I'm just stating the way I see it. Not everything is always scientific.

Of coarse not thats my point some stuff is merely from our imagination, or selfish desires and our philosophical
position erected to hold to both.

did you look at any pictures yet?
have you made a decision on this issue based on a real examination of real evidence?
it's afternoon now and 3000 more abortions have been performed.
i would like to know your position please.

On what hell is truly like. Not just what anyone says it is like.

So you don't believe in God, but you DO believe in hell, hu? That's funny...

Hell is what it is, whatever anyone thinks of it, including you.

Yea, I've seen nasty pics.

Not sure what that's supposed to prove.

Haven't read most of the thread but just throwing in my two cents.

I don't see abortion as murder. However, I agree with almost everyone in that the number of abortions should be reduced, and we should be taking active steps to get there. I do not think abortion should be illegal because I see that leading to a lot more problems than solving any, but again we should be working to reduce the number of them.

Maybe a god exists or maybe one doesn't.

Maybe hell exists or mayb it doesn't.

Nothing is certain.

But that is where you are wrong. We can be certain that the Bible speaks the truth. We can be certain that Jesus rose from the dead, eye witnessed verified by history and the events that coincided within a very, very short time frame, all within the lifetime of those who were eyewitnesses. Jesus speaks about hell more then any one else in the Bible. He either speaks the truth or He does not,He either rose from the dead or did not,no matter how you want to slice it,dice it and put it in a blender there is still no in between.

Not my discussion and feel free to tell me to GTHO, but why can we be certain that the Bible speaks the truth?

Facts from history are one thing. The nature of "god" is another.

Besides, "eyewitnesses" can be faked.

There is one thing that's certain perhaps no one has told you yet,
try not to dismiss it... but rather embrace this fact
"Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord"
in heaven, on earth, and under the earth... Every knee
And on that day, we all will confess giving an account of ourselves to him
It is better to get right with him sooner ....than later
God Bless

Only to a point. One does not willingly die for a known lie. Especially 11 cowards that ran for their lives. Factor in their are two groups who would have done anything to disprove the resurrection,Peter is preaching in the very same city were Jesus was crucified 50 days later. And is making the claim that Jesus rose from the dead. The scribes and Pharisees knew where the tomb was along with Pilate. If the tomb was not empty all they had to do was say here is the body. If one takes all the facts and applies them the only logical conclusion one can come up with is that Jesus rose from the dead and is who He always said He is. (I will go back through all my notes and will start a new thread on that)
