I hope that most of you are aware of the fact that homosexuality is a nothing more than a sin. The bible tells us so. Yet it is often discussed in heated debates on the forums. I've been here for just over a week, but i'm getting sick and tired of it already. Not that i hate gays, as a christian you should hate the sin, not the sinner. So if the gays, and the ones who support their 'cause,' really NEED to discuss their sinfulness on a CHRISTIAN website, then by all means: let them. But PLEASE let it be on a seperate forum. This is just a suggestion, and i'd appreciate it if you made comments on the idea ITSELF. I really don't want to start over the whole discussion around 'homosexuality' again.

You don't have to enter the threads that are clearly labeled with this topic in their thread title. By not entering you won't get sick or tired of it, seeing you won't have to read it. :P

If the topic gets put in threads NOT about said topic, then report said posts.

Thanks for the suggestion, but i personally think threads like that don't belong in the other forums at all, for instance the 'Bible Discussion Forum.' I do visit that forum, and when i do i don't want to be confronted with thread titles about 'homosexuality.' I could ofcourse choose not to enter at all, but once i get aggravated by such titles i want to jump right into the breach, so to speak. ;)
A separate gay forum would solve that problem. We can't always just look away...
 
Why are you always raging hard about gays in so many forum posts... lol
 
First of all no one is born ''gay'', all of us are born sinners and we need to show the same love that God has shown us and tell them in love that their sin just like other sins are sins and that some are more extreme than others. That this is the one which led to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah not inhospitability. God bless.

Actually, we can always just look away. Its called self control. Seems to me that this is a personal issue you need to work on within yourself, rather than expecting those around you to change so that it's easier on you. Take responsibility for your lack of self control and start practicing it and don't expect others to do the work so you don't have to.
 
I think some of the threads such as what the supreme court is doing to possibly stop gay marriage, do directly affect us as Christians, if it's something related to how it's trying to be forced on the christian community, or anything along that topic which is a discussion about how it's a sin, then it does belong, it's not being supported by Christians but being discussed as something that affects us all. Remember it's a war between good and evil, and we should know what the enemy is doing, just like any other war

No offense but: LOL! You could say about the same for ANYTHING that bothers true christians in this day and age. So if you're bothered by something in this liberal thinking, secularized world it's probably because of some personal issue you need to resolve yourself? Then we might aswell close down about 90% of the forums, and advise people to visit a shrink instead.

Basically its an abomination to God, along with many other sins, and a praticing homosexual, liar, thief, adudltrer, fornicator,will not inherit the kingdom of God!

Its alot more than a small sin, as to what you said, this sexual sin leads to spiritual death, and MUST be stopped,and totally forsaken in repentance! No such thing a a homosexualChristian, liar, thier, fornicator, adulteter, you are either one or the other, light and darkness do not mix!

Those who believe you can continue in these sins, are still in thier carnal mind and must repent, and receive with meekness the implanted word of God!!

So you want us to either stop talking about homosexuality as if it doesn't exist OR start a homosexual category in our forum (which is preposterous)? A category for homosexuality is wayyy too specific. Why not a category for cheating husbands, porn, lairs etc. Etc. To satisfy the frustrations of everyone else? No lol, we can place a gay thread in bible discussion because we can discuss it in a biblical way (as we can with any other sin.) If there is a gay in the family you can place it in the 'Christian Family Forum' are you getting it now brother? :-) it's not that complex. However, as is the case with any product, if you don't like the way this site is set up you can ease your frustration by not using it, contacting the sites manager(not start another gay thread, the very thing your complaining about...irony) or by starting you're own site(I promise ill visit it).

