What drives you?
I feel that the hardest parts in life for me are the ones where everything is normal, or consistent. If things were really bad or really good in life, it drives you to fight, or to feel joy. It's meaningful. What drives you to keep going (work, school, relationships, etc) when things become monotonous? This is one of my worst fears in life- the everydayness of things.
I used to have this one nightmare (I believe that I mentioned it once on here) as a child. I'm in this dark void of nothingness on a platform of a rollarcoaster, and I am always convinced to sit in one of the carts and when I do, the cart fills up with cement all the way to my neck so I can't move. The cart begins to move along the track, and I am continue to follow the same track around and around, up and down in the void for eternity. The horror of that! A personal hell.
When things get normal like they are now and I feel stuck in school and work, unsure of my future, I feel the same panic as I do in that nightmare. In the past, I have quit jobs a lot when this feeling sunk in. I think I get antsy because I feel trapped.
Has anyone else felt something similar to this?
