The following Psalm is a poetic and profound rendition of this understanding without words. Sometimes I think this is what language will be come the Kingdom; it is nothing less than perfection and beauty.....

Psa 19:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Psa 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Psa 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Psa 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Psa 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Psa 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Psa 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

Psa 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

 
None of what you post about the deep things, the profound things will ever excuse teaching against the commandments the Father has given us as guides for our good behavior. None of this is reason to rescind the Ten Commandments. The ten, as they are called are not offensive to anyone except the enemy, and he has been defeated for us by the Savior, Yeshua. Many today believe because Shabbat may be translated as rest, and it may be, that it means the rest Jesus affords us is the Sabbath. In His teaching to come unto Me for I will give you rest, He is refering to His teachings being and easy yoke and a light burden as opposed to the teachings of the hypocrites of His time with us in this age. No where in the Gospels or elsewhere in the New Testament is there a teaching abolishing the commandments. The only teaching to do such is the revisionist gospel of current teachers of mischief who have crept in to the assemblies. You will not find this teaching against the commandments in the Word. Also the seventh day is to be holy as long as time is measured. Holy just means consecrate or separate, nothing mysterious about it.

Jaume, I have pointed to something that is part of the deep things in God because it is not of the letter that we are now under but the spirit which has paved the way for us to understand that which is truly spiritual to begin with and not physical or of the letter. You are right in saying that the Law of God hasn't been abolished for the Law continues to lead people to Christ to this day but now those born of God have died to it which is a huge difference and we are not under it anymore but that is in respect to the letter! We have died to the law that we may belong to Christ and follow after His commands the Law of Christ which fulfill the Law of God. God's entire Word is deep and profound! We are now revealed that adultery committed in the heart is the same as the physical act, thoughts of stealing as stealing in itself, thoughts of coveting as coveting in itself, offering lip service is taking God's name in vain, having anything before God in our hearts which is idolatry is the same as the physical act that can be observed literally, hating our brothers is the same as murder etc. The Sabbath is no different it has always pointed to a more glorious rest we would have in Christ, in fact, even from the beginning (Genesis 1) it has done this! All these profound truths were revealed by Christ through the Spirit of God comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. Obedience is of the heart Romans 6:17 we are circumcised inwardly not outwardly which is of the letter Romans 2:29.


The two greatest commands to love God with all or heart, mind and soul and to love our neighbors as ourselves are fulfilled in the following two commands given by Christ. John 6:28-29 28 "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." This covers the first great command for since we cannot offer God any dead works which are produced by the letter because if we stumble at one it results in breaking the Law as a whole and that offering is blemished which is unacceptable. But in Christ we can offer our bodies as spiritual sacrifices before God Romans 12 but this is in the spirit where our flesh was crucified with Christ for sinning under the letter yet we did receive condemnation but not in our spirit but our flesh was condemned Romans 8:1-4.

The second great command is to "Love your neighbor as yourself" and this is fulfilled in the other command given by Christ which is the Law of Christ. Notice that Christ states a new commandment that on the surface seems to be the same as Leviticus 19:18 which is "Love your neighbor as yourself" BUT actually it's a bit deeper because Jesus states "Love others as I HAVE LOVED YOU" thus a sacrificial love that requires death to the flesh. This is the LAW OF CHRIST now written in our hearts if we are born again in the Spirit of God.

God wants to enlarge our hearts (Psalm 119:32). The love of God has been poured out in our hearts but it still requires that we ask God to enlarge our hearts daily since we are constantly battling with our flesh. We know that Love is the fulfillment of the Law and Paul was a prime example of how God enlarged his heart throughout his ministry and how God also longs to enlarge ours as well. (Philippians 1:7, 2 Corinthians 6:1-13; 11:24-28) We are knitted together in love (Colossians 2:2) just as David and Jonathan were knitted or united together in love so should the Body of Christ be in the same way. We are each other’s joy, crown of rejoicing and glory (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20). We live to see others firm in Christ! (1 Thessalonians 3:8) Christ gave us the Law of Christ John 13:34-35 and John 15:12. We are to love as HE LOVED us which was a sacrificial love. Jesus said "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 There are many that have literally laid down their lives for others for the sake of the Gospel mostly in 3rd world countries but prior to that ultimate act of love they were already dying to self/flesh carrying their cross and loving others despite being insulted by them, taken advantage of, beaten on etc. yet winning some of them over for the sake of the Gospel. Again "Jesus said Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." We do just that when we abide in Christ and live and walk after the spirit, choosing to love the unlovable, the homeless, the poor, the sick, those imprisoned etc. This is done by walking as Jesus walked which was spirit not flesh. "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:35

The Holy Spirit gives life to the written word (code.) The written Word is Jesus Christ when the Holy Spirit is teaching. To say there is a new way paved by the Holy Spirit to the deeper things, the more profound wisdom of God while ignoring what is written is dangerous at best. Yes, we are given to understand many things, but as for general new teachings, that would fall under the heading of the News taught us by Jesus, the Good News for which He suffered and died in order for us to receive Salvation by His Blood.

