hugsssss and more hugsssssssss my friend lost her husband 15 years ago, and they were married a while, shes almost in her 60's and well she met someone last Dec. he lovesssssssssss her its so cute. but she felt the same for a lil while, then said rather wait than have the wrong one. I truely dont care im satisfied with the way god has provided, my love died in Oct. maybe i dont want anything becuase im still in love, or because how can anyone compete with something so WOW. I dont know. I hope im not insensitive to the you or others feel. Because not everyone is like me. BUT ill pray for ya!
I would like to sincerely thank everyone here for being so honest. I know different things work for everyone but some people who put on their "Jesus mask" and say, "Oh, being alone with the Lord is such a blessing!" and either aren't saying what's really in their hearts or else can't see how much some of us are hurting truly drives me up the wall.

As most of you know, I was married at 23 to someone whom I felt was my dream person fallen from the sky. It ended when I was 25 and he left for someone else. I have truly never been the same ever since, and not in a good way. People told me, "Oh, you're so young... Don't even worry about it!" Whatever. Now that A DECADE AND A HALF have gone by, I have slowly, painfully, and unnervingly come to the realization that several more could go by, and my life could easily end without finding someone. I've filled the time with everything "the good Christians" told me to do--Bible study, prayer, classes, volunteer work, ministries, taking care of kids and other people... And every night, for several thousands of nights now, I leave these people with their dates, spouses, and families... and go home alone.

And I suppose I'm supposed to say, "God wants only the best for me!" and "Whatever is God's will!!!"

Sorry. That's not me. All I can manage for now is a very honest, often angry, and very sad, "Whatever."

really im at peace with it, from the day he died, all i know is i wanna live a life, god would be satisfied with I wanna help edify my fellow brothers and sisters in christ, and show unbelievers a lil slice of heaven! xoxoxox
Am so sorry to hear about your loss!! :( May God bless and comfort you!!

i do feel this too. after broke up with my previous ex, i feel like maybe relationship, dating and such is just so not me, not for me, just no. but the following day at the church, the priest kinda warn about what u said have power, what u believe might happen. kinda ask repent from that hahahaa but yes, investing time for God is never wrong, He asked us to look for His Kingdom first didnt He?

If God does bring me a partner I will be very surprised and may just die of shock right then and there.

Zero.... I think you might have missed the part about... "God doesn't bring you a wife... he says go FIND one", So you are pretty safe that you will NEVER die of shock in this particular scenario.:)

Staying on topic... Seoul, I understand your frustration with people who don't understand the hurt
of being alone. Four years ago when my ex and I split up, I thought my world had ended and I
couldn't imagine having a life without someone to talk to, to hold, or to love. Here I am four almost
five years later and I am content in my singleness, BUT I don't want to stay that way. I am content
because I am scared I don't know how to love someone. I am scared of being hurt, of not being
someone that they deserve, I am scared of failing, and most of all I am scared of falling in love
all over again and losing who I am to the point that when they walk away from me that I feel the
very breath I breathe is gone. Love is a wonderful and beautiful thing.

After I post this, I will be upset at my openness. This is not something you will see often, because
openness leads to the ability for people to hurt you as I have learned numerous times.

Chrissy77, I'm glad you did post that. I can identify with you many of those feelings. It's encouraging to see you share that. :)

*Hugs* and much love to you, Chrissy... I totally, totally understand how you feel. Thank you for sharing because I often feel like people in my life have been like, "Oh, just get over it!", especially since so much time has gone by.

But it's not something I've ever gotten over, and I feel exactly the same way you do.

Please message me if you ever need to talk.

I'm Sorry... but this thread title is soooooo...NOT BIBLICAL!
The idea that it is God's job to BRING a partner is not biblical... God has done his job! He made Adam and Eve and populated the earth, the secured our redemption and gave us His inspired word with specific guidance on how to pair up!!!

Oh my days! Somebody knight this girl, I was reading this thread banging my head against a wall. So much rubbish being spoken on here.

I know what you mean, Chrissy. I don't like sharing any deep personal feelings online either. Even if they are just ignored it hurts me. This is the reason why I don't reply to a lot of threads, by the way.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. - Proverbs 4:23
