God created a man just for you? I thought we were created for God? Sorry, but there is no biblical basis for the 'soul mate', or 'the one' or someone being created for another person.
I see in another thread you would not be happy being single, if that's what God wanted for you. Can you say you are truly spiritually ready to be in a marriage when you're finding your happiness in marriage and not God?
I'd like to be married, but i'm not basing my happiness on the idea. I'd rather do my best to enjoy my life and be happy where God has me, even if its not what i want. I used to think like you. All that came out of it was being miserable and wasting my life.
Much of the more serious chat in the singles forums here are about learning to be content being single. Hopefully you can get something out of those talks.
What ugly said is terse but it's 'truth,' too, and, we should welcome 'truth,' God says that He will make marriage a great thing, but He is the one who will put marriage together.
I'm not married, never been, never had, OK, stopping there, but I will say this, I am WAITING on Him, and, God does say in Matthew 10, that what He has brought together, let no one tear asunder (apart). So, we are to KNOW that God is who brings us a partner, and, what I did like of the OP was that she is wanting prayer that God will bring her a partner.
That is good, we are to pray to God in our lives, but, again, more truth, at least, the best example I can think of, is not our praying for a certain someone but instead praying for a certain Someone, if you will, to show us His will that is perfect for our life to follow Him. Afterall, it may seem that life is all about 'love' but it's really much more than that, it is all about living our lives to give glory to God. "Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
And, 'love' is a huge part of that, as 1 Cor. 13 says, better to have 'love' than 'faith' or 'hope' even, love, indeed, conquers a lot, but, please keep in mind, miladies, seeking a man for love, but only one love conquers all, His. Because He loved us, and, sent His Son to die for us, we can be with the promise of the 'peace' of having Him in our life forevermore

Sorry, sheyprincess, that you felt scolded by Ugly , he meant well, he meant 'truth.'
And, we all know, 'the truth will set you free.' And, challenges are good, they make us grow. Without challenges, we don't grow. It takes faith to get through challenges and, for Christians, that faith will come through 'faith in Him.' (Phil 3: 8,9)