If you are content and have a clear conscience in the sight of our Father with what you believe you understand, this is being sinless, however you will be hard pressed to find others to become your followers on this basis, since the Good News, the only Good News, was delivered once for all by Jesus Christ. He made assurances for all who believe Him not to become tangled in any other Gospel in giving His Holy Spirit to all who come to Him.

All I can say is carefully seek God in prayer and test what I am saying reading and comparing the verses I have cited. Keep in mind that the same John who wrote the Gospels is the same John who wrote the epistles and Revelation and in His Gospel He has defined what commandments he was talking about and has mentioned them in the Gospel he wrote. Context is always key. I am not ignoring the written word nor am I advocating that anybody should do this. The written Word has always been pointing to the Living Word of God who is Jesus Christ and His testimony whom again John wrote is the spirit of prophecy. In the end those who have understood the Word of God in the spirit has not neglected not one iota but rather has embraced it to the fullest capacity in Christ in which one day we will see COMPLETELY!

I will continue reading the Word, praying and meditating on It, Yahweh willing, until Yeshua returns or until I go to sleep with my fathers, whichever comes first. As a student of His Word these many years, all I can do is to continue in this endeavor, as do all who believe Yeshua. What I am given to understand in this study is a gift, and as is with all others I cannot seize the truth, I must receive it. I have learned from people considered illiterate, while many who are very studied and intellectual tend to confuse the clarity of the Word. The approach of a child will always be my manner in approaching our Father's wisdom to learn. Any other approach is vanity.

I might suggest when you wish anyone to answer to your posts that you bring up one point at a time and restrict your quotes to one or two. More tends to lend to voluminous and somniferating text by which few can abide. Thank you. You are in my prayers.

If we follow Christ, why would we decide to follow what men say and not what Christ says? Paul said the day we choose as the Sabbath is not the most important thing. Is that a reason not to follow God but follow men?

Men decided that we could follow the pagan way of worship because it was, they said, the day Christ rose from the dead. Men said. God didn’t say that.
If we follow the law of love, that leads us to love of God and Christ, wouldn’t that also lead us into following Him with faith in all He leads us toward?

God only blessed one day not seven. If Jesus is our rest it will be shown by keeping His rest. If we love God inwardly it will be shown outwardly, we are to worship God in spirit (our spirit) and in truth.
 
God blessed the 7th day and this blessing has not been removed. God has not blessed any other day. We cannot keep a day holy that God has not made holy.
 
The sabbath is a day of rest from our work week. A time to fellowship, break bread, pray together and focus on the Lord. I think that people don't know how to rest in Him. Everything is centered around work and making money and we forget where our jobs and salary comes from. I don't do anything that has to do with making money on the Sabbath. If I am working on an art project as a gift to someone than that is different, but if it is going to get sold I don't work on it. It is a day of Shalom. It is peaceful and still and I love it. I thank God that He would think of such a day to give us. It took me many years to get to this point , but I am where I need to be and it only gets better. I pray you will enjoy many many more Sabbaths. Shalom and thank you for this post.

How long did God say His Sabbath and feast days were "physically" to be kept?

Well just putting out there. who worked more on the Sabbath the Priest or the people. The very ones who taught to do no work on the Sabbath did more work than anyone. Bloody smoky work. Jesus is our Sabbath and thank God.
 
The Ten Commandments are the Law, and it is not by Law that we are saved.

Who on this topic has said we are saved by our own works keeping the Law? We are saved by grace and grace keeps the Law. If you are speeding while driving your car and pulled over by the police and he lets you off that is grace. Would you then after being shown grace go and continue speeding or keep the Law? Grace keeps the Law.

Who has suggested that we are saved by the law? We are saved by grace through faith. The question is still if grace gives us a free card to ignore and abandon the ten commandments? As much as I look in scripture I cannot find that.

We are set free and use our Liberty as children that Love and Obey their wonderful Heavenly Father.
 
Hi,
i wonder. Do we have as a younger of Christ Jesus do keep the Sabbath? Look what Jesus says. The question for me is. Is the sabbath day for sure friday night till saturday night or can we choose it and do we have to hold all the informations and commands for that day. Till today i have not find the 100% answer because i do not understand it out from the bible. Have a great day brothers in christ and sisters in christ. I hope that someone can help me out.
