ECCL
We all know what you actually believe. A Christian, whether Jew or Gentile is required to have their son circumcised on the eighth day and to obey/follow all of the Mosaic law apart from burnt offerings. And you have also plainly stated a persons righteousness is obediance to the law.
Your problerm is, you know very well these beliefs go directly against what the Apostle Paul plainly taught, hence, your reluctance to state publically your private beliefs. As you feel you cannot state what you believe to be the truth, I will draw the obvious conclusions.
As you know, the leaders of the Jerusalem church, many of whom had been Christ's disciples met with Paul and Barnabas, and it was decided the Gentile converts be asked to obey/follow four Jewish laws, three of which it is fair to say were to appease Jewish legalists.
Therefore, according to your beliefs they were makiing decisions in direct opposition to God's commands, there's no way round that I'm afraid
So if you had consitency in your beliefs, as Peter, Paul and James were present at that meeting you would have no choice but to dismiss their Epistles, that's at least 20 books of the NT. Because obviously you could not accept the writings of people who failed so miserably(in your opinion) to tell the Gentile converts the commands God required them to follow.
And my only, and I mean only, reason for pushing this, is so people will not become crushed by the demands of people who do not follow what they require of others. That is my concern here.
Now this is what Paul wrote concerning people who stressed others must be circumcised:
See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!
12Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
13 Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh.
14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which
[b] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.
16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.
17 Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
I am fortunate, I have been a Christian for many years and would not be taken in by your deceptions, IT is my sincere hope others will not be either.
As you obviously are not prepared to answer simple questions put to you, of great importance relating to this thread I see no point in further discussion with you, it is up to others how they view your reluctance to respond to the oft put question
However, your silence is testimony to your impossible position scripturally
