Re: Run from it...

Isa 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
So, Jesus is also know as everlasting Father?

Re: Run from it...

As God, Jesus is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. One God.
It may help if you explain to them you are not a Trinitarian PS.
That is what Pedro told me you told him

Serious question, are you a oneness Pentecostal?
Or is their another denominational title you would come under as you are not a Trinitarian?

Re: Run from it...

What would you class yourself as then?
Is there a denominational title that your views reflect?
I'm mainstream Protestant and am happy to worship with CofE, Methodist, Baptist etc. The only way I differ from some is that I believe in the gifts of the Spirit.

Re: Run from it...

Yes, if we worship Jesus we are worshipping God.
So if we worship Jesus and say that He is not God, would that not make one who worships the Son as not being God as one with two gods?

I believe in the gifts of the Spirit, I just wondered if there was a title of belief that reflects your beliefs if you are not oneness pentecostal or Trinitarian, that was all

No, if anyone denies that Jesus is God it makes them a heretic.

No, if anyone denies that Jesus is God it makes them a heretic.

Does that include Christ AND Paul too?

For Christ said only the Father was the one true GOD

And Paul said:

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

So, not only does that not make one with two gods an idolater, but also an heretic. All the while we are told that there is but one true God, they continue to deny our everlasting Father who is said be the Son.

If you have seen me, you have seen the Father......Makes sense to me

Re: Run from it...

So, I guess next you are going to tell me that Jesus, who we know as the Lord, as the Life, as the King, as the Judge can be understood from Jer 10:10 as being the true God?

Jer 10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
That's right...
