For anyone who likes instrumental music...

The Love Theme from St. Elmo's Fire (David Foster) is fantastic, as well as:

Chariots of Fire (Vangelis). I hadn't heard this song in forever but it was playing at a store I went into... I used to be able to play it on the piano decades ago (literally) and have now been playing it for the past 2 days nonstop... (It was played by the London Symphony Orchestra at the 2012 Olympics as well...)

Yes, it's that good!!! :)

Also have to add Limahl's Neverending Story, as well as Is Your Love Strong Enough and Loved by the Sun from the movie Legend.

More important was the guest pianist... Epic.

Well, I did mention Harold Faltermeyer (who wrote the Top Gear Anthem) in the Beverly Hills Cop post...does that mean I already sorta-roundabout skunked JimJimmers on the Top Gear Anthem as well?

No. It doesn't count. My thread, my rules! :p

It's not so much the song. I just like Johnny 5 :P

This was probably one of the few of the first movies that provoked an emotion response from me when I was a kid. (I was going to post the exact video) Stupid song. Stupid tear ducts.

Cruel Summer (Bananarama) - Karate Kid (1984)

One of my favorite songs featured in an 80's movie is the song "Stand By Me" from the same-titled 1986 movie "Stand By Me" directed by Rob Reiner.

I am personally convicted not to recommend the movie itself, because of the vast amount of swearing in the movie (I am actually surprised that back then a movie with child-actors cursing was even allowed to be made). If the swearing was never in that movie, it would be one of my all-time favorite movies. Oh well!!!

Enjoy the song!!!

Technically not a song, but I consulted with myself, and I told me I would allow it this one time.
