Exd 3:14 KJV - And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exd 6:3 KJV - And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
Isa 12:2 KJV - Behold, God [is] my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH [is] my strength and [my] song; he also is become my salvation.
Excellent JL.

I don't think Mark wanted to know unfortunately.

Oh yes they did, they said we had to believe in Jesus and they told us who Jesus is.

Act 4:10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by him this man is standing before you well. This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Why is it that the name Jesus was never prophesied in the entire OT? Only the son of a virgin is mentioned, and his name is Immanuel.

Immanuel = "God with us" or "with us is God"
Jesus = "Jehovah is salvation"
Christ = "anointed"

You theologians and scholars are strange people, Christ said eternal life is knowing the father, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom he sent. John said, if we believe jesus is the Son of God, God lives in us, and we in God

But you people are so wise you can usurp the words of Christ and John by adding to them, while insisting we stand on scripture

The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise are futile

Mark knows the scriptural requirement for salvation and stands on it, you refuse to accept it.

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes
There is more hope for a fool than for him

We need to remember that it was the Triune God that spoke to Moses at the Burning bush.

Abraham saw and spoke to Jesus in the OT.

Good stuff...

Absolutely Bowman

It is not written In Scripture that it became official church policy at the council of Nicea that Christ is God Himself

This was written long before any 'council'....deal with it...

Titus
2.13

How many people do you believe are God PS?

If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
John 20:23

You people who make extra biblical demands believe you are so wise in your own eyes don't you

You are just as bad

But about the Son he says,“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.

therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.”[SUP][[/SUP]

Mark is correct in post 1630. But, no one can say otherwise that only God can give life and that Jesus is that Life and He, Jesus, gives it to whomever He desires.

That's something else.
You are lost in a world of believing you have much knowledge PS. And you believe if a person stands on the plain words of Christ when he walked this earth they are condemned and a heretic. You people are so proud of what you think you know aren't you

I will have to look into it, I know it is true on a human level but my memory is telling me there is something else.

Anyway I am putting Mark on ignore.

Probably the most widely known verse in the Book and no one has pulled it apart to find it's true meaning.

Jhn 3:10 KJV - Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Jhn 3:11 KJV - Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
Jhn 3:12 KJV - If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things?
Jhn 3:13 KJV - And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] (separate from the afore) the Son of man (humanity) which is in heaven. (The kingdom of Heaven) Mt 3:7, 4:17, 5:3, 10, etc. all of which refer to the Body.
Jhn 3:14 KJV - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man (humanity) be lifted up:
Jhn 3:15 KJV - That whosoever believeth in him (humanity) should not perish (enter into death), but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 KJV - For God (the Father) so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (Jehovah), that whosoever believeth in him (the Father) should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jhn 3:17 KJV - For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Jhn 3:18 KJV - He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jhn 3:19 KJV - And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Hbr 2:9 KJV - But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

This is a warning. If we stop at the humanity, (as great as he is), we have stymied our growth and the development of our spirituality. Jehovah was not created lower than any other than the Father. We must learn of the truth of that Body and what it allows us to achieve.

You justed used even more Trinitarian rendered scriptures to prove my point...thanks!
