Re: Wake up...

When it comes down to where a person starts using bible verses as a sword against the body
calling them worldly and unwise to simply prop themselves up then you know its getting nasty.
To then start calling them fools to prop themselves up is even nastier.

Oh the hypocrisy. You people, in your 'wisdom' think nothing of in your hearts condemning a person who stands on the plain words of Christ when he walked this earth, no oner led of the HolySpirit could ever do such a thing. Bowman refers to someone as (simple minded) he was given in response the appropriate scripture

Next if it hasnt happened already you will hear about how they are being persecuted for truth.

Although that is true, I don't believe I have thus far stated that

Mark i see you turned around a verse i used. Tell me why? would Jesus say the Father reveals things
unto babes? You think that applies to YOU?

Oh I didn't turn it around Abiding,at all, just quoted the truth of it

Why would you think that? Any carnal minded person would say Jesus was merely a man. You sure
dont need a revelation for that. So why are YOU using that verse? It simply doesnt apply to you!!

who believes Jesus is merely a man?

What have you got that was hidden? Nothing!!
Unfortunately a few of you(only a few) on this website do consider yourselves wise in your own eyes.
As I have previously said, you make demands neither Christ, Paul, Peter, James, or John made, also demands nearly all the Trinitarian ministers would not make from the pulpit, neither would nearly all of their congregations. You therefore show your spiritual immaturity, for the vast majority, even on this website do not make the immature comments a few of you do.

You try and use human reasoning to explain the spiritual, and some put up 'quotes' of the wise and learned(scholars and theologians) they learnt from, thus showing they rely on them, and not the Holy Spirit for truth.
but ultimately Trinitarianism itself stands against you people
For if the Holy Spirit could lead a person to contradict the requirement of belief to inherit eternal life, that Christ himself laid down as to who a person must believe him to be to inherit eternal life by adding to it, then the Spirit of God contradicts the word of God, in Trinitarian terms God contradicts God and the belief collapses
Unfortunately you people are so blinded in your ignorance of the Spiritual reality, you cannot understand or accept that simple truth

Trinitarin rendered scriptures...

For the simple-minded 'English-only' people like brother Mark...

Here, The 'only true God' is coupled to Jesus Christ via the word 'AND'...as Jesus is the 'only true God'...

And this is eternal life, that they may know You,the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. (John 17.3)

This same 'AND' coupling is witnessed here...as Jesus is 'our great God AND Savior...
Looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, (Titus 2.13)

Talk to scripture.

John 17. 3 is your centerpiece, after all.

If you can't defend that verse...well...then you have nothing...

Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[SUP][a][/SUP]; [SUP]20 [/SUP]and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”[SUP][
1Cor3:19-21

[/SUP]At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
Luke10:21

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

You avoided the question. What revelation did you receive? Why did you quote the verse?

In truth I don't know what you are on about Abiding, but anyway, I admit to not trying that hard to understand. Yolu people are a very tiny minority in Chrisdtendom, who make statements that the overwhelming majority would never make, even your ministers from the pilpits.

But this is the internet, and many who think themselves wise in their own eyes through their strving and effort to learn of scholars and theolgians show their true ignorance by statements they make

If you mean me, they are doing that on their own, they don't need any help

Deuteronomy 4
Idolatry Forbidden
15“Therefore watch yourselves very carefully. Since you saw no form on the day that the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, 16beware lest you act corruptly by making a carved image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, 17the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, 18the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth. 19And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven. 20But the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be a people of his own inheritance, as you are this day. 21Furthermore, the LORD was angry with me because of you, and he swore that I should not cross the Jordan, and that I should not enter the good land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance. 22For I must die in this land; I must not go over the Jordan. But you shall go over and take possession of that good land. 23Take care, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make a carved image, the form of anything that the LORD your God has forbidden you. 24For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Psalm 41:4
I said, "O LORD, have mercy on me; heal me, for I have sinned against you."

Psalm 103:3
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

Psalm 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Luke 7:22
So he replied to the messengers, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

Exodus 4:11
The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

So, you abandoned your centerpiece, John 17.3....no surprise there.

So what do you want to do with your new Trinitarian rendered scriptures?

Just keep slavishly reposting them ad-nausea without defending them either...