I didn't want to start another 'gay thread,' i started a thread about the necessity of a forum for gays, there's a big difference there. Ofcourse we SHOULD be able to discuss homosexuality about anywhere, as we should be able to discuss any sin, but it often leads to heated discussions. I tried to give my opinion on it at the' Bible Discussion Forum,' but immediately at least three people ganged up against me. They used faulty logic, false teachings, and misinterpreted everything i said on purpose, patronizing me. Some people are just out to justify homosexuality. They try to confuse true christians and to set us up against eachother. So yeah, if they continue to do so maybe the gays, and the ones who stand with them, SHOULD get their own forum, but i wouldn't be surprised if they try to take over ALL of the forums at some point. It's like what America is going through right now, with the liberals taking over the place. Ofcourse you, and others like you, want to get rid of people like me, but there's still something as freedom of speech, and i also have every right to my own opinion, just as the gays have. I never said THEY should leave, though.

It makes more sense to "meet it where it stands" ("when it rears its ugly head") and deal with it directly - and "giving it no excuse" ('ever' - not even for a moment).

Exactly GRA. Creating a forum specifically for discussing homosexuality would give the appearance that this site approves of and condones homosexuality which anyone who has been around a while knows that the Administration of this site does not. As the OP pointed out, living the homosexual lifestyle is a sin as is gluttony, greed, adultery, etc. and we sure aren't going to create specific forums to discuss those sins either.

I see you're back to doing what you seem to do best. Putting words in peoples mouths. No one here said or implied that anyone wanted to 'get rid' of you, but yet you make that accusation unfounded, just the same thing you did to me in other threads, accusing me of saying things i never even came close to.
And what, you think we want you off here because you have an opinion and speak it? Pay attention, this is a forum, that is the whole idea. For people to express their opinions.
Its funny you see no problem in disagreeing with others because you 'have a right to your opinion', but when someone expresses an opinion disagreeing with you, all of a sudden its a personal attack and you twist it into trying to keep you from having or expressing an opinion.
 
We don't create places for people to relate about their sin. We don't have a liars forum, fornicators forum, addict forum, or a rage forum. It's important to find gracious people to help us deal with our sin, but its more important that we come together in the name of Jesus than the label afforded us by our sin.
 
a gay forum no way like many others have said it is sin God says its sin unholy unrightous as christians we do not approve of anything at all that God States Clearly as sin God Said it That Settles it we can not a[prove or support the gay lifestyle or any other sinful life style as well.
 
Where should there be a safer place to discuss any topic, but somewhere where Christians gather? My expectation of brothers and sisters in Christ is that they are exceedingly hospitable, kind, patient, and above all, loving.

Having an open discussion in any forum or chat about any issue ought to be welcomed by those who are interested, and merely skipped over by those not interested. Providing viewpoints with support (evidence), can go a long way to helping us grow as people and as Believers - especially if those arguments are presented in an engaging way, rather than in anger and impatience.

It's true: ideas are powerful. That's why we should study to know what we believe, and be able to give an answer for our faith (which includes our worldview, I would argue) to anyone. You might be amazed at the kind of connections you can make with other people when you aren't threatened by ideas that are contrary to your own. When we have that basic trust and connection with another person, we often have greater influence in our ability to communicate. For me, based on my understanding of Jesus and his example, it's far more important for me to be able to say that I loved well, than that I angrily shut people out because they didn't agree with me.

Being kind to one another, and being known as Christians because of our love, does not mean we need to tolerate a gospel other than the one that saves us; it doesn't mean we adopt false teaching or compromise ourselves. We need to be a bit more secure in our faith and the One who saves us, and relate more to people without worrying about it.

Dare to have a difficult conversation, and do it with grace.

I'm personally rather interested in the discussion about sexuality. So many people are broken in this area of their lives in so very many different ways. And it is so deeply tied to personal identity. This is the kind of place where mature discussion can take place, and we can all grow.

That's what the man said, sounds to me he doesn't really appreciate my presence here, don't you think? To the best of my recollection I have never put words in anyone's mouth here, on the contrary, it's usually people like you that choose to misinterpret my words for some reason. Ofcourse i made a few, innocent little comments on your posts (this is a forum, that's the whole idea). You immediately took those comments personally though, and it seems now you want to take it out on me. Let's not make this thread about your personal frustrations with my few little comments, bro. So back to the topic please...
