...i can not believe what i am seeing here.

actually, i can....THIS is the great apostasy.
THIS is the lie, and the falling away, and the Denial of the Lord Who bought them.

another gospel and another christ.
It all starts with tolerance and "dialogue" combined with a goofy, self-chosen and unbiblical "luuuuuv" concept.
[h=3]Prov.17[/h][15] He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

Jeremiah 31
31
“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

32
not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.

33
“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

34
“They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

this whole chapter may be pertinent...

maybe we should also answer this question---

who, according to the New Testament, is Israel?

In the same chapter this is what the Lord tells Jeremiah

Jeremiah 31

31 “At that time,” declares the Lord, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”
[SUP]2 [/SUP]This is what the Lord says:
“The people who survive the sword
will find favor in the wilderness;
I will come to give rest to Israel.”

[SUP]3 [/SUP]The Lord appeared to us in the past,[SUP][a][/SUP] saying:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]I will build you up again,
and you, Virgin Israel, will be rebuilt.
Again you will take up your timbrels
and go out to dance with the joyful.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Again you will plant vineyards
on the hills of Samaria;
the farmers will plant them
and enjoy their fruit.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]There will be a day when watchmen cry out
on the hills of Ephraim,
‘Come, let us go up to Zion,
to the Lord our God.’”

[SUP]7 [/SUP]This is what the Lord says:“Sing with joy for Jacob;
shout for the foremost of the nations.
Make your praises heard, and say,
Lord, save your people,
the remnant of Israel.’

[SUP]8 [/SUP]See, I will bring them from the land of the north
and gather them from the ends of the earth.
Among them will be the blind and the lame,
expectant mothers and women in labor;
a great throng will return.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]They will come with weeping;
they will pray as I bring them back.
I will lead them beside streams of water
on a level path where they will not stumble,
because I am Israel’s father,
and Ephraim is my firstborn son.

The questions in my previous posts were not meant to be rhetorical. I have no formal schooling in theology nor church history of be sure of the correct answers. Yet they have elicited no response. With all due respect, they were not directed to zone.

who is Israel?
who is in covenant with God in the way above right now?

is there any way to be in covenant with God apart from the way proscribed in the New Testament, namely,
through the Lord Jesus?
(any other Name under heaven by which we might be saved?)

Here are the questions that I have asked before. No response?????

How much room do the scriptures leave for soteriological difference between Jew and Gentile?

Does anyone have any scripture references where salvation is given to first-century Jews who rejected Jesus Christ but believed in "Messiah"?

Do we have historical instances where Messianic Jews accepted into their congregations Jews who rejected Jesus Christ but believed in Messiah?

Are you saying that Romans teaches that natural revelation and human conscience provide a witness that makes it unnecessary to believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and dwelt among us? Do you believe that people who believe in the Christ, but who deny that Jesus is that Christ, have sufficient light and need no warning from the church?

Theapon you deny what the bible clearly teaches about salvation.You deny most of the book of Romans and do your scripture twisting.But scripture in its context totally rebukes your heresy, you deny that jews today need to hear the gospel like the gentiles do,because in your heresy they are saved like us without knowing about Jesus and the cross.Your heresy denies the gospel.
No, I do not deny a jot or tittle of God's Word, but I do indeed disagree with your interpretation of it. Of course you would call that heresy, but it is impossible to get people to see who are determined to keep their eyes closed. <smile>

I've said many times, go to ellisskolfield.com, download the 2013 edition of the Bible prophecy Study Guide on the home page, prove it wrong and then declare my heresy on here. I'm laughing my head off at you guys because I never hear another peep.

SOME Jews are saved. SOME Gentiles saved. Who of them believes.
We are one people serving the One, the true living God. :)
Read Hebrews lately?
Christ's blood testified of the NEW COVENANT, which makes Jews and Gentiled 'grafted' as followers of Jesus.
You do know this Scripture, cpr, don't leave me breathless of this truth, no?
Really, Cpr, really, therupon believes Jews don't need to believe the gospel ? "For God so loved the WORLD.... eternal life.'
Really, you really want to slander his words like that??/?
Hi Brother. I have quoted the following few verses on here until I'm blue in the face. It is really comical to watch those who disagree, tippie-toe and dance around them, trying to come up with some cockamamie excuses of why they aren't so . . .

Romans 11:8 "According as it is written, God hath given them (the Jews) the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; unto this day."
Romans 11:11 "I say then, Have they (the Jews) stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy."
Romns 11:28-29 As concerning the gospel, they (the Jews) are enemies for your (Gentiles) sakes: but as touching the election (God's sovereign choice), they (the Jews) are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable".

Look you guys who claim I'm a heretic, why don't you just believe the Bible?

The correct way to exegete Scripture is to find ways to reconcile verses that appear to disagree, rather than using one verse to disprove another. It's all God's word!!!

Great scripture Blaine

[SUP] [/SUP]“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit[SUP][a][/SUP] of grace and supplication. They will look on[SUP][b][/SUP] me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. [SUP]11 [/SUP]On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. [SUP]12 [/SUP]The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, [SUP]13 [/SUP]the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, [SUP]14 [/SUP]and all the rest of the clans and their wives.
Zech10:12:10-14

Ch13:1-3
On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity. [SUP]2 [/SUP]“On that day, I will banish the names of the idols from the land, and they will be remembered no more,” declares the Lord Almighty. “I will remove both the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.[SUP]3 [/SUP]And if anyone still prophesies, his father and mother, to whom he was born, will say to him, ‘You must die, because you have told lies in the Lord’s name.’
FULFILLED.

Dual-covenant theology is a Christian view of the Old Covenant which holds that Jews may simply keep the Law of Moses, because of the "everlasting covenant" (Genesis 17:13) between Abraham and God expressed in the Hebrew Bible, whereas Gentiles (those not Jews or Jewish proselytes) must convert to Christianity or alternatively accept the Seven Laws of Noah to be assured of a place in the World to Come.

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. [SUP]26[/SUP]And so all Israel will be saved,

I know I am at a disadvantage having not read of the scholars and theologians you have, but I'll just stick with the simple scriptures, and leave you in your world of acadamia

Good questions. The church today teaches doctrinal salvation rather than heart conversion. In other words, if you know the four spiritual laws and say the sinners prayer (or whatever the church claims is the proper ritual), then bingo, you're saved because you have jumped through the approved hoops. Problem is, it isn't true.

It took me decades to see it, but salvation has absolutely nothing to do with doctrinal head knowledge, everything to do with having a repentant, humble and contrite heart towards God, a sometimes rare commodity here.

Now if only i was as wise as you are, I guess I would go around telling people they were condemned for standing on the plain words of Christ when he walked this earth

Now of course this is only my opinion, and I am certainly not infallible, but to me, your world is simply one of theological reasoning of the little grey cells, seems no more than that to me Zone, but like I say, that's just my opinion

well Mark,
you can answer for the idolatry of making Jesus Christ a created entity.
