was he not made King also?
let's see....
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Acts 13:23
Of this man’s [king David's] offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised.
did God bring to Israel from the House of David, a Lord, a Savior, the Messiah as He promised?
it says He did...not that He will later, or that His Plans were thwarted.
it says He did what He PROMISED.
so did God make Jesus King also, or do we make Jesus the "king of our hearts"?
Matthew 2:2
and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
were the Magi wrong?
they said Jesus was born a King.
and they worshipped Him.
did they just make Him "king of their hearts"?
Matthew 21:5
Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'"
what went wrong? did Israel not know?
did everybody get it wrong?
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
no, it says God told them this would happen.
and that the King would come.
what did The King come bringing to Israel?
Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he
did Jesus do everything He was supposed to do?
did the people have advance knowledge their Lord and Messiah and Savior would come?
was it foretold to them while they were in captivity awaiting their Deliverer?
Daniel 9
24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
if Daniel 9 is not fulfilled, you do not have a Lord of your life, no king in your heart, and no salvation.
and this all went TO ISRAEL FIRST.
those who remained and entered the new Covenant he made with them remained and we know them as the Church.
those who didn't remain were cut off.
gentiles were grafted in.
One faith, One Lord, One people, One church, One Plan, One Gospel.
does anything at all that is in this post suggest to you that Israel or anyone else has anything remaining that God did not fulfill on THEIR behalf?
please tell me what the future 1,000 years IS FOR.
