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

This is how we can not sin. There is a Chiasm here in this verse that tells us the answer:

Chiasm's for those who do not know is used in the bible to find the focal point or main point of a writing. this is common in the New Testament. The main point is always in the middle of a chiasm.

1. Is Born of God
2. doth not sin
3. His seed remaineth in him
4. cannot sin
5. Born of God

The main point here is the seed remaining in him. if this is so you will not sin. must be born again though to even have him remain in us.

All seven instances of 'he who overcomes' in Revelation is actually in the present participle (meaning: the now in action (he is swimming at the moment)). What does this mean? Inasmuch as, 'He who IS sanctifying and those who ARE BEING sanctified are one', and if one understands that that sanctification is 'in the process', so also, the ones who IS OVERCOMING are given the promises attached to those 7 verses. The promises of such as: the right to eat from the Tree of Life, never to experience everlasting spiritual separation from God, heavenly manna (the food of angels), a new name (who we shall be), cloth of white linen (gloried), authority over nations, etc...

So, if we are overcoming, then we have hope given to us in promises and in patiently waiting faithfully, we continue looking forward towards the full manifestation of the Son. How wonderful is our living God.

Why would you stop? would that not be reason to lift up the praise for His most powerful Grace?

I won't stop.
Just as you will not,(as long as you are in your temporal body); stop falling short of the mark.
Read Cfultz's post......sanctification is active. You are not yet perfected.

When you know me personally then you may speak of what I will or will not reach.

By the way, you better tell God He got it wrong when He told John that those who have Christ do not sin.
