Good point, seoul, I consider french fries to be vegetables. I'm also trying to figure out some way to get cheese into the vegetable category, but no luck so far...

We're always asking "what did you mean by that" when I think they usually mean exactly what they said. The one exception being "I'll call you" (which translates to "you'll never hear from me again")

A word of advice for chatters:
I've noticed that a lot of guys seemed emboldened by being able to hide behind their computer screen, and will say things to a woman in a chat room that they would probably never say in real life. I get PMed here fairly often because people are interested in my nickname. Sometimes it's other women, but usually it's men. I've been asked how 'far' I would go with someone and how 'far' I've gone with anyone, and just last night someone was looking at my pic and said I looked "a little 'big'." These have fallen very shortly after the hellos, how are yous, and so what do you dos. Seriously guys... imagine saying this kind of stuff to a woman that you just met somewhere. Would you say this stuff? No, she would slap you.
So please extend the same sort of etiquette you would use in the real world to the chat world. Thank you.

The only advice I have is BE YOURSELF!
There is nothing worse than thinking you know someone but then, as the relationship progresses, finding out that the person you thought you knew is NOTHING like what they said/acted/behaved. You should be completely honest. And don't ever change how you believe or your standards to try to impress or keep someone. If they are truly supposed to be in your life, they should be able to respect you enough to support all of who you are. God will bring the right person along, and you wont have to be anything but who you are to have them stay. Just trust God (which I know can be easier said than done)
As for other advice on the subject, guys - just because women may not dress as femanine or whatever, treat them like ladies. I had something like this happen the other night, and I realized most times, women are treated more like buddies then they are like ladies. You don't have to go crazy, but I for one would be very appreciative of a little more treatment like a lady.

Also don't lower yourself to trying to be what some girl wants - if she can not appreciate you for the individual and wonderful guy you are - then do not waste your time! If you feel the need to change, then there is something wrong. Of course its normal to be nervous and to try to impress us, but never go for a girl who is asking you to be anything other than yourself. Just say goodbye and wait for the girl that is going to recognize you for the wonderful person you are! Life is too short, and God didn't create you to change just for a girl.
Same goes for girls - beeee yourself!

OH! also just as a PS - I've noticed that a lot of ppl can be really nice and sweet in a chat room, but then after they've seen pictures its seems they kinda lose interest. In some cases, it could be nothing, but in a lot of cases (and i admit I've done this before, until God worked in my heart) it seems once they've seen what a person looks like and dont find them attractive, all communication is over.
both guys and girls - whether it be in the online community or in real life - do not let appearence change how you treat them. Do not let the fact that you don't find them attractive keep you from getting to know them. Maybe a lot of you don't deal with that, but if anyone does, ask God to help you see the true beauty in people. The most beautiful people are those that have beautiful hearts... Look beyond the skin, and get to know the heart.
I know as a girl, from personal experience, most times when we meet guys, it seems like they are sizing us up. Sometimes it feels like there is a scale in a guys head and I can almost watch it work. So guys, please give the young women you meet a chance - even to just make a new friend. Just because you don't think she is "hot" doesnt mean you should treat her as such. Treat her like a woman, and give her the respect she deserves.
Same goes for girls, treat guys with respect. Don't disregard them just because you don't think they are good looking.
I truly believe we should get to know the hearts of people, and not focus on the faces.
