Well, I'm sure I've seen this before on the forums but since it was voted on a few times, I figured I'd start a new one.

I know that we women can come across as rather perplexing and it can be difficult to understand the heart and intention behind what we do at times. To be honest, all women are different and one answer won't answer the question for all women, but maybe we can shed a bit more light for our manly type friends. ^_^

So fellas, ask away!

OR this could just be a spam friendly zone. :P

I just figured we should give you guys the opportunity to ask in a friendly environment. ;D

Why do you complain about men being too aggressive/forward/affectionate, but then if a guy is a gentleman, think he doesn't like you if he isn't affectionate too quickly?

Why do women not specify details when referring to something? Eg. They might say, "put that over there" and wave their hand in some general direction, instead of saying, "put that jug over by the sink" etc.

Why do so many women get snarky when you open the door to a building for them or offer your seat to them on a bus?

Why can women complain about all men to their girlfriends and go on a tirade about hating them but men can't respectfully complain (not the right word, I know) about women without being labelled a misogynist?

TinTin- If im waving my hand in the general direction of somewhere i want something to.go, i just expect or assume the guy knows what area i want the object. I know for myself i dont speak in details. I talk in very broad general terms, details are to frustrating.

Why would i need a door open for me, are my arms missing? If i can do something myself i prefer to do it.

I dont care if men complain about women.

Still waters- In my opinion men dont do balance very well their either hot or cold. They either with hold everything making you wonder what the heck is going on, or pour it all making you creeped out.

Nod, I think you're right. Men are details orientated, women generally aren't.
You have arms? Awesome! I merely do those things as a sign of respect. And I open doors for both genders. I certainly don't think women are beneath me.
Good.

Why do so many women get snarky when you open the door to a building for them or offer your seat to them on a bus? Depends on the woman, some women like those gestures, others don't.

Why can women complain about all men to their girlfriends and go on a tirade about hating them but men can't respectfully complain (not the right word, I know) about women without being labelled a misogynist? I don't know any rule out there that says men can't complain about their gf's. I have had guy friends complain to me about issues going on in their relationship. I think thats its a good thing to get it all out when talking to a friend.

Have you guys ever heard of the crown of all male/female etiquette rules where males are expected to stand up upon a female entering the room? Sounds a bit far-fetched if you ask me. There are some who practice it and others who wish to bring it back full-force.

That would make me crazy uncomfortable if someone stood when i came in a room.

If you take Noah from the Notebook (yeah, I know some guys are rolling their eyes lol). His character appeals to so many women. I think its because he's persistent, knows what he wants and goes after it. He's a gentleman, but not afraid to argue and challenge her. I'm not saying that he is the example of who men should be like though. Just that I think deep down inside, many women desire these qualities in a man. (not sure is the ladies on here will agree though)

Because we are usually multitasking and the tongue can't keep up with the brain.

Because they are immature and rude.

I don't complain or go on tirades about men. I think they are hilarious. Hopefully, men have a sense of humor about us as well. :)

I don't expect a man to rise when I enter the room, unless it is to greet me. I will, however, rise myself if an elderly person comes in. Just the way I was raised in the South.

no problem here I learned years ago... "Yes Dear"

That would get on my last nerve. :)

I would be far more patient with a guy who was trying to be polite than with someone grabbing my caboose. I would give grabby guy his fingers back as a sort of special end of date gift. His teeth I would keep. I make jewelry outta those.

Yes..........

I went somewhere once where this was practiced. I was at a long table with about 20 guys and when I got up to use the restroom, they ALL got up. O_O Not super comfortable in my opinion. Lets just let that tradition die...

Why do you measure a man on how well he treats his mom, and then get upset if he gives his mom high priority once you're in relationship with him, and/or call him a momma's boy if he is close to said mom?

You can tell a lot about a guy by the way he treats his mom. I think the problem comes in when the mom takes advantage of the son and manipulates him/interferes in his relationships, but I would never be rude enough to call someone a momma's boy.

I have a list longer than my arm.

Why do women feel intent on having 'the perfect man', whenever they are generally much too un-confident to feel like they can keep him?

Why do women hate eating so much, but love food so much?

Why do women desire a man who is 'manly', but get all feminist when he acts 'manly'?

Why do women find it impossible to believe that their man sees them as beautiful?

Why do women who are the most crazy about 'equality', tend to expect to be treated in the most high fashion?
