SHOES! A man may be well dressed, but if his shoes are wrong, well, that's a turn off. So, I prefer men who actually do pay attention to their shoes as well.My sister and myself tend to get attracted to men who sport good shoes, and of course it's got to go with their attire. =D

i really dont get this,Harpy?

So I'm guessing that Harpy finds the simplicity of this image, the convergence of two of God's magnificent creations (The feather & the stone), the juxtapose of the strength of the stone and the delicacy of the feather, and the visual layout to be in its own ways attractive, either as a metaphor or as simply a picture.
Alternately this may be a reference to the old quote about the difference being the using of a whole chicken when a feather will do.
Either way, points for outside the box...
However, points forfeited if you now fail to provide a satisfactory explanation to go with this post, Harpy.

And yes, these are the arbitrary points that only I keep track of and that you may never know your balance on, but some day may attain enough points to cash in for a brownie. :p

I thought maybe Harpy was making reference to Forrest Gump. Maybe Forrest really inspires him because the love Forrest and Jenny shared was simple and yet very complex... much like the contrast of the white feather against the black stone.

I make some really wicked good brownies. The bottom layer is homemade brownies, the middle is a soft peanut butter mixture (of powdered sugar and peanut butter), and top layer is peanut butter/chocolate ganache. They are so unhealthy but so divine. I made them for my brother-in-law for Christmas because he loves them so much. I was always known for making brownies for church events ("Rachel Brownies" was what they were called) and this is a more decadent version.

I make pretty good desserts and I'm also fairly handy at making breakfast food as well (no, not cereal :P ).

Just sayin', fellas. :P I'd also be willing to share brownies with the ladies. :)

Rachel, If I weren't in the sate/status/situation that I'm in, I would accept this proposal of marriage. ;) :p

Subtle, very subtle. So your marriage would be based on God and brownies?

I have a fudge version of your peanut butter brownie recipe. It's so rich a piece is about 1 inch by a half inch. But it's reeeeeaaaaly yummy! :o

To be honest I've only found attraction to women I've been able to share a fantastic conversation with. I'd rather enjoy being around a person for the wonderful moments we share as opposed to being with someone who just looks good. Common interests, fun to chat with and a sense of humor go a LONG WAY with me.

Is that so? ;) Let's step into my office and talk of fudges and frostings.

Could not say it better.

Didn't you know? It's the basis of every great relationship. ;) I jest.

Yes, this. Looks fade (which is cliche but so true) the other things you listed do not. You have to be able to mentally connect with someone for it to last.

I was once told the "7 Hour Rule" by a PO I had two math classes with. We were the first people at that school to ever take Two math classes in one semester, but I'm derailing my own post... he said (and I'm not confirming his theory, just passing it along for your own assessment) that you will spend 8 hrs a day at work, and 8 sleeping, well, more like 5 sleeping, one commuting, one drinking your morning coffee, and one drinking your after work "coffee." In any case, this leaves 8 hours, one of which may on occasion be spent in some state that married people occasionally exist in. After that, there are 7 hours left in the day and if you two can't talk to each other for 7 hours a day for the rest of your life you might as well just save yourself the trouble and give her half your stuff then break up before ever getting married.

My opinion, it's imperfect, and worded in a less than pristine way, but there is some truth in it.

I think a man that can cook is very attractive, and it's even more attractive if he wants to cook with me.
