If a seed is not a living thing, that means it's dead. So, how can a living thing come from a dead seed?

Actually seeds contain an embryo that is capable of producing a plant. Therefore there is life in it. Seeds can lay dormant for a while til the conditions are right for it to become active and grow. So techinically a seed is a living thing.

your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:16

139:13 For you created my inmost being;you knit me together in my mother’s womb

God knew us when we didn't even have a formed body yet. This is a pretty good indication that there is likely a soul before birth. Even before our bodies are formed.
We do not exist until fertilization happens, so this doesn't mean he knew us before we were concieved. This means there is life in the womb. The unborn IS human, and they have a soul.

Also, science cannot prove the existence of souls. Science deals with the physical. A soul is not physical. The only answer to when the unborn has a soul can be found in the bible.

youre also dealing with a god that is omniscient and omnipresent. For all we now that verse means he sees our futures. Far too many ways to interpret it and lock it into meaning embyros have souls. Especially when ancient greek used the same word for soul and breath which furthers my view that life starts at birth/breath of life. Even God breathed adam's soul/life into him...again breath

Adam was created out of dust to a fully formed man. He was never a zygote, embryo, fetus, or a newborn. God had to breathe life in to him. He was formed as a complete adult male according to Genesis. He was NEVER EVEN BORN.
Conception is totally different. Life begins at conception. If it didn't then it never would grow

Of course he sees our futures. A body without a spirit/soul is dead right(James 2:26)? There is no future if you have no soul. There's no life. If the scriptures said he knew us before we were born, and before our bodies were even formed then yes it is likely that even a zygote has a soul.

The Bible has the answers to what is and isn't science too :) The Bible also sets the limits to remind us what is not science and what is human opinion. But thats another topic.

For now: Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of the salutation sounded in mine ears the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

If the Bible says a baby leaps for joy then obviously the baby is leaping for joy.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Just for extra because I happened upon it:
1Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

You can either learn from the Word of God, or the world, you can't serve 2 masters. All creation is God's.

because nothing in the bible was either written symbolically. It must all be 100% literal?

There is the worldly type of principle and there is a spiritual principle.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

So when John was in the spirit and saw, "four living creatures, having each one of them six wings, are full of eyes round about and within," was that literal? Do you know of any literal creatures that have eyes all over them, even inside of them?

So far I saw 2 of them.

1. Is Abortion Murder? That one even has 22 pages of comments. Why is this even a question among Christians?

The other one is of a personal nature to the poster.

Is it my imagination, or is there a lack of maturity among Christians today that they come up with questions that really shouldn't be questions?
When you are personally exposed to such a decision as abortion or life, be it yourself or through a loved one, you might not feel it's a rhetorical question. Even if it's for 5 seconds you will have that question in your mind.

so what is conception? :) The formation of a child in the mother's womb. Thus ensues debate on birth control.

Yes, for sure. It's obvious to anyone who isn't a liar that abortion IS murder.
