Wouldn't it be wonderful if every one followed the teaching of Jesus. We wouldn't need guns then would we. :)

They are harder to keep than the Ten Commandments by which we stand condemned already which is why we need to believe in Jesus for our salvation. Unfortunately some people believe salvation is only for the predestined when in reality all those who believe in Jesus who died for the "whosoever" are predestined for Glory and their salvation is assured. :)
But PS some believe it is easy to keep all of Christ's comamndments, I guess you and I are just not as far along the road as them-or possible a wee bit more honest:)

They're paraphrases. I'm sure you're ready to take offence or cry foul though.

But if you find them easy to keep, surely you will be judged more harshly when you break them. To whom much is given...........

Saints of course who obviously love the Lord and whose salvation is assured. What would your advice be to those who haven't accepted Jesus as their saviour?

It is easy. You just don't understand them. That list is a paraphrase of some of Christ's statements, not necessarily exact renditions of what was said and their meaning.

5 is dealing with legal matters, end disputes person to person, before they go to a mediator. I've called no mediator.
6 is no trouble to me
10 is neither any trouble. You just don't understand that loving you does not include coddling your false beleifs or holding your hand like a toddler, it requires me to do rather the opposite.
19 tells you to judge yourself by your own standards, don't be hypocricical. Many people, like you, use it as a 'get out of thinking free card' while it really just tells you not to expect of others you don't expect of yourself
28, I'm not sure where he's pulling that from. I suppose its when they where dealing with people those preaching Christ who where not part of the main group of apostles. It's not really applicable here.
31 I wouldn't rebuke you if I didn't care for what you thought. Remember, love is not just coddling.
34, what of it?
36 Is what I've been teaching the whole time.

It seems you're apt to take offence and attack rather than constructively add to a conversation. Either that or you simply don't know what PS was actually referencing.

But lies are in you so you see lies everywhere. Such is as it has been for this conversation as a whole.

But you have stated you look to every literal command of Christ in the Gospels, and it is easy for you to keep them all

I have tried clicking on the 'mpg' links and the first one is unable to connect and the other two sticks on a dll trying to open up. Would you try to get individual links?

I get my food from the supermarket. I get your point that animals have to be killed but I would like to say that farming which was being done as far back as Cain and Able has replaced the need for people to have guns. :)

from my original reply: wouldn't it be to seek God until God has rained righteousness upon that child of the rebellion? And then be led by His Spirit, and by which leading, one keeps the Law through love?

It is God who seeks, all we need to do is to accept him and then we are led by him.

Just a few verses on those who seek the LORD.

Psa_9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Psa_22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Psa_27:8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Psa_34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Psa_40:16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Psa_69:6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

Psa_83:16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

Psa_105:3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Psa_105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Psa_122:9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Pro_28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

Act_17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

You see there are people like Calvinists who say that depraved man will not seek God. This is answered for example by Jesus when he is talking to Nicodemus, Jesus says The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit." Joh 3:8.

So depraved man becomes aware of God but they are not saved and I am beginning to think that this is the origin of false religions. They believe in God but they do not know him and this is why it is so important that we then seek the Lord while he may be found.

So first we hear the still small voice like Samuel did in the Temple and then we need to seek his face and invite Him into our heart and life. To begin with we are empty vessels making lots of noise like the cults and then we feed on the milk as newborn babes coming onto the stronger meat as we walk and talk with the Lord.

What do you think?

Zone,

I listened to the video: Led by the Spirit Part 1 and was left confused about one particular thing and ask that you would clarify it.....I am just copying and pasting the notes I took while listening, so pardon the unorganized arrangement

bring (G71) = led, brought, was changed to carry (G5342) = to bear.

Those in the video basically said that Jesus is not guiding us, but is carrying us by His sovereign word of grace based on Hebrews 2:10 (it behooved Him...in bringing (carrying) many sons to glory...). they who teach that 'led' means subjective guidance has stripped away concrete objective hope that God wants to give us, etc.....

There final answer: to be carried by God to Himself.

Question: were they who were in the wilderness carried or led to the Promised Land?
